Read a worse one. A Boeing Maxi pilot managed to land a 737 after fighting its auto-pilot which wanted to drop the plane's nose - all the way into the ground. This pilot just said in passing to the next, rookie pilot, something to the effect that he had better watch that plane. And the plane crashed, killing everyone.

He was probably a divorcee himself and possibly sympathised with her, thinking he wished he had done the same. Either that or he just didn't care what she wanted the gun for as long as he got a sale.

@@honestyisadyingvirtue Whole other topic to what I wrote. HOWEVER, the solution - law revision - to present day prison's cushiness opens the door to true punishment of the kind I mention in my comment. Only through making prison the scary place it should be will punishment be found - not with a death penalty.
So many people baying like rabid dogs about the death penalty -- makes me wonder if they truly want justice or if they just want to slake their own bloodlust but want to do it legally.

I have seen too many cases where a partner murdered their spouse of 15+ years.
I have also seen too many cases where all the neighbors, friends, siblings and even exes and parents would never believe the person they knew were capable of the crimes they committed. Sometimes not even the spouse.

She's married to him less than a year before she decides to kill him? I can think of no reason why she would have married him except for his money because surely going from at least THINKING she loved him to hating him so much she wanted him dead would have taken longer than a year. There is one commenter who has indicated that he was not a nice person and maybe he wasn't but I'm pretty sure she would have known this before she married him and if so she could have married him for no reason except for his money and no matter how nasty he might have been, the concept of some gold digger marrying him with the express purpose of murdering him for his money is just disgusting and makes her more repulsive than he was. I'm glad she didn't get away with this.

I always google for these perps on these true crime shows, when I don't hear "Without parole." And you guessed it, at least 40 percent of them are now running around free. Pranti is one of them. He served 36 years and is right now trying to get his conviction thrown out. Even before looking, I knew from this show (which used forensic Odontology) that Odontology had been thrown out as forensic proof, so I wasn't surprised to find he was free. The question then is still, who did it?

Dental Indentations (Bite Marks) were an embarrassment and shameful that in a modern era of science and forensics they were ever allowed into evidence. It was actually by mistake when a singular case allowed a specific detail about teeth impressions that opened the door to the "junk science" to gain footing in the courts. Within a few short years courts realized how ridiculous and terribly inaccurate they are. In fact, it was pointed out that dental indentations are often thought no better evidence than blood typing! Several state supreme courts quickly ruled Odontologists can only testify that dental indentations be used to exclude a person but no longer be evidence to convict a person. More people have been granted new trials because dental indentations were used as evidence which are now considered "junk science" than for any other reason in the last 2 decades.

I know that ceramics are being experimented with but they can't handle the chamber pressure of modern powders and the ATF, FBI, etc don't want ceramic firearms because they don't show up well on security machines. I KNOW the silhouette shows up on the X-Ray machine for airports but it still makes it easier to hide.
