I got yellow fungus under my toenail once while in the navy once. I asked medical about treatment and they told me the drug for it would take an entire year to fix it, and I wouldn't be able to drink the year I was on it. I said "it takes a sober year of pills to treat a tiny area under my toenail?". He said back "yes its a very unsatisfying thing to treat."
I told him I'd take care of it myself and bought 3 kinds of antifungals, peroxide and rubbing alcohol. I then used my dremel to grind off my entire nail down to blood, wiped it in rubbing alcohol, then peroxide, then used all 3 antifungal creams on it that day and after my shower in the morning.
    Fixed the problem right up.

It took me 30 years to get fungus free toenails. I used Daktarin. I found that it is important to use it whenever there is a mild feeling/sensation on my toenails. When already in bed and I feel something, I get up and put the lotion on. My toenails grew thicker and not longer so progress was slow and re-infection occurred. I finally purchased a manicure kit and filed my nails thin, Now the toenails grew and I succeeded in the infection growing out.

After about a week, the portion of my nails affected became detached from the nail bed. I was able to scoop the dead fungus out and trim the toenail back so continued applications would totally cure it. I still have one nail that continues to grow thicker rather then longer but, I'm gonna beat it on that nail too.

Re garlic, to get rid of the smell, cut the clove in half and remove the bit in the middle ( usually green ) . Also a small piece of garlic, rubbed on a sty ( no, it doesn't sting) 3-4 tines a day will make it disappear!
My eye surgeon once refused to give me an eye injection because I had the beginning of a sty...he gave me a script for antibiotics. He then said to me " I suppose you want to use your magic garlic ?". No contest lol, I gave him back his script!
Crushed garlic can also be used as a topical paste on an infected bite....my daughter was bit on the finger by a white tailed spider, I used crushed garlic on it. My GP said I had probably saved her finger
    note:
"Necrotising arachnidism is a type of skin inflammation and ulceration that is caused by the bite of some spiders.
Occasionally, the reaction is so severe that the person loses large amounts of skin and needs extensive skin
    grafts".
Sorry for the long response, but I do love garlic!

I use 3-4 treatments of just spraying a solution of 500 ml water. 1 teaspoon sea salt for drawing out the fungus and 3-4 drops prepodyne [ iodine] . After about 3-5 treatments, my toe is totally healed except for the damage to the nail. After 3-7 days my toe is normal.

Have been trying for ages to get rid of fungus on one foot (not as bad as shown here) & got rid of it using an over the counter treatment which worked for all but the big toe.
subsequently tried a few different over-the counter medications, without success & went on to try mouthwash (not sure all of them have anti-fungal ingredients, so looked for one of each with CPC or LAE, but neither was successful).
Vick's also failed me; my latest is surgical spirit...but perhaps too early to say; been less than a fortnight so far...

Tea tree oil is great! I try not to wear socks unless I have to and file down the nails to make them look better & not hurt whenever I wear shoes.
Summer is the best time for my toenail fungus. Sun & open, airy shoes are the best way. No cure!
I went to a podiatrist years ago and he couldn't really help me.
    No drugs--side effects are evil.
Just something I'm going to have to live with. We can fly to the moon but toenail fungus is forever. No real cure!
Last point, I've had my toenails fall off and unfortunately they just grow back--along with the fungus. Shoes can carry the fungus, too.
The only problem I have. Otherwise healthy.

After many years with fungus problems I can say only what works is Vic with lavender plus ( you didn’t mansion) when take off socks turn them over before go on laundry. This step is more important than anything else . This two steps you making your foot definitely better but get off fungus completely is just dream. We have two family dermatologists and both of them said only what you can do is cover up by colour polish nail. I tried everything and this is only way except garlic because you need to stay alone on somewhere like islands.

I had really bad toenail fungus for years. Nothing would clear it up permanently.
Then I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. My doctor immediately put me on a cocktail of antibiotics, antifungal and other herbal remedies. Through the course of my treatment, my toenails cleared up completely and has not returned.
I was two types of antifungal medications and taking 100B prebiotic.
If you have severe toenail fungus and a whole host of other weird symptoms, you need a Lyme doctor to properly diagnose and treat you.

I’m not a doctor, but it sounds like psoriasis.
      I too have that problem.
I just maintain my nail health with regular grooming, after each bath, and I use a nail moisturizer.
I do have one nail bed that is vertically cracking , but all my finger nails have the vertical ridges.
So with the cracking nailI, I mend it with a nail glue and put a a fibre sheet piece on it, it’s used for thinning nails in salons.
It does keep it intact, I’m afraid it will get caught on something and rip. Ouch!
I think just following good feet and finger nail grooming will be a lifelong endeavor for me.
I realize psoriasis is related to gut health, so good eating habits, and grooming routines goes along way, including taking supplements like biotin, and b-complex does help.

Firstly, thanks for making the video. Developed toenail fungus 30+ years ago, took lamasil tablets for a few months and was almost free from fungus but got extreme knee joint pain and had to stop. Fungus grew back. Tried Amorolfine for many years, but it only holds fungus at bay and provides no real improvement. Have tried many of the treatments you have suggested, but still no success, however I have recently used Baking Powder/Bicarbonate of Soda and it appears to be having some positive effect. Nails look like they have been improving, so will continue and will also try some of what you suggest in addition. Any added thoughts - thanks again for your video suggestions.

For $10 I went to Walgreens and purchased some FUNGICURE, a broad-spectrum antifungal liquid. I put it on my toenails 3 times a week and after a few weeks I not only noticed the fungus under the nail was dead, by as my toenails grew out from the base the base of the nail remained 100% fungus free and was healthy and pink. Once the nail was fully grown out, the nail was gorgeous again! I also have treated topical fungus on my skin doing a similar treatment, though it works much faster of course on skin.

I've cured my toenail fungus with daily application of topical IODINE! I've also recommended using on any callouses. Along with getting the correct amount of Essential Fatty Acids in your diet, will cause your callouses to literally fall off within months ( plus extremely healthy for other reasons too)! Depending on how fast your nails grow, is the only answer for those who want to know how long it takes to kill and cure your fungus!

    • @chrisgraham2904
      @chrisgraham2904 Рік тому +5

My doctor has told me to not use IODINE continuously for more than 7 days because it is absorbed through the skin. The IODINE bottle's label says the same thing. I use IODINE for 7 days, then switch to bleach or two weeks and then back to IODINE and repeat the cycle. In the morning, when the application has dried, I top the nail and rub Vick's Vapo Rub and the surrounding toes and between them. The Vick's provides it's antiseptic properties and also provides a barrier to prevent moisture from reaching the fungus. I'm 4 months into the treatment and it seems to be working, but the nail is growing extremely slowly. I suspect another year before the nail fully grows out.
