I was wondering why he was walking the whole vid. Then I remembered he said he’s been moving for 15 years
🤣
This is hilarious af XD
Why are you so funny
😂😂 this is a good one
Underrated comment 🤣
HAHA me packing last minute and taking a break to watch a video telling me not to pack late.
Me too! I'm an expert procrastinator.

Make a budget list and moving list. Never rush a move, doesn't work out!
Hire moving experts. For peace and comfort.
Send out notices.
Declutter your stuff. Get rid of things you don't use, get less stressed.
Pack little by little every day. Never leave packing at the last minute.
Pack a moving essentials tote. So it's accessible during the days of your move in.
Give each room a different color label.
Don't overpack a box. Too heavy and unlift-able.
Use the right size boxes. Put heavy stuff in smaller boxes.
Don't leave empty spots in boxes. Shake-proof it, pad it.
Bundle all the breakables. Pad these too.
Repurpose household items for packaging. Put tiny things inside pots for example. (Or pack your clothes with your plates.)
Save space when packing clothes. Fold it or vacuum it.
Label and take photos of furniture parts and accessories. Make your things easy to assemble and disassemble.
Don't pack hazardous materials with other household materials. Can cause damage.
Stock up on packing material for kitchen appliances. (Pad everything so they don't get ruined.)
Use plastic wraps to avoid leaks. Bottles and the like.
Pack jewelry in small boxes. They get lost in big boxes.
Choose a different color for each room.
No thin boxes. Also, tape your boxes. Then mark the color of the SIDE of the box. Tape a list at the side of the box.
You can use garbage bags. You can vacuum it too. (Especially for compressing pillows and comforters!)
Good video!!!
Thank u 🙏🏼
Piece and comfort
Thank you very much!!!
It said piece and comfort
This lady is a hero 🦸🏻♀️
I always use my towels, sheets and blankets to help pack breakables. I also pack up each bedding set in its own box pillows and all that way when you get where you are going it is easier to open 1 box and make the bed.
If something were to break, that's broken slithers of glass in your clothes, sheets, towels, etc
@@RaininMortars nothing will break with cloth as a packing material…..unless you throw it off a balcony. 😂
Fab tips. One that we used personally and want to share is having a picnic bag in our car so we had plates, forks etc for the takeaway and breakfast the next morn. 😊
Brilliant!!!
I have credit cards with empty balances and hired professional movers who do an excellent job. I'm packing a bit each day and have an essential tote planned. I do tend to overpack weight -- I'm a little old lady and everybody is stronger than I am. My boxes are well-packed. My apartment is small enough that everything goes into the living room unless it's a bed. The chihuahua and the jewelry travel together. Thank you for assuring me I'm on the right track.
Put the jewelry on the chihuahua! ❤
I have a good packing tip. Sometimes I label the box with its locationl of where I kept it at my old house ie..." Under sink mom's bathroom", so at your new place you'll be needing a cream that you know you kept under the sink in your old bathroom, you'll know which box to go to. Yeah.
I never wouldn’t thought of putting the spices in pots
Also pro tip! If you’re not moving far and you regularly hang your clothes, get a big garbage bag and put like 15 hangers together, and poke a hole in the top of the bag, pull the bag down and tie it under the clothes. I use this to live dresses and coats that are always hanging. After moving I hang them up and tear the bag off, all done
How about if you don't make hole and use the already existing hole opening of the garage bag. Open the ties as wide as they open and come from under the bundle of hanging clothes and use the tie strings to secure hangers tightly together so clothes won't slide off hanger and fall down into the bag.
@@annavargas3367THANK YOU! I’m glad someone said it. Wasting perfectly good trash bags poking holes in them when they already have a giant hole right where you need it.
DECLUTTER is so important. Throw out junk and trash. Don't pay movers to haul it to new home. If you start early enough, make sure everything you pack is clean. If you can begin packing and sorting one month in advance, just an hour or so each day keeps you stress free.
I picked up some garment bags real cheap at the thrift store. Coats and jackets in one; dresses in one; shirts & other in one. Fold filled garment bag in half and stack them up. If you are moving in the summer, for example you don't need to open the coats & jackets after the move, etc. Pricey jewelry needs to be with you in your car. Pets? Put everything pet related in a couple plastic totes with lids. They have these at the thrift store for $3! Make sure you fill purses with like items, then put them in boxes.
Okay, the vacuum idea is f'n genius.
I'm so happy that you mentioned decluttering! You save money by not paying someone to move what you no longer need or use. And if any of it is sellable, you can actually make money to put towards the move!
That's what I'm trying to do right now
I love moving. The stress takes my mind off of other stresses in life! And also its a great chance to filter through the old things to make room for the new! Thank you for the tips!
You are unique! I absolutely hate moving-it's one of the most stressful events in life.
You’re definitely a unicorn!
You're so lucky. It's hard af. And I'm pretty organized!! :(
Wow. Understandable. Shes right.. Ngl it's the only time/chance I get to reorganize stuff I rarely touch. Then I'm like- "FUUUCCKK! I SHOULD GET BACK INTO THAT! why is it wasting space? Use it! Damn my crazy creative mind!"
we added your video to our site 3/24/2023 this is great tips for our customers coming out of FL. Thank you sir!
What a great hack using your vacuum cleaner and the trash bags for your clothing and pillows thank you so much
This. This is the video we all need. And I laughed at the DONT pack last minute. I have 2 days to get my bootie moved. 14 years of life moving in two days? It’s fine. I’ll be fine. This is fine. I swear it’s fiiiiiine. 😐
How was it? I'm watching this video while moving. Been here 16 years. Wish had $ just for moving company to pack everything.
It’s fiiiinnne 😂😂😂
@@BrandiXoIt has been over a year. My move was a 💩 show. I should have packed sooner. It took ALL day. The movers were scheduled for just a few hours. They got paid well so 🤷♀️
But seriously. Pack and pack early everyone! And have your advil ready for afterwards!!!
Oh! Why haven't I seen your advice before!?! I moved 7 times, always used plastic bags! and i didn't use a vacuum!!! It's so pity for me!!! But, thanks! i'll know now!!! Also, I really liked the tip about marking each room with its own color!
Planning on moving hopefully sometime this year and this is the first time I’ll actually be helping with the move because the last time we moved I was 11, so I’m stocking up on tips to pass the time and make things easier.
garbage bag is a great tip but do keep an additional transparent plastic around clothes before putting them in garbage bags. Some recycled bag leak color!
He's on point about packing. Respect! Great tips. Hope he does a video on proper moving techniques, lifting, measuring, removing doors, padding/wrapping, loading, ride securing, and a good beer after.
Wow!!!! The color coordinating is such a great idea, I have a few months to move into my new house and this video made me feel more confident that it doesn’t have to be a disaster 🤣❤️
Thanks for the really useful tips! I don't move places all that much, so your professional experiences really count so much!
Thanks for the info. Love the color code by room. I number each box as you suggested and create a packing list for each on my phone.
We're currently at a 6 week time frame to move and a weekend to clean for showings.. These tips definitely helped!
We just signed a new lease today and I've already made 2 garbage bags filled with Goodwill Donation. Donating and decluttering does wonders for your brain and mental health. Especially when you over shop and spend on things you dont need.
💯
As someone packing for his first move solo, this is crazy helpful. Thank you.
5:02. Pull out your dresser drawers. Use the clothes in them to wrap delicate items. Then use saran wrap to pack the items back i. The drawers. This will leave gaps in the dresser but also save you boxes and packing materials.
Military moving season👍🏽 thanks for the tips
These are amazing tips. I've definitely broken some of these rules. My movers tomorrow are gonna hate me. 😩
This is spot on. Love this and will recommend some of these to my clients. Great video.
Super helpful. I really enjoyed this!
Thanks guys!! 💪🏽
Our pleasure!
If Adam Sandler and Vin Diesel had a baby lol JK, great video tho
Great tip about not overfilling your boxes - we helped a friend move and she about killed us trying to lift her monster boxes!
Never rush a move!! 🏆
...or overpack a box..🙄 😹😹🙌
Truer words have never been spoken!!
My MOJO is If can't carry myself, mo one should.

Very cool! Very useful information. Will help everyone when moving!
Thank you for the relevant tips 😃 I’m definitely going to be utilizing much of these.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for these tips and tricks
Moving soon, all clothing and bedding not needed utilized to wrap breakables. Labeling every box gen. Content & location info. Valuables and immediate needs with me when actual transport time arrives.
Never overload boxes, containers, working smart & hopefully not hard 😊
The problem with moving is that none of your friends help you move, even after you helped them move.
Renting a Ryder Truck/van and getting help from temporary agency is the way I should have done when moving to my first new house.
Had to make multiple trips, lucky it wasn't that far of a journey.
Great hacks.
Thanks for sharing these amazing tips. It really works for me. Keep it up.
Thanks for the video! I'm moving in two weeks and I still have a ton of packing to do. A lot of stuff I can't pack up until the day before we move because I'm still using it. I've also got a lot of stuff that is awkwardly sized and is difficult to pack - for example: small lamps, lampshades, wreathes, rugs, large vases, etc. I need to find bigger boxes for these things. Luckily, I've hired movers but I'm worried that I packed stuff wrong and they aren't going to be very happy with me. Anyways, thanks again for the tips. I'll definitely be putting some of them to good use.
Fantastic packing tips for the big move! Thanks a million!
Best, most informative video ever.
These are great tips. Thanks so much 👍❣️ this is what I'm doing now and it's taking SO long 😩
Good tips! Really, the best thing people can do is declutter before moving.
Thank you! Very informative!
This was so helpful, thank you so much 💗💖
I am moving in 2 weeks. BUT I don't have to move everything. Just the essentials. I have moved at least 50 or 60 times. And I use towels, blankets, pillows, anything that can pad things and make my boxes easy to carry. Because a lot of times I never have anyone to help. Some people just don't understand that if you put 50 lbs in that box, nobody NOBODY wants to pick it up from the ground!!. Making my list tonight.. gotta decide and stick with it~~
Great information I learned a lot❤
I had a brilliant idea to borrow some advice since I'm moving, but from one computer to another one.
Hmm yeah absolutely was helpful thanks!
One of the best vids I’ve seen about moving. Creative
The pug in the thumbnail made me smile
vacuum was very cool
At 2:22, “NEVER LEAVE PAKING FOR THE LAST MINUTE” should read “NEVER LEAVE PACKING TO THE LAST MINUTE”
I have used the bags you can vacuum the air out… never thought about just using a trash bag!!
This was an excellent video learned a lot considering most videos all have the same content. Thank you
Some constructive criticism...
I know this video is old and your new ones might not use it as much but the whole "moving tips" page/graphic was overused. Once is perfect; it was used at least 9 times in this video.
That being said, I got some tips from this video I haven't seen in others and I've watch a lot so thanks!
Thanks for the useful information 🙂
Your tips are helping me taking a big decision I’m blown & thrown thinking off, thx brother

Wow I've always considered myself pretty much an expert on the topic I've moved a lot . Nope miss expert I learned something thank you for the brilliant ideas!
Awesome man!
If you have open household containers of say, laundry detergent or cleansing products, use masking tape in an X form on the cap and or the top of the item. That keeps the lid from coming undone, and keeps the product in the bottle and not all over the box. I also use towels for my collectible knickknacks, which are very breakable. I’ve lost at least one item in every move and I have moved probably close to 10 times in the last 20 years. I always start packing the kitchen and the bathroom items that I have for just in case. And then they stay close to that room so I can access it if they need arises. I write in sharpies on the top and the side of each box for the room. They are going to go into. That way the packer of the truck knows to put all the kitchen stuff together the bathroom stuff together the bedroom stuff together. Biggest tip… Pack the bed last. If the bed is the first thing to come out of the truck at the new location. It goes right to the bedroom and gets put up immediately, that way if everything else stays in boxes for the rest of the day into tomorrow, you still have a place to sleep. I have a lot of crafting items with large boxes of yarn, which is not heavy but it’s cumbersome. The heavy part is the pattern books and there are 2 shelving units full of them. They go in smaller boxes because they’re easier to carry that way.
Great tips!!!
Thank you 👍Lots of help👌🏼👍
My moving questions don’t usually *arouse* me but they do *arise* to me
Great tips…thank you!
Guy actually knows what he is talking about.
Always always get professional move I will never move myself again. Ever....
Excellent video tips! I'm making a cross state move. I'm working on the decluttering, toss donate part. I want to take as less as possible to my new state of residence.
Three title card screens before you even get to tip 7.
This runtime was so padded I could safely move an antique lamp with it.
My tip for glass decorations and cups and such is to wrap them with clothes, blankets, towels, etc. The clothes and such need to be packed anyways and the glass needs to be wrapped anyways. Might as well save on wrapping materials and space!
Thank you
Do you mean 'more cost effective'? at 8:44. Thanks for the tips!
Thanks. Really good tips.
Thanks so much!
I really enjoyed your video, lots of good tips, now I just need to find a house ....
Glad it was helpful!
When u take things apart that have screws/hardware, put them in a baggy and tape them to the object they go to, for example bed frames etc
