The stranger. He was such a legendary encounter because back in verse 1 we were gobbling any and all content and secrets, the stranger sparked this huge discussion and many people tried to find out the exact stats to get tacet from him.
Also the reasons they started conquest instead of world events is because i shit you not.
They didn't like working on overworld content...
another thing that was either forgotten/scrapped was the temperature system. there's a few pieces of evidence that it existed (reevolu's ancient deepwoken clips video shows that when hes in a snowy etris his healthbar is a more blue tint than usual + it was confirmed in some deep info video by nanoprodigy i think).
The original vision for deepwoken was a survival-exploration game, and its sad seeing temperature, a key identifier and cornerstone of the survival genre, removed from the game. The removal was kind of a signal that the visions changed and they no longer wanted a survival anymore

I feel like for half the islands theres so much unqiue space with so much same and nothing filling them up. Would love little hideouts or camps or unique events or quests to fill up the space!
Another thing the devs forgot about oathless oaths existence. I swear these devs vow by the gods of every religion that they’re not gonna buff oathless. It took Agamatsu strong lefting and breaking his monitor out of rage just for us to get the 10 hp and 10% oath mantra resistance.
well what is there to buff it? id say its the most balanced oath alongside(maybe) blindseer and id say contractor too, cuz it has an easy obtainment so it shouldn't give a drastic buff toward your character, 10 hp with oath magic resistance is a fair deal. the better thing to ask is the balancing of other oaths, talkin bout dawnwalker with yes has a difficult obtainment but it has too much of an upside being able to dish out insane amouts of dmg and completely disregarding shadowcast as an attunement to fight against it

As a player who doesnt play on the PvP side of things for the most part, I never understand the meta of this game and feel like its not something reachable by people below a steep skill ceiling.
Im not the best, but im not the worst, most of my builds have been on attunementless since I started playing because thats what has been the most fun, I like being able to get mantras like Skyshatter Kicks, and to be able to stun monsters every few hits; and the silentheart oath allows me to protect my friends from voidwalkers when they come to attack us.
For an example I think most people will get, the Deepwoken community is like the grand line, The Discord and PvP community with all of its toxicity and metas are like the Calm belts surrounding the line, it even includes videos about builds, updates, and criticism about the current game; Then you have actual deepwoken which is the Grand line, the place where your actual journey takes place, if you disconnect yourself from all these videos, every deepwoken update announcement, all of it, you are left with a genuinely fun experience that despite not being the best, you probably wont be able to put down; discovering new updates as you go each week, and learning and growing all on your own, making friends from all over the world, literally, deepwoken is the only game I have had that kind of experience.
I hear people say all the time “verse one wasn’t perfect but it was better because it was an adventure” but Verse two is an adventure too, it might be harder, more complicated; but others see it as challenging and indepth, and you can still get the organic player interactions in the game, you just have to disconnect yourself and ride the grand line, use whatever Attunement you want, and know that nerfs are only going to be small changes anyway, get excited pulling a brand new mantra, finding a new weapon, making new friends. Verse 1 wasnt better, neither is Verse 2.
Deepwoken is a game that thrives when it is played, and I assure you, without the stadium crowd shouting nerfs and patch notes at you or whatever mod did what this week, you will have fun playing deepwoken. You will have fun Living, Fighting, Dying, and Dying again; Just to start the process all over. This is why we love deepwoken.

This truly makes me want to play Deepwoken again, and experience the joy of those memories again. When Deepwoken first came out, and everything was shrouded in mystery. Thank you, doodles3114. Please make this a series 🙏 loving the rambling, also another forgotten thing is the authority vs etris event like its more rare than an astral meteor and even if u do have it happen it gives mid loot, a better way to execute this imo is like imagine just seeing a frigate boat filled with authority members pulling up to etris and the come as waves, the more waves u get the harder the npcs become, and since its so rare imagine the leader of the authority pulling up if u hit wave 5-10 or something and it just gives legendary shit if you finish it, imo that would be fun

It's worth mentioning that the current Etrean origins suck, they have 0 benefit (maybe isle of vigils is good for beginners since you can spar with trainers) and the only reason you would choose to start at them is if you haven't unlocked the other ones. Not to mention that the Etrean Luminant as a whole lacks points of interest when compared to the depths or the Eastern Luminant. They have to work on some sort of expansion for the luminant, because right now if a Eastern Luminant origin drops it might be the end for Etris
I’d imagine their gonna add a eastern luminant spawn. Being that most places have all the starter neccesities. The problem mostly stems from leveling in eastern luminant from power 1

I think the guns in Deepwoken have so much potential but there just implemented poorly.
Imagine you could get gun-only mantras that would do something special kinda like Cassidy in overwatch, where he shoots his intire mag when you use his ability. This would give guns diversity instead of just running around spamming m1. Make the hitbox on gun m1's smaller so it actually looks like the hit is connecting.
These changes would make it so guns would be less running around spamming m1 and more predicting your opponent and being cautious.
Also imagine the gun mantras they could make, there is so much potential for some sick gun mantras. (Like element only gun mantras where you have to have a gun and be flamecharm to get a certain mantra so everytime you see a gun user they wont just be silentheart.)
they should add some talents that are obtained from getting the hero rep to a faction and every talent is different and u cant just get them all u can only get one

the linkstrider oath is completley forgotten and not used. Its such a shame to see a perfectly intresting oath to be wasted.
honestly suggestion for the ignigtion union path yk how the union is like basically the tesla of deepwoken yea so here is a suggestion when you make a boat even a dingy you can steam power it same with other boats and it would only be for that origin also some wepons can be empowered with upgrades like booster to swing faster or electric shocks at random kinna like punchies wepon idea for the art compition that was held btw hi lolfox
Almost all of the 100 Legions progression is basically another game (type soul, peroxide etc.) I agree with it except I genuinely expect people to shit talk it and say its peroxide if it was made!

Something else I think they forgot about was secret areas in the game
The only examples I can think of off the top of my head are the strength uncap which is some little cave in a wall and the secret lotus cave at summer isle (betting you don’t even know what that is)
Those secret areas made the game feel more like a roguelike like how the game is supposed to be, and helped to improve the world building and mystery of the game by just a little bit
Unfortunately I don’t think the devs care about them anymore which sucks 😔
No quite archmage forgot but a cool easter egg about yamaketzal (the guy who gives you chime of conflict) the first part of his name Yama looks like this 山 in kanji which means mountain it looks just like the deepwoken icon. in the youtube font it only has one line going down but in others it has 2.
