OMG! This is so inspirational. It’s giving me so many ideas to work with my old Crosstitch that’s packed away not to mention all those vintage pieces of embroidery and lace that I just kept in my stash. now I have to go back and look at that medallion quilt video. Thank you!
This is so inspiring! It was wonderful to see others appreciate the work that goes into not only cross-stitch but all handwork. I have been “collecting and rescuing” handwork for years and NOW I have some more wonderful ideas of putting them to use.
So happy you save old cross-stitching projects. So much hard work not appreciated by others. Thank you for sharing your collection. Love your fall hanging with all the little quilts hanging on the clothesline. It's beautiful!
Your idea is so creative and beautiful. I know how you feel about preservering these gorgeous works of art. My mother-in-law made some beautiful pieces I saved because I couldn't bear to just toss out. I'm so glad you showed me what I could do to preserve them. Thank you so much for sharing your idea.
I'm new here and so pleased to watch your tutorials! I've been quilting for over forty years and am happy to learn new techniques and ideas! You're a wonderful teacher, calm and interesting, with great humor! Thank you!
this is a wonderful idea!!! I agree taht so many embroidered items have been thrown out by the new generation!...thanks I loved it and I am saving it too
Oh my, you’re the best! Sharing your ideas and projects with us is inspiring and thoughtful! I feel the same way about rescuing things that others discard so this is another way of doing that! Thanks for all your videos and I just love the use of your scraps!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
I was so surprized when the Amish house and barn came up . I cross stitched that years ago . Framed it and it's been on my wall ever since. Love it and your work is lovely. Thanks
I love this! I have been doing it for years. I also make cute cushions, especially with stitched ‘thatched cottages’. I appreciate that a little work of art is re-invented. Thx for more ideas. 💕🇨🇦🥰
My daughters fiance mother died, she had some beautiful hand embroidery, I was going to put in small quilt, you inspired me for courthouse pattern, thank you! I was going for a framed picture, but now I think a couch pillows! ❤
You have inspired me to make things with my cross stitch. I have several samplers and never knew what to do with them. Now I do! I love your videos. You make quilting simple. Love it girl
Oh my gosh, I never thought of taking pictures out of a panel and framing it. Now my mind is racing to say, "Hay what did I do with those cute patriotic bears that where not enough to make a quilt, but framed would make an awesome hanging in a Childs room. Thank you for this inspiration.
I love this! Thanks for explaining about lightest to darkest for courthouse/log cabin. I spend way too long figuring that out. Now I will forever have your words in my head. I also hate things to be abandoned in thrift store. I also pick up toddler smocked clothes that have stains on them. I try to recycle all of those things into what I call half sized twin bed quilts. Every child needs something like that to cuddle. I must confess that I alive to find the Christmas ones and I am saving them for a quilt to go on my bed. I also like to pick up clothes that have patches sewn on them. The ones from the 70’s are the best. Great video.
I just found your channel a week ago! Oh how I love your happy loving personality! I’m also loving your creativity ! God bless you and your family! Thank you for your videos! Oh I almost forgot I wanted to thank you so very much for your easy peasy Technique for binding! I’ve always struggled with it and I was teaching a class last week to 4 pre-teen girls and I was looking for yet another way of making binding ! So thank you because I found your video in just the moment when I so very much needed it! My prayers were truly answered! ❤️😊👍🇺🇸
Thank you for sharing such a practical and creative idea to utilize attractive cross stitched panels. I have several that I really liked, but didn't want to frame to hang on my walls. I didn’t know what else to do with them, so they languished out of site in my closet. Now I know just what to do to bring them out of the dark, put them to good use and truly enjoy them - you've inspired me! 😊
Hi Dawn. Thank you for the video. This topic is perfect timing for me. I'm ready to FFO some cross stitch pieces. I particularly love your appliqued piece. ⚘️
I love this! I have several cross stitch pieces panels that I've never stretched and framed. Time to get some out and see what I might make with them now;)
Your creativity is so amazing and inspiring!! I have a crewel piece that I've saved because of the gorgeous saturated colors but haven't known how to use it. THANK YOU for sharing your talents and knowledge. Now I can make a wall-hanging and enjoy my beautiful piece.
Oh my goodness, this is such a great idea/video! I’ve been struggling, trying to get a cross stitch perfectly squared with sticky board. Every time I think it’s perfect, it’s not. I’m going to do the courthouse steps now and frame it! Thank you! Love your channel 👏🏻💕🧵🧶
I always feel sorry for the pieces of embroidery, crewel or crosstitch that I come across in my travels. I also find beautiful handkerchiefs as well. This will inspire me to do something with them! Thank you!!
@merrymabelmarket i had a collection from over the years. Lol they would have been in good hands had you found them:) you turned that handwork into art work. Love your ideas!
I just found your channel and this tutorial. It is just what I have been looking for. I cross stitched for years and have so many that I wanted to to do something with. Even some baby ones. This is perfect. You are very thoroughal. Great video. I am wondering about using stabilizer on back of embroidery
These ideas are wonderful! I love salvaging old things tossed away. I'll have to look for more embroidery projects at thrift stores! I bought a framed farm pumpkin patch embroidered that I use for a fall decoration. I have been wanting to ask someone and thought you might know. I bought a quilted "former linen" tablecloth that really just looks like a quilt, but I felt like it also could serve as a tablecloth still. Silly probably, since it's thick, but it has orange and yellow colors and is so cheerful that I use it to pretty up the table sometimes. I prefer us not eating on it as I have 4 children (so it doesn't get stained!). Do you know what people do with old linen tablecloths made into quilts by chance? Or have ideas for me? Thank you so much!❤
I raised 6 children, so I can relate. I used to use a quilt on my table as a tablecloth. Then, I went and bought that plastic that they sell on rolls. (Maybe JOAnn's? - It has been years ago, but I bought mine at a small shop that was in my town.) You could see right through the plastic and still wipe off the children's spills. Best wishes!!
Мне очень понравилась эта технология,спасибо!!!!! Твоя линейка меня заинтересовала ,как ты режешь по ней сверху и ножь у тебя интересный,где ты все это купила? Спасибо!
Oh my what a wonderful creative lady i love the way you take love in your work love love you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

There is no need for stabilizer. Make one first and see. Aida cloth is cotton and works great as is.
@@merrymabelmarket thank you. I wondered especially the 11 and 14 count Aida.
Wow.... beautiful
