Had these on for 2 years on my jk, get the extra armor if you use your jeep, learned that the hard way. Also I've had a problem with my driver side in the cold weather doesn't want to go all the way up moves freely but something about the cold weather and the motor. These are a must have for me, my wife has a bad leg after an accident years ago and she wouldn't be able to get in the jeep without them. Not perfect but they are worth the minor head ache for me
I put a set of these on my 17 jku, in the spring of 2019. Started having problems with drivers side step not working properly, then the step internals broke. Rock slide was fast to get me a new step, they were very helpful . I started having more issues with them and decided they were not going to work for me. Removed them October 2019 , put a normal step slider on. They may work fine if you live out west and stay out of mud or other wet conditions. I run trails that do get wet and muddy . I wash the Jeep off as soon as I get back home , but the step sliders just don't work well after getting muddy/sandy wet , even after cleaning them. I felt the need to let people know this . This product did not work for me, however, they may work for you. Keep them clean , and properly lubed , and they may last you a long time.
You can flip the switch for them to stay down while the doors are off, but if you’re off-roading they’ll likely get ripped off. If the doors are off and they are up then they are just like every other step on the market. Not a huge fan of wheeling without doors so for us and most of our customers it’s not a big deal. Some people like to wheel door-less though, and for them they just have to stick with the steps being up during that time

Very cool. That orange Jeep needs a dead pedal. Aftermarket makes a great one for the JL.

Kim Caldwell great feedback! Yeah they work great for us, but we NEVER get in the mud. Good to know RSE took care of you when you needed it.
Someone PLEASE, what wheels are those? Love at first sight yup!
would these work with half doors? would just a extra set of magnets do the trick for the half doors?
CidNasty correct, they would with a set of magnets.
What magnets did you use? Those seemed to be different than the ones that come with the steps
Those are the magnets that come with the kit.
👍
Are there sensors for both front and rear doors?
Yes there is!
How much for an installation?
Call the shop and we’ll be happy to discuss pricing.
I wonder what solutions they have so when the rig is doorless. You still need the step bars to get in...

they sell door delete kits so you can operate them with a bottom when the door is off
The price kills me, but they are nice
So, they are attached to the body? No thanks
No, they use the body mount of the FRAME.
