    A friend was throwing some dry moly spray out . My hand was there and caught it before it went into the garbage . My question is can I use this stuff on my bicycle chain ?

    your "lab test" depends on how hard you pull, which you didnt standardize

      The weight meter is being used to detail the needed force applied at a constant speed in to the horizontal component (x-axis) to move a standard weight (50 lbs.). The only other force acting on this weight (in the x-axis) is the coefficient of friction for the surface the weight is being moved across. The applied force decreased because the coefficient of friction decreased (due to the lubricant) meaning the weight is easier to move at a constant speed ultimately resulting in a lower applied force (that weight measurement) being needed to move the weight horizontally. The weight shown on the meter is the force which is the same thing as how hard it was pulled.
