Great video. Yea, the fourth gen pro is noticeably better overall, and time will tell on the reliability department. In the meantime, I’ll stick with my 22 pro because the main reason I bought a third gen is obviously because the long-term reliability proved itself for me since I had a first gen Tacoma for over 24 years without any major problems.
$65,000 is the price of a base model 2025 BMW X5. I'm not paying that for a midsized truck. I overland and rock crawl. The 2023 will be the last new Tako I own. From now on I'll be buying older models and upgrading them when necessary. but most of the upgrades on this new truck I don't need.
I got a 2019 SR5 that i put about 20g into. It really wouldn't be much cheaper than the new trucks. My concern would be reliability of the new trucks. It can be as expensive or cheap as you want it to be. Do whatever you want or can afford with your truck. Don't worry about what people on the Internet think.
I had an 18 Pro. I traded it in on a 24 offroad manual. This is my 6th Tacoma and by far the best one yet..Not sure about the reliability yet but I have 25k km and not one hiccup yet.
I just Lemon Lawed a 24' Limited. Too many cosmetic issues! I couldn't imagine off-roading wirh the new Tacoma PRO. Too much plastic up front. Plus, too lite in the backend. That's why I kept the 2014 Raptor. It's is an Altitude Edition with the 6.2 supercharged motor. It's a beast with under 13K on it......
Ranger Raptor for $57K is my choice, you have to drive one to appreciate it. Yet not affordable to many people, if you are fortunate enough to have that kind of income it’s the only choice for me, Merry Christmas
The right generation is the one you can afford.

2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro owner here. Best truck I’ve ever had by far. Wouldn’t trade it for the world. 😎

I want the 2024 love the looks and technology behind it. But im afraid of this 4 cylinder turbo I wish they didn’t put that motor in it.

Old, technology is the nemesis of newer trucks.
