      @peteshobbies5383 yes that's it. I saw it in your one video. Its black and orange, fluid and fan control in the back thats available in 1.3mm and 1.8mm. I seen its a male thread out the top so i already ordered a 3M pps 2.0 adapter size S2C for it too

      @user-un5my5bw4j I've only got mine in 1.3, so I can't say about the 1.8. In 1.3, it's really good, so I expect the same for the 1.8.
      They did say when I ordered it , they were not built to the same standard as the PRD series, so I was surprised when it came through as its made pretty good considering it's price.
      Be interesting to hear what you think when you get a chance to use it 👍

      Hi Chuck, absolutely, the ANI F160 is one of my favourite guns, IMO. Its performance is far better than the Devilbiss FLG5 SGK600 gun at the same or similar price
      These Porphis guns are on a different level, better in all respects, but they are also more expensive, cheers buddy 👍

    Hi Pete, great video mate and the PRD715 did a great job on the clearcoat it looks very flat with hardly any peel. I'm looking forward to trying these guns out mate I've seen them both in action from you where they did a great job so if I have problems with them then it will be user error🤠😅
    I had a look at the air caps on both guns yesterday and as you said they do look the same so apart from the tip design they probably do spray the same. Have you tried the Sata 1.3CC setup you got for your X5500 Pete I would be interested to see what you think of it🤔
    I made a right pigs ear doing the WoW primer on my next tank this morning it now looks like a waterfall with runs on both sides of the tank🤦‍♂I really don't know what I was thinking as it's obvious I put to much paint on the side of the tank🤪plus it had a few fisheyes to finish it off, I'm not sure why I'm getting fisheyes lately as I haven't had them since I bought my GTI which I forgot to clean before I used it, maybe the 3 stage needs new filters🤔🤷‍♂
    Cheers Pete👍

      @peteshobbies5383  7 місяців тому

      Hi John, Yes, It gives excellent results. I've found you'll find out soon once you get your act together 😂😀😉😍👍.
      I haven't had a chance to use the 1.3 CC, but I will do it soon, I'll have a week of intensive use to get to grips with it, I think.
      Sounds like you were having an off day, mate, but we all have them. At least you can sand and start again 👍
      Presuming you haven't used any products that could contaminate the work it probably is coming through the line although a bad batch of paint or thinners can do it so worth keeping a look out for it cropping up when the same materials are used, thanks John 👍

    Hi Pete, I found out that the prd625 and prd715 are forged aluminum and the phs135 and phs155 are die-cast aluminum. The prd625 and prd715 also have stainless steel fluid passages. I would like to buy one or more of these but I don't see a place on their website to add to a cart, no secure checkout.

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  7 місяців тому

      Hi Rob, Yes, they are die cast anodised aluminium, the tips and needles are good quality stainless steel, so all fine for waterbourn paints if required.
      They are a manufacturer, so make them for other distributors with the distributors colours and or markings, so they are generally not available for sale, however, if you email the address I have put in the description they will more than likely give you a price for what you want.
      What happened with me was they sent me a PayPal invoice, which I paid, and then they sent the goods with a tracking number from FedEx or DHL. I can't remember which courier it was now, but it was one of those two.

      Hi buddy, it's depends on what you like and want really, PRD715 for a fast good finish , or PRD717 for a slower, lower pressure finely atomised finish.
      I love them both but they are quite different to use, I would stick with MP unless it's solely for basecoat in which case HVLP may be better, uses a lot of air though

    Pete what settings do you recommend for solvent base and high solids clear with this for somebody who generally uses slower guns. I mostly spray PPG DBC and DCU2002.

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  4 місяці тому +1

      Hi buddy, If you are finding the gun too fast, you need to back the fluid delivery off , so start at say 2 turns for base and say 2 1/2 out and see how you feel about it.
      I would keep the pressure the same, so on the Porphis PRD715 1.3, I use 1.8 bar, so 25psi and for clear 2.0 bar, so 29psi

    • @costask823
      @costask823 4 місяці тому +1

      Thanks Pete. Yeah, I sprayed some epoxy as a sealer on two fenders yesterday at full fan full fluid and 22 psi. I did get a small sag on one of the fenders. Easy to fix, but I turned the fluid in a couple of turns and the second one came out great. I will play with it a bit more. Really impressed with the atomization of the gun, it laid out the DPLF smoother than my LPH400. It seems really well made. I am wondering how long the front packing of the needle will last, but from what I saw in the manual you can change it. Anyway, thanks for the advice and for turning me on to this gun. I also ordered the 717. Really curious to see how well their V nozzle does.

      To be perfectly honest with you, I would buy the Porphis PRD715 over the Sagola, even if they were the same price as each other it would be a tough one as I really like the Sagola but it's around half the price so no contest.
      I was a little apprehensive at first as I don't know how long they would last but as time goes by that's getting further and further from my mind so I've bought some more because I think they are really good.

    How does this compare to the NVE that you tested a while back?

      Hi Buddy, It's better than the NVE in everything, especially the build quality, which is very good, especially considering the price of these

      Hey Pete I got the prd-627 in the other day and used it to spray a trunk it did a good job but it is a air hog my 80 gal was cycling, and it does use a little more than double the air the kiwami uses

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  8 місяців тому

      @hdlowdyna4126 Hi Mate, yeah, that 627 uses 15.5cfm so proper HVLP, the 625 that I have is 10.5 cfm so much less, the 627 is up there with the other genuine HVLP guns like the Sata X5500 HVLP and the Iwata LS400 and Tekna Gti Pro Lite HV30, all around 16.5cfm.
      Properly makes the 627 a better base gun than clear gun, that normally the way with HVLP, it also saves materials.
      What do you think of the build quality?

      @@peteshobbies5383 it's nice had no complaints and the adapter for the harbor freight black widow gun fits perfectly for the pps cups 1.0 the sales lady is very nice and informative and I have ordered the prd715 as well now I think they will be great guns I don't see a reason as to why they won't last a good long time
