He is telling the truth. Faith works as we OBEY TRUTH. 74 years old here. 53 years born again. Disobey and you suffer consequences. He is good. Let’s obey and trust Him.

What? Faith is not a work.

Christ LEADS you through the hard work. That’s how it work. That’s what that verse means. That’s why he puts you in hurtful and bad situations…to strengthen you. That’s the point.

He speaks the truth! Christians believe that God will just fix things without us doing our part.

That’s so true, I lived my Christian life with this belief. Last month the Holy Spirt revealed that belief was erroneous. Now am getting confirmation listening to these teachings.

This is SO NOT TRUE! How can you talk on behalf of Christians”?! I not know even one brother or sister around me, thinking like that!

The context of Phil 4:13 is living with a little or a lot. The point Paul is making is that he learned contentment in every circumstance because God gave him the strength to endure.

He found the strength to endure as we all can. It starts from within. 💜

Such a good thing, thank you. I was one of those in the Christian community who have been trying to take shortcuts...

3:29 I disagree with Tim’s take on Galatians 4:19. If you read chapter 3, Paul is giving this church a reality check- O’ foolish Galatians who has bewitched you? They wanted to return to the law rather than faith. Paul isn’t saying “stop being lazy”.
Tim is right that there are struggles in life. Struggles make people stronger but that is not what this passage is talking about

    Philippians 4:13
when people quote this verse as a way to push away thinking about negative issues in their life, it’s kinda wacky considering Paul wrote this saying “I know how to be fed and to be hungry”- as the pretext for this verse. It’s not what the kicker says before he kicks a field goal 🙄.

Around 19 what Paul was saying is he can live whether he is abounding or a based and be content in Christ. Go back and read the context.
