You really should not be grinding echoes so early on, as they give no useful bonuses to you apart from being able to go without food for half a minute longer. What you really should be focusing on is trying to learn how to fight mobs in a safe environment. Your friends didn't really try to help you get started in the game, seeing how they made you go deepbound and go to layer 2 as a power 1... What I would recommend is having someone supervise you and go to the megalodaunt cave at Lower Erisia. If you do not know where that is, your friends should know. At the megalodaunt cave, you are free to practice the sharko mob with effectively no threats other than voidwalkers (which is why you need supervision). After getting a few levels from the sharkos and bandits, you should seek out a boat event with Etrea VS Knives of Eylis. It will be 2 boats next to each other with people fighting. On those boats, you have to kill etrean guards, not the knives of eylis, which don't like you. After you complete that boat event with contribution to fully wiping out etrean guards, you will gain a little bit of Knives of Eylis reputation. Do that about 2 more times, and voidwalkers will not be able to hunt you as long as you maintain good reputation with other factions. More about the voidwalker faction: Voidwalkers have a portable mini base, where they can take a bounty on anyone who has bad rep with a majority of the factions. Once they take a bounty, they can teleport near them and start hunting them down. Voidwalkers usually only take bounties when they are confident they will win, so with your current skill, it would be in your best interest to avoid them, which is why you should do the boat events. I didn't go much into detail, and this is a mess to read, but it's better than having your friends make you go deepbound without you knowing how to fight.
If your trying to get echo shards the best way to do it is activate every debug except the fragile heart debuff and then beat the trial of one. You just need to uncap one of your stats while in trial of one which can be done if you just uncap a stat at anytime before going into the trial. This gives 30 echos per run and only takes about 20 minutes (does require some skill)
the actual best way to get echos is by unlocking the ignition union origin, doing the oathless quest (while having all modifiers active) and then just wiping from there
