I love how fast this tutorial was. I just wanted the edging pattern to add to a blanket I have made. this is perfect because of the flowers I have in the blanket.
I'm SO GLAD you answered the question (in the comments) about doing this on a corner. This is such a beautiful edging and would be adorable on a Spring / Summer purse. Especially for little girls. Thank you.
This year I'm hot and heavy into Christmas Crochet :-( already. But I DO have it on my 'to-do' list. :-) If I decide to use this for one of the blankets I'm making, you BET I'll share it with you.
You are such a great teacher and I appreciate how you take the time to do this for me and so many of us. I love this yarn. I have to make a baby blanket for a special daughter whom I am her second Momma. This will be the perfect yarn. Thank you again!
Simple clear instructions.really well videoed as I could see exactly what you were doin throughout.thank uI so much Debi Dearest.i will b using more of your tutorials.⭐️⭐️⭐️👍
thank you for sharing that beautyful flower pattern that is a big help to me , i wrote down the pattern as you explained the pattern . have a wonderful day , you just mad my day.
Thank you love the stiching. Am new and just learning. But would love to see more of your videos. I cannot get the hang of reading the patterns .so loving the videos. Would like to see the trinity sick again .don't know how to in crease or decrease very well yet.
Hi - had to stop rolling to say that I love the intro -- the sheep flying about -- brilliant... okay, all done...I must say, Debi Dearest, this was my first time with this technique - your video is superb. (Others speed up after showing lst stitch, but you didn't, and because of it I was able to grasp it!). Thank you for a tutorial very well done!
+kraftyiam Thanks for watching. Would love to see.. you can share pictures with me on any of your favourite social media sites, just search dearest debi ^_^
Hi -- will do...question please...I don't understand what it means when instructions say "ch 2, skip 2 ch, work (dc, ch 3 and dc) in last ch ... I got lost after the skip 2 ch ? boohoo I need help
Hi, thank you ever so much for responding .... oh, why didn't they just say so... hehehe (I wouldn't have thought to put them all in the same chain) have a fabulous day!
I'm add-in this to a baby blanket I made. Just wish you would show how to go around the corners. I only did 3 rows before the flowers because I was worried about the corners. Just started the flowers, so far so good.
I can keep up with your tutorial because I have been crocheting since I was 8 years old. If a beginner comes to this tutorial they will probably just lay the hook down and never pick up again. Just my opinion you don't need to speed crochet if you want newbies to learn.
Very well done video! I was able to follow your instruction well. This is my first time to watch your videos. I subscribed. Your verbal and Islam instructions are wonderful. Can this be done around corners? Thanks!!
Hello! Im inlove with this!!! I want to make it as a lace edge to my short skirt… how many yarns i need for a 2.5 yrs long and 7inch thick maybe 12 rows? Thank you
I like that you go through the stitches 'til the end of the row to make sure we've got the trick of it, but as the video went on it seemed like you started to speed up a bit, and your hands started to get in the way. I had to pause and rewind a lot to figure out what I was supposed to do and where my stitches went. Maybe exaggerate your movements a bit more for the first couple stitches and the last stitch for each row, so it's easier to follow. That being said, the instructions were still very good and I'm quite happy I came across this video!
Debi Dearest I used the pattern for an edging on a shawl. Only did one v-stitch row since I trying to finish it before a certain date. I'll probably make another shawl like this in the future and try adding more v-stitches next time to see how it looks. i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd155/jinxgirl5/Various%20art/IMG_0217.jpg
How would you do this edging if your work is finished and you are adding this, it would be added to a row of double crochets(afghan)..by the way I love this edging ty
All the directions to add to your own blanket are included in the notes below the video. Here’s a link on how to work the corners dearestdebi.com/crochet-flower-edging-corners
i just finished a vstitch and tulip stitch blanket and put a dc border around the entire blanket. could i still do this despite not having the spacing u have?
Debi Dearest ok so I need to.count across see how many stotches i have...cant remember its been so long since Instarted this afghan lol. i was thinking i ciuld do 2 flowers then skip instead of having it all the way acrossed im.going to create a sample of my blanket and see how it works. this may be too.much for a newbie lol.we shall see. i have watched your.video on how toncreate the flower 4x amd not sure i understand it because i have a solid dc border below where the flowers will go, not the border you have so my *posts to cross arent exactly as clear
Debi Dearest if inam not mistaken your ch2 spaces are 4 stitches apart where the flowers are going so i would just need to count my stitches that way as opposed to look at space
I love this flower edging but I have a question. Have you made flower edging on any other pattern or does this only work with the pattern you just gave? Thank you for the time you took to show us this beautiful edging.
The demo and stitches are great too! Have you tried the edging with (US) double trebles? (adjusting chains and spaces where appropriate obviously). Heh, now I've thought of it I'll have to give it a try this afternoon. :D
Do you then attach this to your blanket? I have a blanket that i made and I would like this edging but I am not sure how to do corners, how would this go around a corner. Thank you for your help. PS I am new to crocheting and am teaching myself with videos so please be very explicit.
Janet Serier for sure! Work up the foundation row, join it with a sl st to beg st, then I would think after you finish the last flower do the same join with sl st, probably to the beg dc of the foundation row.
Marny5580 I believe this one has the free blue download button on my blog post which is linked in the notes below the video. If you’re on Mobile click the little arrow under the right side of the video to see my notes.
I like the video but as someone that is newer to crochet, it seems like you just go too fast to really see how to do this. I wish you would go a bit slower and hold your hands at a better angle for viewing the needle and the stitches.
Put your mouse on the bottom part of the videio and an icon will appear. It looks like a gear or a flower - click on that - and you can change the speed of the video.
Trying to copy your instructions exactly I found this impossible. While you drag out the beginning chaining and single crochet, most have experience, you went through the flower parts too swiftly. We are working on bigger projects. While beautiful, still tricky. You could have slowed down and deliberately show us exactly where and how to place the hook showing us the way to place the hook like the better tutorials. " "Now turn your work"!!!! Please!! The yarn gets tangled!
It’s a learning process. This was one of my first videos. I’ve come a long way since. The instructions are written out and available on my blog, the link is listed in the notes below the video.
I love how fast this tutorial was. I just wanted the edging pattern to add to a blanket I have made. this is perfect because of the flowers I have in the blanket.

I have done this as a flower, but this edging idea is GREAT ! Easy, well spoken tutorial. Thanks for sharing.

It would be great if you could show turning the corner for a complete 4-sided border.
You work 2 in the corner. There’s a tutorial on my blog dearestdebi.com/crochet-flower-edging-corners

kraftyiam how do I go around the corners?
I would like to do an entire baby blanket with that stitch. Very nice
I'm add-in this to a baby blanket I made. Just wish you would show how to go around the corners. I only did 3 rows before the flowers because I was worried about the corners. Just started the flowers, so far so good.

Meme Smith yes. Just work 2 or 3 flowers in your corners. My blog has an image tutorial search for 'flower edging' dearestdebi.com

but how do you do the corner????
Cok güzel,elinize sağlık ♥️🌟♥️
Wow great edging. Does it make any differences when turning with the flower which direction you turn the work?
I worked 2 flowers in the corners, there's a photo tutorial for corners on my blog here.. dearestdebi.com/crochet-flower-edging-corners

Beautiful edging. Thank you!
Can i add this edging to scarfs that i do?
i just finished a vstitch and tulip stitch blanket and put a dc border around the entire blanket. could i still do this despite not having the spacing u have?
I believe it needs to be worked in multiples of 3, could maybe try it to see?
Debi Dearest ok so I need to.count across see how many stotches i have...cant remember its been so long since Instarted this afghan lol. i was thinking i ciuld do 2 flowers then skip instead of having it all the way acrossed im.going to create a sample of my blanket and see how it works. this may be too.much for a newbie lol.we shall see. i have watched your.video on how toncreate the flower 4x amd not sure i understand it because i have a solid dc border below where the flowers will go, not the border you have so my *posts to cross arent exactly as clear

I'm doing this at the edge of #365GrannySquares. The first 70 squares. Wow!
I love this flower edging but I have a question. Have you made flower edging on any other pattern or does this only work with the pattern you just gave? Thank you for the time you took to show us this beautiful edging.
