Hell, might even be him after he fell off the bridge and broke his legs! Also I think that another boss shown in the video looks like something in between the Abyss Watchers and the Soul of Cinder from DS3. Note also the NPC resembling Solaire from DS1 or Heide Knight from DS2 in the tavern, and the opening scene with the heroine sitting near the bonfire... I think that Souls series was a certain source of inspiration for Lycanthorn 2.

@flim Nah D4T isn't unknown. Its just that people are a bit lazy when it comes to competition it seems. Also my server focuses on Zandronum stuff only but there are probably Duke Nukem themed mods that work on Zandro.
Everyone's focused on Zandro because lets face it GZdoom is great for mods and TC but is really meh for multiplayer. Zandro while outdated and completely useless as a limit removing source port for a bulk of mods out there it is extremely easy to use it for multiplayer. That's why if people are into modding and multiplayer they tend to(at least in my circle of friends) have both of them installed. A lot of people making mods just don't do it with multiplayer in mind because they know that most people are going to be using GZdoom anyway. For what mods you do find for Zandro they're probably extremely outdated and crap too so you really gotta pick what you care more about really good mods but are single player only really or mods that are meh but hey at least you can play them in multiplayer.

What's funny is the moment I realized "oh, this is Castlevania-inspired" before Icarus said it wasn't the skybox, or the pseudo-NES graphics style, or even the music. It was realizing you were hitting candles for power-ups.
Shrine 2 is wild! I just started playing this about a week ago. Its challenging, fast paced, free and can run on a potato. Gotta love doom mod games XD

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, some sounds are ripped straight from the original Legend of Zelda for the NES. For example, the sound of enemies being killed is the exact same as enemies being killed in LoZ.
It's a standalone game that uses a game engine designed to play doom, but GZDoom only reads files in "doom" format, the contents in the files and the game engine itself are all original. Just so you don't have to think about it anymore
Actually there are reasons to use rain and wrath in Lycanthorn 2. Sprinting while repeatedly using rain's kick midair will boost your self across the map at high speeds. Wrath's special ability is a high jump that can be used to reach secrets. Wrath also appears to be able to stand in acid longer before taking damage. On an unrelated note there's stairs carved into the rockface that let you get out of the area Nosfaratu's castle is in.
I made Lycanthorn 1 in like a week for fun, so yeah I totally just fuckin traced over the worgen model That's the only traced model tho and I'm redrawing it for an eventual steam release since it kinda makes me look like a hack fraud

I honestly couldn't help but attempt the mod with as much Rain as I could, tackling each boss as well. Each encounter seems to have melee in mind, by some manner or degree, and her holy water makes up for many of her shortcomings. It's a strong offensive option, to, if not feeling a touch random. While an artificial inflation of difficulty, it made the experience much more memorable, put more thought into engagements, and was just much more fun! If... a little frustrating. The mountain's ice golem boss certainly was a pain, sliding juuuust out of range for swings. I'd wholly recommend playing through it again and committing to Rain as much as possible!

to get in out of the final dungeon you just use the upwards strike move of the armored werewolf. I was confused at first until I used it to get to the fire dungeon.
I would suggest DoomRPG/RLA but from what I remember you said something about it being a pain in the ass to run. Which I agree, only reason I remember how to run it is because I've played it so much.

Only D&D introduces more civilized and furry-like kinds of lycanthropes. Now, furries (as character species, not a community) are extremely anthropomorphic animals: they have totally human bodies and the only traits they take from animals are: fur covering their bodies, claws, heads and sometimes digitigrade hind paws instead of legs. They have totally human intelligence and sentience, free will, they are not afflicted by a curse. One final remark: the werewolves can also be defined as furries if they have free will and can control their "curse" (it stops being a curse this way, though) and look somewhat appealing: not like shaggy feral dirty scum beasts, but more like noble high-bred mystic shape-shifting creatures. They have fur + they have sentience and intelligence, free will = they can be possibly considered furries (as character species). I hope this can satisfy your curiosity.

Could need melee characters needed to finish off certain enemies like undead by ripping their heads off or doing finisher animations on Kappa by forcing them to drain their water bowls or cutting off a weakpoint by just whacking it or grabbing the enemy which you can't do at range

@@superlukey3 Why regret? I am sure these people did not mean to hurt you by these words, actually they look more like a support. Even if you did not want them, people wanted to give them to you, and now you are free to react in any way you like. Of course, it may be regret if you so desire, but why not opt for something more positive? After all, you did not get flamed yet, did you?
Could need melee characters needed to finish off certain enemies like undead by ripping their heads off or doing finisher animations on Kappa by forcing them to drain their water bowls or cutting off a weakpoint by just whacking it or grabbing the enemy which you can't do at range
add some werewolf specific perks like health regen, dodging, blocking or hyper armour etc
