I think the reason ganks are not fun is because of people just having builds specifically for ganks, whether it be support builds or trackstar builds, but back then ganks were just so fun because people were playing the builds they actually just like and we need to bring back builds for fun instead of builds that follow the meta and made for specific things (except for pve).

whether it be prog, ganking, or messing around, i think friends can make anything fun
friends honestly make everything better, its just hard to keep a smile on my face when I'm getting stabbed constantly by assassin builds
something i realized with build making is that if you aren’t using a legendary weapon or attunment less your build almost always falls out of the meta because of the “wasted” stat points the only usable builds nowadays use legendary weapons or attunment less besides small niches
pcloud frost/shadow is the meta
its possible to not use legendary weapons and still be on par with those using them you just need a enchant to actually even it out

You forgot cheese builds. Where people run and spam mantras that can hit you from farm away and they deal a lot. Also 1 bar per m1 builds. There are more problems, but you've said most of the important ones, great vid btw.
Being able to assassinate during combat is straight up so unfair.
I hate it when the devs balance chime and overworld differently instead of actually fixing their game, it's so obnoxious because then the devs fix it in chime then ignore go on to ignore it forever because chime is all that matters to them.
About 3 days ago, I was just making my way to Artel so I could tp to songseeker. Out of no where a sweaty blade harper with a SK jumped me, and after like 5 mins of fighting I lost (I was only power 11 though) then he called me trash and told me to wipe my build. I wasn't going to take any of that, so I longed on my boltcrusher arcwarder to beat the fucking breaks off of that loser.
I get back to where I died, and the same dude and 3 mfs jump out and try to gank me. They almost got me but I had corrupted resurrection, so I was never going to die.
They all tried to put in me into infinite combos, but I'm just better. It looks like I was losing the 1v4 when a maxed lvl, curved blade, voidwalker pulls up out of nowhere and turns it into a 2v4. I was turned the fuck up, and the 2 of us were cooking all 4 of them. I knocked one by drowning his dumbass, but their was a track star who picked up the 2nd dumbass and hit the jets. At that point it was me, 2 voidwalkers, 3 random ass freshies that pulled up, and every fucking mob at hive chasing this trackstar, but he still got away. The 4th guy just left amidst the chaos, no commitment I swear.
TLDR: Track star ran away with his boyfriend after losing the 1v4 he started.
It becomes fun when you start trolling ppl with THE BOLBETTO DISGUISE ft. Bobby
Ngl I feel like for assassins to actually be fair, they’d need some sort of setup or stacking mechanic like silentheart to allow them to assassinate. It could be as simple as having throwing knives and landing 3 grants an assassin’s mark. It’d make it a lot more combat engaging and have counterplay, but it doesn’t really sound like making openings like an assassin.
they also removed lightning clone double wall climb, and they made jetstriker trails boost u up higher so u can follow them. There is not much left for them to change other than completely removing it

The trails dont work because a person with jetstriker has more agility so you dont go the same distance when following

MAYBE, everyone should make THEIR OWN BUILDS, yknow, play the game THE WAY ITS FUCKING INTENDED, instead of following bullshit metas. Maybe then, EVERYONE will have fun. Literally why i stopped playing this game. No actual build diversity, all meta builds with slightly different cosmetics, and thats it. The lack of fun in ganking and playing the game is the fault of the playerbase. As for trackstars, just add a pinch of extra agility to your build. "Oh but itll ruin my meta build!" Good. Fucking wonderful.

i think they should just make it harder to join in a 1v1, like I mean maybe a talent that buffs a player the more enemies he fights? a good buff would be like some hyperarmor and duration scales on players, the other option I think would be goo is probably just bring back luck stat lol, the gap between a new player and an old would lessen ig, just more ganking

the main thing that makes ganking unfun is when you're outnumbered and then boom you just lost
key point: judgement and eclipse kick/skyshatter when both people have the same build so you miss the parry of 1 judgement and there goes 2 bars
there should be some sort of damage scaling for the more people on you the less damage you take
ganking hasnt been fun since verse 2 minmaxing became more well known
This isn't even the full list of major issues I have with overworld ganking. Voidheart is a horrible map for ganking, you don't get guild score and yet it's the easiest and most encouraged area to get ganks in. AoE mantras like Permafrost Prison are absolutely not ok. Santchemist Heal Pots, Insanity Pots and Ether Drain pots are busted. Bear Trap doesn't fix trackstars and it's just an annoyance because you can't use your air attack. Air Counter doesn't catch trackstars and instead just randomly teleports you to your opponent when you use an air attack. Heavy Nemesis. Void Spire deleting all colors on your screen, just why. Guns, they are still an issue, no parry stun half the time and ranged m1's. Single gun should NOT have bullets. The fact that we get a new untested overpowered weapon/mantra/talent every week that only has a 50% chance to get nerfed next week that has janky anims and hitboxes.
Lmao I usually have 5 wp on most of my builds and 2 insanity pots make my head explode 😭 That should not be a thing. Its supposed to be SUPPORT.
assassination builds have always been extremely both unbalanced and unfair, talking mainly about those one shot ironsing + thundercall hero blade of lighting builds, even after they "nerfed" assassinations during the depths wiping assassins, its still broken asl
i find trackstarring really fun for both mobility and support wise (mainly saving people and being defensive) but if we're talking being as cheesy as one can get, then yeah naw shit can get really fucked
honestly with the new talent thats basically anti jetstriker trackstars arent even a problem imo but the silenthearts that do a bar an m1 to a build wit 550 hp is absolutely insane

Hear me out. Not everyone enjoys PvP or PvE, and jetstriker is the only oath designed for running. They should probably just nerf or remove it's mantras, make assassinations parriables normally, and make heavy haul innate so trackstars aren't as annoying but lemme escape being jumped on an Amazon delivery build 🙏
No point in removing the mantras, thats removing the rework, just reduce the dash distance and add a cooldown to it so its not every dash, and also just overall all across the board nerf climb distance and we should ALMOST be set (mobility mantras still suck)
I think if they added qte type events to assassinations where u could struggle to get them off and prevent and punish assassination players that would be cool. It would probably end up being ping based but that's just a given with deepwoken.
Also I might be insane but I think attunement should be a seperate set of points and you would then have to invest into attunementless stats in order to gain some of the stronger talents.
bro just built up and broke down almost every problem in ganking, would have been nice if he covered the topic of mage builds but this is good enough

They removed its running attack talent, but kept everything that kept it insane for trackstarring, and then slapped some PvP mantra's on to it. So in terms of its mobility, little-nothing has changed
i think the best way to nerf jetstriker is just to nerf jet kick, i feel like if they nerf jetstrikers mobility any more itll just be a useless oath for overworld ganking.

They reworked jetstriker while literally keeping 95% of its mobility intact, now you have the bonus problem of having even more trackstars than usual because of a "mobility oath" having 2 of the best combat oath mantras in the game

mobility i wish it was that easy but i have seen the 2 one where the map is so big compared to the mobility that you basically take 30 min to travel for most basic shit and the oposite where you want to go on a bridge but its so small compared to the movement speed that you constantly fall over(2nd one is in arcane odesey)

Yo nerfing mobility would actually be pretty good for new players as they can actually learn pvp instead of just running away
As a casual player I find great enjoyment in it. I onced played this game all too much and that made it less fun.
But yes, there is a lot of bs in this meta
They removed skulls so people could practice in chime, i would say they should keep skulls just increase the amount we have so players arent sitting in chime all day

imo, attunementless isn't as braindead as you make out of it in this video. you miss out on 15hp from element uncap talents, and even though you can make that up by going for reinforced armor post shrine, you miss out on mantra variety and powerful element talents. its definitely stronger than some elements in chime, but not better than ice or gale, and is useless in present day ganks apart from assassination/jetstriker and silentheart heavy builds, because it lacks the aoe mantras all attunements have
i agree it needs some tweaks though, fighting no attunement isn't fun

I feel like the game’s meta always finds a way to regress back to attunementless for the sake of stats. I really don’t think there’s a solution to the attunementless problem besides de incentivizing going attunementless or incentivize specing into ur element

in my 500 hours of deepwoken i have never used shrine of order. it basically doesnt exist for me

You know all these scenerios would be solved if you decided to learn how to play the game, instead of just running away like a headless chicken around the map praying that your combat tag wears off, You wouldn't lose the legendaries you have on if you learned how to fight, i can tell you call everybody who jumps you a sweat because they're just better than you, you could fight said ''sweat'' if you learned to press F, even in the 3v1 scenario if you decide to actually take time off doing your pve sessions to learn pvp and make an actual decent pvp build you can win, Reaper is always there you know, If you're in a guild you can even call for back up
