My current favourite Djokovic and my tennis idol Pete...enjoyed the humble conversation these 2 had...nice anchoring by Tim..I remember the days when Pete was winning everything I literally wanted someone to beat him😀 what so admirable about Pete is that his dead calmness, complete concentration, his stamina and power, he was well ahead of his time kinda of player that too without much technology, advancement in nutrition at that time ....shocking he had to retire at age of 32 else he would have won 3 or 4 GS more. To say otherwise , if same Prime Pete plays now with so much advancement in sports he would have all the capability to dethrone Top 3 with his thunderbolt/accurate serve, Volley, lightening forehand, bullet backhand and his rock solid stamina . I can talk about Pete hours and hours that’s how much I dissected his game and now I love doing it for Novak. 2 amazing players who makes tennis interesting.

Andy Roddick had a HUGE serve.. but Pete's even though it wasn't as fast was always more dangerous.. to quote Jim Courier "Pete has such a presence on the court that is so tough to deal with and you can be as mentally tough as you want to be, you just can't deal with that serve"

Playing and WNNING against the crowds most of his biggest matches, particularly when fighting for trophies - requires a mental giant. Novak’s ability to turn adversary into his advantage is unheard of. “When they chant Roger, Roger, I hear Novak, Novak” is probably the biggest statement in sports! Both have/had the best single shot in the game at their times - Pete w/the serve, Novak with the return - and both were not crowd favorites and had to fight through that, though Pete didn't seem to really care that much if the crowd liked him or not which I think helped him immensely with stress. Pete and Novak have been 2 of my favorite players in the last 25 years. I first became a tennis fan and follower in 1995. Pete emerged as my favorite way back then. Rooted for him all the time and watched as many of his matches as I could. Became a big Novak fan around 2012. He’s my current favorite player and I wish nothing but the best for him. Really hope he ends up with the most slam titles before he retires, besting Roger and Rafa.

@@narcyznarcyz-uv4td I was a Sampras fan.. but I always appreciated what Agassi brought to the game.. and when they got together it was much watch tennis.. Sampras was always known more as a serve and volley guy.. Agassi was Aggressive Baseliner but Sampras said that he'd make it a point in those matches to stand back and bang with him because he knew that if he could beat Agassi at his own style he could kill his spirit.. made for a clash of the titans..

@@narcyznarcyz-uv4td I feel like Agassi’s game would translate so well to the modern day. He was probably the 3rd best baseline player of all time behind only Nadal and Djokovic and just barely in front of Federer. I disagree with you on the “these kids need to stop standing 20 feet behind the baseline” though. It doesn’t work for everyone, but for very strong players like Thiem Nadal or Wawrinka it’s an incredibly effective strategy. They just get to hit the ball so hard off the return. Fun fact: Nadal is statistically the 2nd best of all time at breaking serve, ahead of Djokovic, Murray and Agassi.
