Who’s hating? This is a solid pass/ET for a very basic truck build. And it’s seemingly on a very conservative tune, running a bit on the rich side most likely to keep things safe, so there’s probably not a lot of timing in it either I would guess. Lots more in this truck if he wanted to run it on the ragged edge, but why would he. The thing would make one hell of a daily and could still walk 80% of cars on the road around him.

Theres really no need for it unless your roll racing and you need rpms up but from a dig hmm maybe he wanted a lil more rpm then what the tune had for auto. Btw this is definitely not a manual valve body see him shift from 2-3 how long it took.

4:10 made a huge difference. You can always use the online gear calculator and play with the rear gear size to see what you end up with as a MPH in 3rd. If you shoot for around 140-150 mph in 3rd 4:10-4:56 are a good area to be in.

If you look closely he moves the column shifter himself, he had it in 1st gear and he just manually bumped it up each time he needed to shift
