The world corrupts my mind, social media corrupts my mind, my own mind corrupts itself. Buckethead resets you and puts you back where you are supposed to be.
thank you for these words. seriously, no sarcasm.
The first few seconds of Broken Mirror gives me feel a very specific feeling I just can't place. It's like the feelings I've had in dreams, where there's a sort of emptiness to the sky and the world feels different, but peaceful. I've spent a lot of time reminiscing on these dreams as I feel like the happiest I've ever been is in them. And this album makes me feel like I'm there, in a way that I can't explain. I'm a huge fan of bucket and think all his stuff is incredible but this album is just extraordinary.
Same here it makes me feel some sort of way that I can't explain and its not like I've heard it before. weird
@@bentheobald1426 Yeah, I've decided it's kind of like when you're not awake yet but you're not really asleep anymore either. It reminds me of that weird in-between state.
@@driinun8433 yeah you've got it spot on I know exactly what you mean
I've been trying to figure out how to explain how strong the emotions are in this dude without opening his mouth he has me so locked in on his emotions i feel something move in me every chord I'm amazed at this guys accuracy at the speed he plays he's really in a different class as any one else Vai,Satrianni,Zakk, I'm a very big Yngwie fan and always thought he was the best hands down but man this guy grabs gears that no one can get to he's another level the G.O.A.T
It's a great little tune
Ok, here goes, I generally come to the comments section to read what other people interpret from Bucketheads music. But I have to comment myself. I am a 49 year old who LOVES music. There has never been an artist, living or dead, that can evoke such emotions as this man. Each note tugs at a different heart string, making you feel some kind of way. This album in particular, has had me wiping tears from my cheeks. People please understand how fortunate we are to exist at the same time this man does. Mindblowingly gifted individual.
Strongly agree.
I Totally Agree !!!!!!
I'm 41 and grew up with deaf parents so I discovered music for myself. My tastes have come and gone but for the last 10 years I have been completely obsessed with Buckethead's music. Never has any music made me feel so much emotion and without a single word spoken... it's pure magic that few will ever understand or connect with like you and I do. Rock on, my friend✌
I’m also a 49 year old who loves music, and yes, this album is amazing
thank you agreed
Buckethead has shown me that there are still people on earth with big hearts
BUCKET or Bioengineered UnHuman Controlled Kinetic Energy Technology is the MOST advanced robot Japan has ever made. It's sole purpose is to SHRED, DELIGHT, and ENTERTAIN humans across the world. The BUCKET is too costly for home use due to constantly needing recharged to come up with more music.
couldn't have said it better myself, your comment made my day
Nikola Tesla this is golden lol
Genial comment
Best comment I've read about him today.
biz senin cenazene geldik
I was thinking suicidal thoughts all day..... Thank you so much Buckethead. I pray you can a thousand more albums and play a million more shows. U give my life purpose. U give me inspiration to continue... U give me hope for the future... I will never be as good as a guitarist as you but I will be a better guitarist then I was yesterday everyday thanks to you
Hope your doing well and make the best out everyday ! I believe in you, just hope you do too !
Live your life to love others. You'll find you want to live forever.
Dude:. After life is nothing.. so.. no.. don’t
Came across your comment, I hope you are still among the living my friend !
I'm 64 ,and I love his music
i swear every time i listen to a new album by buckethead i think its the greatest thing hes ever made. EVERY SINGLE TIME. buckethead does not disappoint.
Tommy Silva couldn't agree more, even the more creepy obscure stuff like inbred mountain is still beautifully written. And gets the message across that inbred mountain is scary as shit
You should see him live. Best. Show. Ever.
He is what you would call a virtuoso, evokes feelings that cannot be described with words!
I haven't been able to concentrate and focus for a long time. It is important for my line of work to focus(I am a researcher/teacher). I was depressed and thought I would never be able to put in by best work since I am not able to do the one thing I am supposed to do. Focus. But yesterday i worked for straight 45 mins on one of buckethead's album. And after listening to the first song of this album, I feel I can work to this. If I ever write a book, I am going to thank buckethead first in the forward. your art is saving me.
It's crazy how great music like just goes under the radar. Thank you for all the albums buckethead!
+Gary Gerstenmaier
it's illuminati-free!
Gary Gerstenmaier You're right.
I think that's better for buckethead, like he wants to be out of spotlight just to do his amazing stuff with no limits of time, space, or anything that breaks what he essentially is.
Too f'n true, i heard the name yrs ago, but only recently discovered, the times i missed, damn!, TY B! rock on!
It's crazy how crap music keeps getting played over and over. Sooo many people are brain dead. I have to hear it over and over unwillingly. Kill me now lol!
I kinda feel like Buckethead is like a Post-Rock/Metal pioneer in a way. He's been making layered textured instrumental music for what... almost 30 years now? He's like a Post Rock Hipster! ( I mean that with respect) I just mean to say he's been doing it before it really had a name. I've been listening to him for what seems like forever now; since high school, and I keep discovering new nuances that I missed in an album from like 10 or 15 years ago hell.. even 20! Monsters and Robots is almost 20! I dunno, long live Buckethead! Thank you for posting this! It's made my evening. The missus isn't home so I can listen to the stuff she doesn't like. It's amazing how I went from homework and Buckethead. To... laundry, dinner, and domestic life ...and Buckethead. He'll always have a place in my life.
This album is the greatest post-rock/math rock album ever
I truly regret not having discovered Buckethead sooner
One has to definitely feel it to make music like this
It makes me feel strangely similar to the feeling I had when I read books, where I would go into places far beyond reality and experience the greatest senses of relief and peace
Thank you Buckethead for sharing your emotions through music
Art is a form of expression... Buckethead music is art, there is no way questioning this...
Unlike science where you can make people understand your logic by a sequence of thinking, on art if not able to convice someone you're "right"... well, you're not going to convince the person in any other way. Art is something you accept.
I accept Buckethead's art.
Jimi would have been a fan for sure.
He would.. I always find it hilarious when I come across debate about the best guitarist .. Hendrix.. Nah! Vai! Nah! Satriani! Gilbert! Nah, Holdsworth .. lol. Just enjoy the damn music
No kidding. Every soul that can spell guitar must be a fan.
Jimi is
@@xkcd1521 According to the young Buckethead the best guitarist would be Shawn Lane...
@@u.v.s.5583 according to the old shawn Lane, is holdworth (i think)
This is fucking outstanding.
I lost track of time when I first heard this. One of the best best way to spend 42 minutes.
How do you spend the last second?
I'm crying.
I just found bucket head today and let me tell you his music is finger licking good and it's helping me recover from the flu this man is amazing on guitar
Cheesy nips plz same!!!!!!
This album took my breathe away. I just sat here in awe....thank you Buckethead this is beautiful..
Michael Scherer are you german? ^^
No I'm American, but my last name comes from my german ancestors on my dad's side of the family :)
Michael Scherer ah ok well yeah i'm german that's because i asked ^^
Michael Scherer and i had the same emotion when listening to this wonderful piece of music :D
Golden medal for First riff
One of the best acoustic albums of all time. Been using this album to mourn in hope for various loved ones for almost 15 years now. Coming back around again and it never fails to speak to me. What a legacy Buckethead's music is!
Espero ver este comentario en unos años y caer en nostalgia mientras escucho tremenda obra de arte
Ever since I found Buckethead my college days have been so much more easy going. Honestly I've never felt this way about only instrumental music until now. Life changing
Check out my sleeping karma
...first, he mesmerizes you...then, when he has your total attention, as if he-s connected into your head, he then, soothes that crazy primal beast within us all, and, at the same time, he turns tears of pain into tears of joy; there is no one i have ever heard that could do this in such a superlative, seamlessly graceful and, ethereal way, full of the wonders of this world and, beyond...
I agree. I just discovered him and I can´t stop listening and sit with my mouth open all emotional.
@@TheHeadown he is amazing- one of the best musical artists of the 20th and 21st centuries; easily in the top 100. the guy blows me away...cannot EVER tire of his music; he captures EVERYTHING possible...
@@sebastionhawk5565 Yeah, I´ve been listening to him for 5 hours straight and for every new song I´m like: C´moooon, how the HELL can he top one great song over another time after time like this. Amazing does not even make it jusice.
What I love is the creativity. It's so annoying when technically advanced bands sound so predictable. Soloing over a backing track is not art. That's like a writer using lot of vocabulary words and thinking that it's remarkable.
Garegin Asatryan Well said, great fucking analogy
That was well disguised sarcasm GA So I guess BH is the best at soloing over backing tracks, cuz no one else is calling anyone else remarkable at it. Giver a whirl urself bro, I will listen to ur track I promise.
You mean like Buckethead soloing over a backing track, like here .
Sounds fantastic every time! Reminds me of of a guy Brian Carrol
+Darren Kiefer its sad that no one got that...
+Sean Tyler "The irony is rich"
King, Wraith
i guess it is... damn do some research people! (not you lol)
+Sean Tyler why???
Because Buckethead is Brian Carrol >.
I've listened to this album at least five times in the last 24 hours. Simply amazing.
One of Best albums by Buckethead for sure, excellent to program listening to
+Felype Rennan matlab programming here and i totally agree, it cools you down while debugging xD

Takes some doing to create such gorgeous soundscapes. A colossal imagination helps. Will I ever get bored of Buckethead? Hasn't happened yet.
well there is so many albums to choose from....its a discovery all on its own.......an adventure...
This guy doesn't needs lyrics to be perfect. \m/ BH is the god

Hola amigo rogerio. Revisando "clásicos" del maestro. Un disco genial. Cuanto sentimiento y creatividad. Es único. Un abrazo.
"BUCKETEMOTION" Realmente, amigo. Um forte abraço. Já ouviu o maravilhoso e extraordinário Pike 93?
+rogerio lopes Buckethead existe em outra dimensão, gera trabalhos excepcionalmente melódicos e imaginativos!
I read Gantz while listening to Buckethead albums, its just magic, i cri evrytiem.
Each artist have developed their own playing style over time. I knew a buckethead at the Oregon coast, Newport. He was in and out of the local jail. I never knew his real name. I did hear of his story. He was a professor with a reputable college held several degree's in his field of study. Was married with 4 wonderful children. He was going home one afternoon with his wife and kids in the family station wagon when it was struck from behind with a 18 wheeler the impact turned the station wagon into an accordion killing his wife and children instantly He survived the accident after 15 months in a coma. That day forever changed him. He was a poor man with a sever mental illness. I would often see him wearing nothing but a bucket on his head and a plastic bag for clothing a pair of combat boots no laces. If I saw him walking Id offer to take him to Izzy's for a free meal and fill his pockets with as much food as he could carry. One day I saw bucket without his bucket instead he had several dozen hypodermic needles sticking out of his head. No doubt poor man was wacked beyond any reasonable doubt. I found a place where he could have a roof over his head but he had to stay on his mental health medication. He was. Not to say this bucket is a mental case.. some say there is a fine line between brilliance and insanity. The last time I heard of Bucket he dove off the Newport Bridge did a nosedive into very shallow water. I do not know if he survived his encounter that morning or not. Soon Afterward I moved back home to care for my father.
Man this guy knows exactly how to capture emotion and express it through music.
I hope I'm able to be like him and play guitar just as good in the future.
July 1st 2023
Coming back to this with new ears
its just fountain of tears.
swimming in emotions.
Track 1 is my favourite
I can't even say anything about old big B. because if I did it would never be enough. You will be gods angel.....or are you already. Lol
Guitar is pure emotion....and my friend you give the definition every time you hit those strings.
jason nease which makes wearing the mask even more spectacular! We aren't forced to watch fake facial expressions like YM, SV, and PG. Sure, they can all play, but with Buckethead remaining faceless, we can create our own story, to fit our lives, through music alone.
Impresionante trabajo ...desde chile un saludo a quienes están detrás de esto y a quien lo publico, gracias.
That's real hard. I had a 18 year old cat who went blind and lost both its kidneys. It took three injections to put her down. She grabbed my finger with her paw and just clung on to life, didn't wanna go.
and that has what to do w/ Buckethead? sorry for the cat
One of the best guitarist ever... no ego at all!
you have been an impact to my life like a comet crashing into earth. I now understand music.
Buckethead is the jimi Hendrix of our time hands down
***** nobody is better than jimi hendrix on electric guitar and nobody is better than django rheinhardt on acoustic guitar buckethead is a great innovative cutting edge guitarist composer musican sure a great virtuoso
no not true nobody is better than jimi hendrix on electric guitar and django rheinhardt on acoustic guitar im one hell of a great musician myself on bass im second to none on guitar ill wipe the fucking floor with most of the rest im an honest original powerfull innovative cutting edge pushing the boundaries musician ive done 15cds check me out on you tube spotify itunes amazon tutl records etc
quite a few im not spoon fed by anything but really music is not a competion i just love to play create and hear music i enjoy music all kinds of music alot of great music lot of crap music is everything that humanity and nature is i like buckethead hes great
Jimi Hendrix is very overrated. He was good for his time but there are thousands of better guitarists today who are more skilled than Jimi. It's great if you like Jimi. There is no ONE GREATEST GUITARIST. It's just an opinion. Just listen to the music.
calm your tits he's not that good
How can one man make so many brilliant albums?
There might be like a thousand other guitarist who r better or faster but!!! N a big but!!!!! Buckethead is like a spring high up in the mountains coming from deep heart of the world of classical n flamenco guitar! Every time!!!! He gets u!!! This spring of unfiltered water never ends up surprise the fuck out of u! My life has got two stages!!! Before “electric tears” and after “electric tears”.

As a few others have commented, I like the more subtle and mellow instrumentals I've heard from Buckethead (I'm new to his music) compared with the extended jams of high-speed picking and riffing I've heard--most of which I find undistinguished and unworthy of all the worshipful praise in comments. But even here, I have to say that despite his obvious talent and his notable attempts to be as diverse as possible, there isn't enough in the way of distinctive guitar lines or riffs to convince me he has the inventive melodic sense to go with his remarkable skill. (There are moments of beautiful, expressive guitar, but too much seems rather uninspired and repeats rather than building on a fresh riff.) Just playing real fast, clean, pretty, passionate or other traits--that doesn't mean the music is distinctive or rich in its musical statements. I wonder if he needs to cut back on the prolific output and work more on coming up with unique, melodic and compelling riffs. For my taste, I'd still prefer the more distinguished guitar vision of, say, Mark Knopfler, Tom Verlaine, Jimi Hendrix, Neil Young (early to mid-career, not the worthless stuff over the last roughly 20 years) and others who are known for a signature style and creative guitar lines, not just fast and furious playing that communicates almost nothing.
What the fuck! Why doesn't every single person alive know Buckethead??? This is amazing!
Thank you for posting, Ian Georghe!👍❤
This, Buckethead, is a gift to my ears. I adore you and your music so much. Brother, I discovered you 3 years ago.... you have changed my life. Next to Colma, this is my next favorite. Fuck! This is fantastic! Thank you, Buckethead, you have opened my eyes.....

Buckethead is not human, this is fantastic!
just when i think Mr B is playing a series of neat riffs, motifs, bridges & codas as if he's practising in his bedroom, he turns it around & creates a beautiful, soulful piece of music. it's a damn fine thing. i'm mighty impressed & glad to count myself as one of his admirers...
