The reason I ask is that footwear that's too tight can add pressure on the nails, which in turn causes them to thicken and deform. This makes them appear fungal when indeed they're not. Be sure the footwear doesn't cause any additional pressure on your nails and that you have about 1/8th inch of space between your longest toe and the end of the shoe.
@@FootGeekzTV all my nails are becoming thick, toenails deformed, finger nails have vertical ridges. I'm hypothyroid do you think it's connected to this?
Thanks for the video! I have battled athlete's foot for years, using the sprays, drying between my toes, etc.. My big toe nails now for the past several years have had this weird issue, like they won't grow! And they also have a bit of yellowing/thickening towards the cutting end of the nail.. Not sure if this is ingrown or mild fungal infection, but I do EVERYTHING right, switch shoes every other day, wear cotton socks, the only shoes I wear are breathable sneakers for work, and I even have them very loose, and when I get home, I immediately remove socks and shoes, dry brush my body (lymphatic system) before showering. Using all sorts of remedies, foot soak with epsom salt and tea tree oil. But my big toe nails just won't grow at all! It's been a few months at LEAST since before November. Not really any pain, just some mild tenderness if I use my dance slippers during exercise. Now just doing the dancercise barefoot. All the other toenails grow just fine, (slow, but that's normal) but these dang big toes will not grow, so I don't know how I'm supposed to grow them out??
@@karencampbell55 I’ve been using it 😀 Also I have been using pure eucalyptus oil and tea tree oil. Did you also have a problem with the toenail not growing for months? It looks like I’ve just had a pedicure, but the big toes haven’t been trimmed in months! They are like, frozen in time 😭.

LYSOL SPRAY KILLS NAIL FUNGUS. BETTER THAN ANY OTHER TREATMENT. So like a year ago I hit my toe so fucking hard it got bruised and bloody. Some how the nail got infected and started growing a thick nail on that one toe, but on both of my feet... which is weird I didn't hurt the other foot. Somehow they both shared the infection. Well, we have recently been spraying our running shoes with lysol... sometimes I don't wait for them to dry and eventually I was like occassionally spraying my feet with the lysol spray. Long story short. It's quickly killed whatever was on my toe nail. Now it's going back to the normal sized nail. It's way better than any store medicine. Hello, I just watched and subscribe. I think in between my toes has an infection, please what oil did you recommend in the video or is there any foot cream you can recommend.
We mentioned soaking feet in a bucket of water with a drop or two of tea tree oil. Some people also seem to have good results with Vics Vapo Rub. However, of primary importance would be to reduce moisture buildup on the foot. Change socks daily or twice daily if need be. Use shoes with more ventilation to prevent feet from sweating as much.

Soak you feet in Aged Urine while you sleep in a plastic grocery bag and wear long socks. Do this every other day or every day for a week or 2. Now it's gone forever, however all shoes need replacing from reintroducing the fungus again.
If I have athletes foot do I need to have a carpet cleaning service disinfect the carpets in my home once I have it cured? I understand the fungus can shed and live in the carpet and re-infect you. Is this something that is common or is it pretty rare for it to survive in a bedroom carpet?
Dry out feet with foot powder. Soak feet in salt water or tea tree oil foot bath. Dry out shoes well between competitions. Consider getting a second pair of shoes to allow footwear to dry between uses. Change socks daily.
I stupidly stopped washing my feet for about one month and now I'm getting bacteria/fungus/irritation in between my toes and toenails and even toenail beds. Some of my flesh the size of a grain of rice now protrudes out of one of my toenail beds and is laying on top of the cuticle. I was checking it out so I pulled the skin on top of my cuticle up and I pulled that swollen flesh out from under the skin and now it just sits on top of the cuticle. I was able to push this flesh back under the skin posterior to the cuticle when it was a little smaller but for some reason I decided it's best to keep it exposed. Now I'm reluctant to touch it before I know what to do. It is swollen and red and highly susceptible to infection. My instincts are telling me to do a soak in some (alternating cold/hot Epsom salt?) water and of course keep it clean. How should I treat it? Thank you.

The moisture trapped between the toes is most likely causing skin breakdown. You may want to consider toe socks, add a piece of loose wool between the toes or try foot powder to reduce moisture build-up. Be sure to dry very well between these toes when you get out of the shower to prevent any water from getting trapped there.

Do 3 minutes hot and 30 seconds cold, as they said, it helps with blood circulation to the site of the problem ensuring the flow of white blood cells that should help with healing
Good information thank you
You're welcome.
Tea tree oil
Anyway you know how to help my toes they hurt in certain places and the nails always hurt like they could possibly fall off I always get blisters but I can deals with that more I play basketball and I think some of my shoes might be too tight
If the shoes are too short your nails may be thickening due to pressure. Where do the blisters occur?
All you need is have a lemon some salt and a spray bottle with just plain water. They have a lemon put some salt on your toes and rub the lemon on your feet your toes and your nails if it burns with a spray bottle spray it and you will see it will dry up and literally go away
This is glorious, I have been researching "rubbing alcohol on skin fungus" for a while now, and I think this has helped.
Have you heard the talk about - Riddleagan Grabbing Benefit Remedy (do a search on google)? It is a smashing one off product for getting rid of foot fungus without the normal expense. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my m8 got excellent success with it.
thank you! 😭😭
Hi can I apply Tea Tree oil on my feet for fungus
We usually recommend dropping a few drops into a bucket of water and soak the feet. It can be too potent when directly applied to the skin.
Im 12 and got this last year could you tell me somethig i could do to help it
Is it still causing you problems?
Soak you feet in Aged Urine while you sleep in a plastic grocery bag and wear long socks. Do this every other day or every day for a week or 2. Now it's gone forever, however all shoes need replacing from reintroducing the fungus again.
Thanks for sharing.
If I have athletes foot do I need to have a carpet cleaning service disinfect the carpets in my home once I have it cured? I understand the fungus can shed and live in the carpet and re-infect you. Is this something that is common or is it pretty rare for it to survive in a bedroom carpet?
Athletes feet fungus in normal and not that big of a deal!
I’m 12 and I do competing cheerleading I des covered this last week and I’m wondering what to do?
Thank you.
You may want to talk to a podiatrist about this.
@@FootGeekzTV Okay thank you.
Dear Aura Abjure: For one month? I think you are trolling us. No one can be that remiss.
Are you a miss?
Unfortunately I got foot surgery a few years ago .. the surgery was needed but changed my foot forever .. so now my toes on that foot stay stuck together .. almost no separation between my 4th and 5th toe .. So I am CONSTANTLY dealing with Fungi.. stays moist between my toes so I always have thick white skin that peels off easily .. Which leads them to be soooo itchy and end up hurting .. do you think I should get toe spacers ? I gotta do something
Have you tried loose wool to separate the toes and reduce moisture buildup?
Nice 👍
Thanks ✌
Both of my feet are BAD I never got treated for it not did anything about it it all started with a lil nail on my right toe and I let it get worst to the point where I itch a lot and my feet are dry I’m trying to cure my feet now before anything worst happens I hate wearing socks all the time I miss wearing sandals all the time ☹️ this freaking sucks
Best of success. You may want to look into anti fungal creams.
Same im trying garlic hope that helps
I have atlete foot for past couple of years and not only that ...I have a very bad black marks on my toe tooo...idk where it comes from ..and guess what I only wear shoes and not my pretty sandals anymore ...please help me 🙏🏾
I don’t have athletes foot, but I did hit the space between my pinky toe on a broken doorknob and cut myself
Me too but now it has caused me so much pain and infection 😫
Dear Kiz Zero: This is always the problem of too many women wearing sandals or nonexistent shoes that don't protect the feet.
Accidents can happen especially on crowded transportation.
They can lose the sandals and cannot run fast from possible danger.
Not recommended for outside wearing because of people's pets, pests, mice, bugs, puddles, grime, etc.
What can you do about it after it's out of control?
Piss on em

Some people use Vics Vaporub. A recent study showed that it can be beneficial at treating fungal infections.
Doctor inam using warm water will that help
Queen
Do you mean using warm water with the foot bath?
My thing is I always get it in the exact same spot every time, I always get a cut/fissure under my pinky toe on my left foot.
Do you dry between and under your toes thoroughly after you shower? Moisture trapped in between toes can cause skin breakdown.
@@FootGeekzTV I did not know this, I appreciate that info. I had no idea something that simple causes it.
Much appreciated!!!

Tea tree oil, 2-3 drops in a foot bath or place in a 1 gallon container with drops, then wipe the effected area?
2 to 3 drops of tea tree oil in a gallon of water to soak the feet.
How about sea salt for foot bath is it good to kill foot fungus (athlete foot)?
I'm not aware of sea salt as a fungal remedy.

I have really bad foot fungus (athletes foot) and it’s started to crack my skin and give me cuts. What do I do to cure it ? Please I’m really desperate 🙏
I use coconut oil and worked pretty well for me
Be sure to change your shoes and socks daily. Wipe down inside of shoes with rubbing alcohol to reduce fungal spores. Dry well between the toes after showers to reduce moisture buildup. Vicks vaporup also has worked for fungal infections if antifungal creams aren't readily available.

how do I know when to stop using the cream? I don't want to stop mid way threw treatment and have it flare up again. Iv'e been using atheltes foot cream for 2 months now and my toes aren't itchy at all anymore but the affected site looks white and like it would flare up again.
Does it have directions on the product? We usually recommend to continue use for 2 to 3 months after the fungal infection has cleared up.
Deat sir and ma'am,,, my father has this problem since 15 years ,,, he also consulted a doctor,, but it didn't healed. My father is suffering a lot.
Please help us,,,
Are his feet wet for extended periods of time? What type of shoes does he wear? Does he change his footwear and socks regularly? What type of remedies have you tried?

Presently, my father is taking :
1) AZIKEN 800 ( AZITHROMYCIN TABLETS IP )
2) ITRACONAZOLE CAPSULES BP200 MG ( ZORITRAZ FORTE)
3) BECTOMETHASONE & CLOTRIMAZOLE LOTION (ZYDIP -C LOTION )

And yes ,, he does some home chores,, like cleaning bathrooms,, giving water to plants,, so yes, he is involved in something handling with water.
Soya bean also?
Have you tried it?
Itch it until it bleeds. Soak it in alcohol. Let dry and leave feet exposed until recovered. Change socks regularly. Repeat.
Sounds painful.
Does vaseline work to heal it? Because I had this for so long i wear socks now because of it but now i know i shouldn't wear socks and let it dry out. But does vaseline work??
We wouldn't recommend it as it traps moisture and encourages fungal growth. Use anti-fungal creams instead, such as Foot Logix peeling skin formula.
Use hair dryer after shower to dry feet n toes
For those with neuropathy (lack of feeling in the feet), be careful not to burn your feet.

Hypothyroidism. Feet issues are usually a metabolic problem. Applying liquids and creams are only treating the symptom not the root cause

Really deep down grassroots waxing (emphasizing) the truth.
Too many women wear these ugly black sneakers and nasty black or dark socks (while showing shins). This is gross to think about. They're donning these to hide dirt.
So a plant based diet causes more infection.
It shouldn't. A diet high in sugar will contribute though.
I think lemon is best natural solutions.
I get like blisters on the bottom of my arch and blisters small ones on my hands. If I don't pop them it's painful to walk ? Candy ,beer , bread make it worse.
