RPMA arms - strong yet flexible-bought them for my MT10 - had to file them to fit- they are way better than brittle stock arms

Agreed! Seems like the arms are hit or miss with fitment. On my 2wd I didn’t have to file them, but on my 4x4 slash I had to remove a decent amount of material to get them to fit right. They were seizing up my suspension lol.

RPM also makes offset compensating arms for the 2WD Stampede and Rustler.
Although, for those you can also simply swap in Slash 2wd rear arms. They are shorter than the stock ones and will also accomplish a square stance.
Shortening the rears to match the existing front instead of lengthening the front to match the rears. If you run FRONT offset wheels at all four, it will be incrementally wider. Same trick also applies with a square setup Slash.
The neat thing about Slash arms on a Rustler/Stampede is, you get some toe in out back where they are basically at zero with the stock ones.
I could NEVER keep my 2wd Rustler VXL pointed forward under acceleration as "stock" with a 3S battery. With the Slash arms, its extremely stable, a very fast and fun setup.

Man I learned a lot from your comment! Hadn’t even considered swapping arms from a slash to a rustler or stampede, but you’re right. I could totally see how that would help.

@@FAST_RC I am sure others have done what I do with the 2wd Rustler/Stampede but I remember getting comments of “oh, the extra stability from the wider front arms is so much more worth it.”
Without that toe in out back, you’re spinning out not going fast.
I suppose in the end if you run the RPM transmission housing, which allows you to add toe in, you can then run the wide fronts and have the best of everything…
… but that’s a lot more expensive than just rear arms and that transmission is still not as good as a Magnum upgrade.
