Thanks for showing this vid metro - my heart sank a bit lol. I have learned a lot since.
Few points, your completely correct that I basically shouldnt have led the dps/healer through the welps like that, Its how i had seen it done in some vids I watched. Although I still have been doing that in higher keys, I dont know why I didnnt just pull the trees back lol... makes a lot more sense.
The rogue bombing in with sprint still makes me chuckle, I am a monk, fairly fast, but was trying to put some dam out to get aggro down the stairs, then he comes past like Usain Bolt and just explodes :D
The skip I had only done in heroics but really I had no idea on routing in this clip. So I got a bit worried, I knew when I looked down that wasnt correct way.
The end bit with the crystal, the one where you say they switch finally, i dunno if they do coz i saw my touch of death light up, which i instinctively press on the skull crystal meaning i basically 1 shot it. (I think).
I actually didnt feel responsible for the first wipe, but your video has made me think more about how I should be more wary as sometimes people just dont know what to pull/avoid, and just because I know, they might not. I felt bad for the healer coz I hate seeing keys disband at the beginning and felt them leaving was because at that point deaths had spiralled and in low keys you get no guarantee that it wont continue, very rarely do i like to drop keys if ever... So I probably was responsible for the wipe even if indirectly by leading people who may not know through a dangeous area. Funny thing is I kept doing it and nobody ever pulled them again.... But i have learned something :D
Will definitely have more footage in next xpac once I am back off holidays.

But ya I would just say, especially in low keys, think about what you can do to help guide the group more and more. It sucks, and it won't be needed much at higher keys, but it's clear some one like that druid isn't really a heads up player, so just not putting him in situations where he can mess up is the best route to success.

    • @madDjakni
      @madDjakni 25 днів тому

yeah I wouldn't put the first wipe solely on your shoulders, on the one hand yes you could and probably should have pulled the lashers back (most dps prefer this as it lets them keep uptime without worrying about the patrol whelp ruining their plans, on the other what I personally like to do is to wait for the whelp to pass then pull the lashers and jump down snapping them onto the trees and goop downstairs (granted I only pull one tree with the lashers due to the interrupt requirements and even tho I'm vdh I don't trust my group to not use their shit into mine).
How ever I'd place the blame for the second wipe where you just walked in and re-pulled the whole corridor entirely on you :P You should have paid at least enough attention to notice the mobs were active and that you couldn't just pull it again like you're used to. That being said it's a +4 no big deal if healer had stayed I'm sure you could have made it so long as you pace yourself past that corridor.

For me Ruby Life Pools was the most memorable dungeon ever. It definitely made me a better player as a healer. What a brutal way to learn a new class it was :D Painful but a memorable experience.
In terms of just nice dungeons I enjoyed... my favourite would either be Algeth'ar (just fun place with big pulls) and Nokhud/Brakenhide (big pulls as well + thematically is exactly the warcraft I loved since childhood days)
And by the way I was never a fan of Azure Vault. Not sure if it's bad tanks (was doing it on 23-24 lvl so not sure there are players unfamiliar with their own role's mechanics tho) or pure random but the last boss was sometimes the most stressful shit and sometimes not a problem at all. 2nd boss was also stressful and Im a slightest bit claustrophobic, so closed dungeon will always be a bit worse than open space 'dungeons' for me.
But Dawn of the Infinite was by far the worst experience ever for me. Maybe because I was stubborn and tried playing Pres Evoker instead of abusing aug, but I straight up missed season 4 just to recover after season 3. The bosses were inadequatelly overloaded with stressing mechanics IMHO. Never in my entire life have I been as tilted (and I played League before WoW so trust me I KNOW what real tilt is) as after another Anomaly-wipe where I needed to quickly outheal explosions, somehow save the guy with second debuff, choose right position if im the one with that debuff but also choose the right position to heal everyone with my breath but also dodge little spheres but also somehow find a window to cast my giga slow empowered abilities that can't be casted on the move... And almost all of the bosses there were similarly difficult and stressful.
Just recalling this shit is enough to drive me mad I HATED this dungeon so much.
Going to level monk in case Blizz continue the same design philosophy 'the more damaging mechanics the better' + 'massive damage to the group with lots of things you need to dodge simultaneously' to have a more mobile healer or straight up switch role to tanking.
Overall I'd say I liked shadowlands dungeons a bit more (I was only unhappy with Sanguine Depths and De Other Side there. Others were either amazing or ok, while in Dragonflight almost every season had like 3-4 dungeons that were actively frustrating me). Maybe just a healer problem (I see many healers are unhappy with the state of healing in DF as well) and not dungeons' fault tho. But Dragonflight did so many cool things outside of dungeons that it was an amazing expansion anyway. Looking forward to see what TWW brings.

@heythereguysitsMetro the damage is just tuned very poorly for them and in lower keys you need to have packs live long enough for you to apply enough dots and go through the rotation a bit and a lot of the spenders have poor tuning. For example our starfall, unless I'm mistaken, is actually tuned so poorly our aoe damage is better by just spamming starfire. I don't know why the druid in the video did such low damage but it is just currently a really finniky and poorly tuned class that can easily just be bottom dps if something goes wrong

I can't blame the healer too much for leaving, mostly because its his own key and very early in it so very little time wasted really and he just needs to push an extra key for the week if he wants a better vault. He also can't be sure if the group can even kill the pack properly with a boomkin doing less than tank damage (poor guy +4 is too low for a boomie or a fire mage to do anything really). That being said, if they had just pulled it one pack at a time after the first wipe (and assuming nobody makes a mistake and pull something they shouldn't) they probably would have been fine but it's impossible to tell for sure.
