-How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?
This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.

-How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?
Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.

You are a good teacher: clear and concise, you work at a good pace for everyone; and there’s no unnecessary waffling. Very well done!
Thank you so much :)
Ive struggled watching most crochet videos, but yours are so easy to follow that I'm starting to finally enjoy crochetting!! Thank you so much for these videos ❤
You are very welcome :)
Love it! I also want to say THANK YOU FOR SLOWING DOWN TO TEACH PEOPLE LIKE ME! You demonstrate in such a way anyone can learn.
Very clear demonstration. Sheila
I remember doing them when I was a child and I added a safety pin to the back and sold them in aid of the war effort
Thats very interesting and cool!
I find following a UA-cam video to be very frustrating, most of the people are hard to understand due to bad audio or accents. However your voice and accent is very soothing and you are so easy to understand. The fact that you take your time and remember to include american stitches as well as U.K. duchess is great. I have subscribed to you and will definitely be doing your projects. Thank you so much!
Marie Druck Thanks so much! I'm really glad you like them! :) Thanks for watching x
I really enjoy your tutorials. You take your time and do a great job explaining. Thank you...
You are just fabulous, please dont ever change, you are teaching valuable skills in life and making a lot of people very happy.

I could see a baby blanket made completely of these. So sweet and pretty. You directions are so easy to understand. You've got gotten a new subscriber.
Thank you so much for all your help! I have literally come to your page to learn everything I have learned to make from UA-cam. You are absolutely amazing and talented. You need to start your own crochet school ❤
You are very welcome :)
I love the way you teach being visually impaired i need the teaching to be slow and close up so that I can follow your instructions i don't want my visual impairment stop me from crocheting thank you Sarah Jayne because without your tutorials i would of not learn to crochet. I started to subscribe to the crochet society boxes which I love.
You are very welcome and I am so glad that they have been of help to you and so pleased that you love the subscription boxes :)
I am a COMPLETE beginner at crochet yet I found this video to be very easy to follow so... Thanks Bella!!!
Thank you! The flowers are beautiful! I’ve recently learned about the temperature blanket (years late to the party, as usual). I want to do one for 2022, but I didn’t know what pattern to use. Well, I know now! I’m going to use your puff flowers! I’ll use the daily low for the centers and the daily high for the petals.
You are very welcome and what a great idea :)

Bella Coco hi I'm new to your channel approximately how many of those flowers should I make to make a blanket for a newborn and approximately how much packages of yarn should I buy as well?
I really like how neat and tidy the joins are on the back of the flower. I love the clear video, and your clear instructions are doing this tutorial. This tutorial is excellent.
i love listening to you teaching. Your voice is just as soothing as the crochets are besutiful. Thank you!
Such a pretty flower. Your tutorial is very nice and easy to follow for beginners like me. Thank you so much.
radhika shankar My pleasure x
I love the puff flowers I have started doing my own blanket would love to see how would you finish it off so the edges are sq. I think the way you are teaching people how to crochet is great and you make it very easy to follow.

I don't think that the edges can really be square. But the flowers are small, so it's not that important in my opinion. You can even it out with a border if you insist.

Thank You Bella Coco! I've been hunting for the better part of a year, for the right flower to use, on a blanket I'm making for my best friend. I've had 2 strokes, & had to relearn how to crochet both times. I had no one to teach me, so turned to tutorials on social media. I've made some mistakes, that I made 6 hours of rows, since I made the mistake! I will NOT rip out 6 hours of crochet! So, thought I'd cover them with daisies! Well! I am left handed, & every pattern for daisies, makes a 7" flower. I wanted a daisy that was the same size as a real daisy! You'd think I was hunting for buried treasure! I used to be able to make up my own designs, & it saddens me that I can no longer do that part. I have to depend on free tutorials! I finally Googled, small whimsical patterns of tiny flowers. I found others that I'd like to try, but not at 1:24 in the morning! Anyway, again, thank You for your generosity of patterns, & very distinctive instructions. It's appreciated! Some of these women, & men, think we are all speed crochet Queens, & crochet like speed skaters do! I don't. Not when I'm learning something new...
You are very welcome, I'm so glad that they have been of help to you. Crochet is not a race, we all crochet at different speeds and I am so happy to hear that you have continued to crochet even though you have had to learn again twice. Wishing you all the very best for the future :)
This is an amazing tutorial, my flowers turned out very nice
Thank you :)
I am loving all of your crochet tutorials. You make it very simple and easy to follow along. Thank you so much!

congrats for what your teaching through UA-cam.
thank you xx
your teaching is incredible, slow and with big shot from camera... perfect!!! you won another fan from Spain!! thaks x
Wow! I am a beginner and I am loving it! You make it seem so simple and that's inspiring! My first puff flower was very small and shapeless as the stitches were very tight. But two flowers down and I think I am getting the hang of it. Can't wait to learn more!!
I have watched at least 15 videos on how to make these puff flowers. This BY FAR is the BEST one that I have seen! Thank you so much for the way you show exactly what to do. You have a nice way of explaining each step and its easy to follow. You found a new subscriber in me :) Thanks again!
Maria B Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I'm glad you found it helpful x
Agreed. I've watched 5 videos and this one simplified it way better ;)

I always put puff flowers on my items, so just do it....
Fun I tried two and they came out so cute. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Good tutorial! For American viewers, remember, she is using UK crochet stitches. What she calls a double crochet is actually our single crochet. A treble crochet is actually our double crochet. It's just good to keep this in mind or you're going to get very different results. If you want a conversion chart of the stitches you can find them on the internet.
Im English but I learnt with us terminology so I have to remember this too!! lol
very pretty and interesting I am sure I can make them easily
Love your crochet videos. You have a very nice voice, makes it easy to follow the steps.
Wish you made more left handed videos, btw amazing that you crochet so nice with both hands.
How about making a video of a left handed bear or a owl, that would be super awsome :)
If you're still around.. There is an add on for your browser.. Something like UA-cam enhanced and with it you can flip the video horizontally and basically turn the tutorial into left handed
@@geaninastoica9834 how do you do that?!
@@sarahmurray1575 it's a browser extension on Chrome and Firefox. It's called UA-cam enchancer or something similar. Once installed, you'll find the option, they have good instructions and plenty of costuming
(I used my father phone) I am 12years old and your crocheting is very understanding for me thank you 😊👍
That would make a really cute rug!
Just what I was thinking, it would be so cozy in front of the bed ☺
Hehe. I love your channel.
I have gotten better and better in crochet. P.S. i am 9 years old
I am 45 years old, and have been knitting since I was 12
Good for you! Keep it up, and you'll be an expert before you know it!
2 years later and I'm guessing you're 11 now, I hope you didnt give up :) I started at your age years ago and its honestly one of the things I'm so glad I started doing :) really a nice calming hobby to do and you can make really pretty stuff
Same
How is your crocheting now if you’re still on here??
love it Thanks
Thank you, Bella, for a lovely tutorial! Not too fast, not too slow, perfect for beginners and begin-againers. Your directions are clear and easy to follow. I can see exactly where to insert my hook and how to count, and very helpfully, how to finish off. I'm now subscribed and excited to start crocheting again!
I loved ur tutorial. You have made it easy to follow along, which makes it easy to copy and do it yourself. I am a visual learner. I can follow a pattern, but I learn better with much less frustration by watching and follow along!!! Thank you!
Jackie Hoffler I'm so glad it helped you x
Thank you... I'm a visual learner so seeing is doing. You make the video easy and fun to watch!
Hey I am a new subscriber too thank you very much
Josephine Walter Hi! :) x
I think I picked the wrong yarn because it just looks horrible for me. I need something thicker (that's what she said).
😂😂
if it was regarding petals to be thicker, as I needed this to be thicker so I doubled up on my dc sts in my petals.
THATS WHAT SHE SAID
You could try a smaller hook too.
What yarn did you used and would dk be okay?
I recently came across your tutorials and absolutely love them! Thank you!
Many thanks! This is fabulous! Absolutely love this cute little flower! I have made few alongside you and they have turned out super!!! I am going to make a blanket for my daughter out of all yellow flowers, as her favourite colour is yellow and then I will put a white blanket backing so it will be extra cosy. Warm hugs 😊
Excellent. I'm hooked. If you pardon the pun. X
I am slowly working my way through your tutorials and have by far found them the easiest to understand!!! But with this one I keep getting 5 petals not 6 why is this? HELP! lol I have 22 5 petal flowers lol :) xx
RochelleChanel That's strange! Do they look good with 5 petals? If they do, I'd just continue the way your doing it :) x
heyy chick dont worry i did the same and then i realized that when it came to starting a new petal i was actually ending one petal in one chain stitch and then starting the long stitches in the next if that makes any sense ...
Thanks Canada Croucher i will keep trying lol. Bella Coco yes they still look good just made my baby a scarf using your shell tutorial, i love it! Thank you for your videos i hope i get really good :)
Canada Croucher has
I have the opposite problem, an extra space after the 6th petal
God bless you. You are such a wonderful teacher. I can't believe I can make this soo simple.

Thank you so much that really does mean a lot :)
Really lovely and so easy to follow can't wait to get started . Thank you .
OMG I never knew there was a difference in what the UK called stitches. That makes so much sense now bc I've seen other tutorials and I just thought they were calling the stitches the wrong thing. I feel so silly hahaha. Learn something new everyday. Thanks for the tute!!
Krystle Dyer lol, I didn't realise when I first started either. it can get very confusing x
You are my teacher. I have watched so many tutorials but found it quite difficult to learn. Thank you for slowing down.
