I don’t mind the attention that my Emira gets out on the road, but it does give me a real complex about parking it anywhere. My 911 could be parked anywhere and I never worried about it getting fiddled with, but this car draws people like flies to honey. The result is that I drive it less than I want to.
I changed out the oil right after the 1,000 mile break-in to remove the wear-in particulate that's now in the oil. I could see fine metal flakes in the oil when I drained it, so now that stuff isn't in the engine causing further wear than normal. I also changed the transaxle fluid too for the same reason.
You can start your car in sport or track mode if you hold down the start button (like for 6 seconds) without touching the brake/clutch to put the car into auxiliary power mode. From there you can change the drive mode and then start the engine.
So this would be my only sports car. I’m struggling between an Emira and a 992.2 Carrera base. Had an exige s240 before. Loved it. Had a 981 Spyder. Didn’t love the gearing on it, because you could only have fun in first and second on the street. Never had a 911, so not sure how they drive. But I’m looking for sports car fun on the street. Basically 0 to 80 mph good times and sprints. With excellent handling in the twists and turns . I will not be tracking it. Which way should I go?
I really love the look of this car! I was thinking on selling my 98 NSX to purchase this but, your comments about electronic issues and it to be known scares me….lol. I’ve only had my used NSX for 6 years with zero issues…..I think the Emira will be highly desirable once they stop producing it…..and go to EV Maybe Toyota needs to handle all the electrical….
Hello, congratulations on your car. 🎉🎉 I have the same problem with the sensor, but only in the rain 😂 When your dealer has solved your problem, give me feedback. Great video btw. Greetings from Germany 👋🏼👋🏼🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪

Yeah I try to park away from other cars but even at that there’s always someone who parks right next to me even if im far away 😂
Same problem but worse in Alfa Romeo 4C

Didn’t know this, I’ll try it next time

If you want a manual and don’t care about 0-60, go for the emira. If you’re getting an automatic and want to beat people 0-60 then get the 911.
I want one! Thanks for the video, lots of great info in it!
I changed the oil at 1000. The engine will probably last longer if you do, no break in stuff floating around. The reverse is probably an adjustment.

Oh wow must be common on the Emira then. I’ll keep you updated about it. Enjoy your emira 👍
Same situation here...
Curious, did you spend over 100k in the US? I see it go for 60-65 euro in the UK
Yes these are about $100k in the US. The UK is lucky
I would’ve thought of importing one, but right hand drive is extra crap for insurance premium.
Now we’re stuck with very common c8’s in the US
Maybe wait a year or two for depreciation
@@carswithnate heh I wish. The Emira seems like a damn game changer. I only see it appreciating from here :(
Why starbucks?
What other place has a drive thru?
