    Until relatively recently anti-freeze resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of pets and wild animals a year. Because of its sweet taste and palatability animals would drink it, often from either pure puddles of it or from water puddles contaminated with anti-freeze. Because of its color and sweetness it was also very attractive to young children. It took scores of decades and a California law before the manufacturers FINALLY agreed to a slight cost in production of placing an additive in it to make it unpalatable, but so many animals and people suffered needlessly and/or died because of the makers’ greed.

      I'm diabetic, too. Get yourself a home water distiller and distill your own water.
      Ten times cheaper and better than any bottled water, not to mention the plastic chemicals that can leach into plastic water bottles. I use the WaterWise distiller, on Amazon. It changed my life, believe me.

      @@tiffsaver we have a spring on our rural property which we have tested. No arsenic in it but it may still need boiled because we're worried about bacteria. We've been thinking about destilling it actually. It's already clean and cold and tastes better than the rural water in our house. We own the entire watershed for where this spring is located so we know exactly what goes onto that hillside and there are cows. So we are not using it right now. But we're developing it.but

      I have a great idea for you. Simply go online to find labs that will check all of the chemical components in your well water. Just fill the little vial they send you with your water, then send it back. They'll tell you exactly what's in your water, and for little cost. With a little luck, you may not have to distill or filter your water at all.

      @@tiffsaver we have had one series of tests done already. That's where we learned about possible coliform bacteria. We did not grow E. coli. however. It was recommended that we "shock" it with chlorine and test again. We're discussing doing this or just going ahead and drilling a deep well. They take our rural water out of a nearby river. It's disgusting.

    They shouldn't have called those neighbors "nosy". These were people who were concerned. That's a good neighbor. They might have prevented other murders from being committed by the same criminals.

      I don’t mind having nosy neighbors because they have helped protect our neighborhood quite a few times from thieves or people trying to break in to houses. Their help kinda created a sense of community. I joined in being night watch in the neighborhood since I have insomnia. I have only had to call the police on someone trying to break into my bedroom window but I’m not in everyone’s business.

    • @scootermom1791
      @scootermom1791 Рік тому +2

      Same! In fact, I'd rather have a "nosy" neighbor than one who wasn't. Those are the people who will call the police if they hear screams or if they sense child abuse or drug trafficking is going on in the neighborhood.
      I absolutely can't STAND when people hear someone screaming; DON'T call the police; and later find out the person "disappeared" and was murdered. If I hear screaming, unless I can tell it's play screaming from kids, I call the police. Even if there's nothing wrong, at least they checked. Police do welfare checks all the time.
      When I call the police, I usually ask to remain anonymous, too, so there isn't some sort of retaliation.

    Two fifty year sentences for Timothy Scoggin in Texas for two premeditated, first degree murders against defenseless elderly people? I looked up his sentence. It actually totaled 150 years on all of the charges, to be served consecutively, not concurrently, which is usually the case, which is effectively a life sentence, obviously. His release date is listed as “1/1/9999.”

    Poison Mind: The True Story of the Mensa Murderer and the Policewoman Who Risked Her Life to Bring Him to Justice by Good and Goreck. The husband of a cardiologist poisoned his neighbors, teenagers and their mom, because they were playing rock music too loud. He had slipped in their back door, grabbed a six-pack of Coke or Pepsi, poured poison into each bottle and recapped the bottles, returning the drinks to the neighbor's house. The poison was a medicine used by cardiologists.

I can live with that, however I realise that a house divided against it self can't stand, and that's the real plan to make good people become either victims,or full of hate from the circumstances surrounding losing a loved one. Just be careful out there.
