@SOMNIOHM slap sell is an appropriate statement for the out of the box initial experience of the MT version. As said things change later when the slap sell is removed from the picture.

_Being "the new kid on the __-chopping-__ block" here as you would call it, I think what we have here is 2 very new, very unique platforms that are essentially breaking the mold. They are not like anything else out there in their own right anyway. SURE they may have many areas that need improved upon! As we all know.. NO RC is perfect! What they did do right out of box was killer electronics, and both vehicles handle incredibly! (FOR AN OUT OF BOX RTR) I beg you to go find better.. you cannnnnot!_

Nice job Guy! Very smart observation. Hopefully they listen snd fix it. Those exposed parts are definitely a problem as well. I like the truck body a little better, but its kinda weird looking as well. Could you cut bigger holes in another body and use it with that mounting system?

I ran mine for the first time today and during the run it was making a grinding sound it looked to be the center differential making the sound any thoughts?
I don't think there's anything nefarious going on there. Just lack of testing which is becoming more obvious since returning to the hobby. I already fell for the "ooh pretty body" RC with the Bonzai drift truck. It's kinda like this, a new startup company cloning the bigger guys but with their own little touches. I'm all for it if the cars work and customer service is good. Look at Rlaarlo, out there killin' it right now. Freakin' Bonzai though... I emailed the guy about wheels months ago and 👻ed! 😆

I bought the same paddle tires and tried them on my landslide. The landslide tires did better in the snow. but the paddles work great on 10th scale monster trucks. But yeah, they really just made the buggy and slapped bigger wheels on it. 😂

Not at the moment, I've asked tough and it might be a possibility just not for now. Got to say the MT version is kicking some serious butt now that I squared away the tire/wheel issue😜👍💯👊
People have fixed shock problem by using traxxas max shocks, which are fixing the problem well a guy went quite crazy at skate park using max shock and the truck held up well. Those shocks are weirdly clipped at bottom rather than screw in. Put green max shocks on go again. Also trim body slightly. Hope it helps.
That was JayTee and the Maxx shocks were too long and made the car bounce to much. They need to be shortened.
@TheflyingkiwiRC Yeah bounced a bit but it was a massive improvement still. 🤔 measure shock length, then find some a just a couple of mil longer. I don't actually know the length of them but can see they're short. Maybe kraton 1/10 gorgon shocks perhaps.
Wow that's great for whoever fixed whatever issue they were having. Unfortunately on my end I've measured and checked multiple shock lengths and the Traxxas Maxx that I have (both of them V1 and V2) No way in hell would I put those shocks on this truck. They are way too long. So I don't know what got fixed with what. There's a lot more missing in the information that you gave as well. The hardware used for a Traxxas Maxx shock is not as built as the WOV So I'm not sure what you mean 🤷. Thanks for the info anyway.
@rcguygarage The shock bottoms the eyelet part if you will, isn't threaded they aren't screwed on like with most shock, they just just have one grove, on the shock rod and are molded on. Rather than full thread. So hard impact the bottom is pulling off that one little grove is the only that's holding it on. It's a big design flaw in the shocks.

Shock towers look to narrow, with the shocks to close together. At to steeper angle on the shocks.
Longer arms, taller towers. Longer shocks. I see it.

I wonder if it would be a possible fix to fabricate a shock top extension bracket. I guess the Tyrants was the main focus for the design team and the Blitzkrieg was an after thought.

Hey guy you know jt the youtuber? Well he got traxxas maxx shocks and put them on and I think it helped can't remember.
Yes I know who JT is. He's seemingly a good guy. People have told me that he has put Traxxas Max shocks on. Prior to this I had already measured out every RC that I have for fitment and in my world my Traxxas Max V1 and V2 the shocks 100% do not correctly work and do not fit as a drop in. So I don't know what he did but that's not the real resolve. I feel the better resolve is different that is just my opinion.
Well actualy I like that it does not bottom out when the shocks are fully compressed and hate a car that hits bottom after a jump, it must be rolling on its wheels nomatter what for me, so honestly I realy like that truck exept for the wheel struts touching the boddy, that for me is a huge no no as with you 👍, but it can be modified I spose though I don't like that either, but yeah I think the buggy is still a better option 👌

So all said and done what is the verdict?
I had to shave off the finder’s on both sides. Also don’t like the head lights on it looks cheaper then other brands. But was a easy fix I replaced them better looking head light and grill

I’m sure many have their own opinions but bottoming out on the shock is fine … I always put bump stops … it’s that crazy angle 📐 on shocks creating too much stress…
Well said and being a buggy the angle is fine but introducing the extra width is where they screwed up and not changing the angle. I semi-agree and disagree with what you said about the shocks. Shocks in reality are supposed to soak up everything but that's also why they have something called a jounce bumper which is exactly what you were talking about They do not have this on the shocks and that is a negative maybe placing an o-ring there or two would help but even that wouldn't last very long
Yes an oring or 2 wouldn’t hurt but like you said in vid … the tires absorb shock too … and flex in plastic a arms also help as well … I think it’s not too much a concern that it doesn’t bottom out … personally I’d prefer that it doesn’t… thanks for the reply 👍👍👍

I didnt see any issues to make you feel like the truck was a "slap sell" , did they make some miscalculations on suspension geometry ?..sure.. but they seem to have started with the buggy, and made slight changes to offer a "monster truck" I dont own either of them , I havent driven them.. this is just my thoughts after watching all your videos on these RCs, I feel like they made the Buggy, and someone had the idea that they needed to make a truck option , and without having to go down the road of new tooling to redesign the arms and suspension,.. someone said.. "lets just offer it this way, and see if anyone even buys these before we put more money into this" .. Just my 2 cents as an outsider.. I do hope they take Your thoughts and the others who have bought them thoughts on how to redesign the suspension and offer rebuild parts that make it how the people want it, Sitting by waiting for the next Vid :) 😃
Nail on the head comment 👍💯 But that's also where a company can FAIL by allowing greed and less R&D come into the picture and infiltrate the original design which I do believe like you said was the buggy. If I receive this truck first which I got them both at the same time so let's just say it this way If I had opened the other box first by the flip of the quarter I would not have been happy and that would have sent me up If this was my only purchase to not be thrilled.

I bought two of the trucks and they’re both broken with no parts support. I’m pissed.
Very Typical of lower priced "off brand" new RC releases, and some "big brand" new RC releases, they release the vehicles without much part support until months or more later, that is a part of doing the homework before buying to make sure they are easy to contact, and there is replacement parts available immediately upon purchase, since we all know even the high end very durable RCs are going to need some kind of replacement parts eventually.. If they get driven
