@@Fenric859 True, but in Honor Mode Ansur has an invisible Relentless Endurance ability (the same ability that the Half Orc race has) and once this ability is triggered he will immediately start charging for his Stormheart Nova attack, even though it's still your turn. He als gets 100 temporary HP and resistance to all dmg types.
@@SleepingDog.the legendary actions are still reactions, since he was in the surprise effect it didn't triggered, i saw the same thing with the owlbear happening where it didn't called for the other one
@@duarrdos You're right they are reactions, but they are not normal reaction and therefore will still be triggered, even if they are surprised. You can even see this in the video that Ansur tired to trigger his legendary action. He gained the 1 HP from his invisible Relentless Endurance ability, but then he still died for some reason. For the owlbear thing you saw it must have been caused by something else. I would assume you stunned/paralyzed her, or used Command Halt, because this would prevent them from using their legendary actions.
Been envisioning a build like this is my head for the past couple of days but not sure how to go about it, really appreciate the levelling guide in description, thankyou!
STR determines how good your Athletic skill is. Athletic is the most important stat for your characters moveability, which mainly comes from the fact that it increases how far and high you can jump. To be fair this falls of a lot in the late game, because at this point it gets a lot easier to gain access to the flying ability, but it's still a good skill to have.
I'm using enlarge (scroll) and a speed potion, but that's it. I also used the Drakethroat Glaive to boost my weapons damage, but technically that's an item that's part of every martial class build. At least that's how I see it.
@@SleepingDog. Thanks dude, and do you reccomend leveling in this order? I'm having a bit of difficulty in act 2 around level 6 on honor mode, I was wondering if its better for me to level fighter first after 1 level in rogue.
@@MonkeyMaster12 If you feel more comfortable getting your fighter class up first, sure you can do that. I just went for the assassin subclass first, because I like to do a lot of surprise attacks. But I can see how it can be though not having the Extra Attack ability, once you reached the second act.
Act 1: - Haste Helm - Deathstalker Mantle - Spidersilk Armour - Gloves of Power - Disintegrating Night Walkers - Swiresy Shoes - Broodmother’s Revenge - Caustic Band and Strange Conduit Ring - Phalar Aluve and Knife of the Undermountain King - Bow of the Banshee Act 2: - Haste Helm - Deathstalker Mantle - Cloak of Protection - Yuan-Ti Scale Mail - Flawed Helldusk Gloves - Gloves of the Automaton to keep your advantage in longer fights - Disintegrating Night Walkers - Evasive Shoes - Broodmother’s Revenge - Caustic Band and Strange Conduit Ring - Killer's Sweetheart - Sword of Life Stealing and Knife of the Undermountain King - Drakethroat Glaive for the 1d4 elemental dmg buff - Bow of the Banshee - Darkfire Shortbow for the Haste spell
Pretty much, don't have any use for the other Feats. You could use Martial Adept for the 1 additional Superiority Die, but it's more or less whatever. Early game you need this Feat though, because you're wielding a Longsword and a Shortsword until you killed Orin.
@@joshsmith8466 No, on your next long rest after his ascension you will trigger a cutscene and if you are his lover you can ask him to turn you into a vampire, which he will then do. Though before he will turn you, he will ask you to have sex with him one last time while you're still alive, which I believe you have to accept not 100% sure though.
Anyone else saw this happen before? Ansur’s second phase just got straight up skipped/cancelled. 🤔
It's because he needs a turn to charge up his massive attack

Man you sure are something else, I love your videos.
Also thanks for adding all the build info in the description

Awesome, like every video, why do you need 16str? Your weapons are finesse right? wont they benefit only from dex?

Why : Dual Wielder Feat ? Just for the AC bonus ? You have 2 light weapon, no need this feat, yeah ?

How you got 'happy' buff while not playing as Astarion?
Ascended Astarion can turn you into a vampire, if you are his lover.

Why he run at the beggining?
I'm running at the beginning so I can do a surprise attack against him.
