I love the original albuum solo on Do Not Look Down. It had a very Reb Beach vibe, He's actually my second favorite guitarist behind Fredrik. That's all.
Dude…I don’t know why I never noticed this before in this concert but the SLOWER TEMPO in New Millennium Cyanide Christ BUMPS!😮 Also…1:09:51 is the only time I’ve ever seen Haake make a face as if he’s exerting ANY effort to drum at such a high level lol
I think this was released at the best time. You've got some of old, whilst taking a lot of Obzen and then hammering it home with Koloss. The only thing that would top this is if they added Straws Pulled at Random and Future Breed Machine.
Pretty sure most of this video is at <98% speed. It's definitely more noticeable in some songs than others...but Lethargica, Do Not Look Down, and Bleed are super obvious. Kinda surprised more people haven't mentioned it.
In "I am colossus" I've always wished that they do the intro to it, but waited to more beats. Creating that longer empty space for that extra, Extra surprise when the track starts to hammer through.
That sequence from 15:37 to 16:05 sounds like a sentient collapsing star conversing with a cosmic super computer. Incredible performance. Rational Gaze is simply on another level.
I keep coming to this recording's "New Millennium Cyanide Christ" at least once a week. It's just s a a w groovieh! 🕺🏼 Keep arguing like that, and you won't get nuttin' but a bunch of high-fives, mate! 🙌🏽
It's a masterpiece for sure. It's hilarious that they did that record to try to get out of the record deal they had at the time, because they thought that no label would release an album that is a 47 minute song. However, the label loved it so much that they were like "Yeah, we are releasing this"
Meshuggah inspired a whole genre but all bands were less heavy and more pop and nobody came closer to them even after so many years. This phenomenon is complete opposite of what happens in music i e bands get heavier n extreme n experimental much later after the birth of a new genre defying genre has happened.
Meshuggah at their peak and plateau : Obzen and Koloss. Not to say their subsequent records aren't good obviously ( that new record is fantastic ) But here we have Live versions of Bleed with an incredible solo, Obzen, Demiurge, Swarm, Dancers to a Discordant System and even some Catch 33... I only wish the sound mix wasn't so bloody weird and noisy - I own the DVD and it's the same problem with the guitars. Everything sounds good except for Marten and Fredrik, unless they're on the Low F. All their riffs sound like a low quality mp3 version.
This version of Obzen is fucking immaculate. There's no other word for it.
Absolutely wild how tight this band is.
obzen at 1.25 speed
Thank you bro
10:35 Éxtasis !!!!!!
Why are they tightest band on the planet... it's not fair 😂❤😢😮
One night i was in my bed with headphones on and eas listening to this, and actually fell asleep
This is the setlist of all setlists
8:52 is no one gonna talk about this insane fill from Tomas!?

Love that FLRSH video, sad cause deleted, thanks for reuploaded
The transition between "the hurt that finds you first" and "iam colossus" will never not hit incredibly hard
Original removed in FLRSH Channel , сopyright did his job ... thank you for saving the legend video , i love it 🥲
Awesome 3 time in live. Brutal perfection! 🧔♀️🇸🇪🎤🥁🎸🤘💪
Best Bleed solo, even with the album version.
The Godfather...The Innovatiors of its own genre...I present you the BEST MTFKING BAND IN THE WORLD... MESHUGGGAAAHHHH

True. but nonetheless, this is probably the best setlist of theirs. Feels like an actual album start to finish
@@trippinatormachine Check out their show from Bloodstock, shit is fucking mental.

No no they play em slow live
1:02:29 holy fucking shit, how he exits this unbelievable solo made me spit my coffee out.
1:30:22 who got the stick?
INCREKURWADIBLE

The Dude Abides
Shout out to the star of the show in the back ground at 0:05
25:12 ❤❤
Technically unrivalled
1:13:00 brings joy to my heart.
17:36 It's illegal for 'obZen' to be this heavy.
17:35 The sound of planets colliding.
I wish I could like this again and again. One of my favourite live concerts of any band, absolutely devastating.
"Who in this rot has authority to treat with me" -Tolkien, There is no other band like Meshuggah.
My pickled brain develops new Neural Pathways with each listen One of the GOATs
I'm feeling that.
13:50 "I like juice, finish your juice filtered vitamin substance" One of the heaviest objects in the universe is Meshuggah
I like juice IT'S THE TRUTH! Filtered vitamin substance. At least get the real lyrics right 😛

Fredriks solos are probably a long lost alien language and we're probably all too dumb to realize
From when i first heard it till the day i die, 1:20:00 will always be one of the best drops in music history.
Man, it's so awesome that they played Mind's Mirror through In Death - Is Death. Catch 33 is their best work, fight me

The last vigil is their best track, punch my nuts if you don’t agree

I got catch 33 when it came out when I was 13 and I've been obsessed with them ever since.
I seen them open for tool in 06 snd almost gut to see them at the norva in VA small club but I missed it
We need a 30 minute loop of 15:36 to 16:02. Freaking awesome.
The ultimate soundtrack of genius
I remember standing next to Jens in Zagreb and commenting on his Big Lebowski tshirt during the warmup... he's a really nice guy...

Where can i donwload this concert in full HD+ ?

This has got to be the least violent meshuggah pit I've ever seen.
Just like Tool - the album version is a mere reminder what the live version is like.
Agreed 100000%
my hears bleed of pleasure
swarm might be the heaviest song ever
