For me this is the most representing recording of MESHUGGAH. It's live and perfectly showing Frederik's Solo-works, Martens and Dicks fabulous Rhythm-Riffs and of course, the Masterminds drumming! About 10 Years ago I needed some while to get friend with Jens vocals, but soon I understood that nothing else would fit that music. As a guitar teacher I'm used to count out a lot of rock/metal riffs for my students. In this case I stop counting and rely on the halftime feel. I dont mean to sound weird because I thought the Nostrum solo was one of the best things ever on guitar when I heard it and still is. Its ALL good. I will stop being retarded now. Just sayin!!!
That sequence from 15:37 to 16:05 sounds like a sentient collapsing star conversing with a cosmic super computer. Incredible performance. Rational Gaze is simply on another level.
