I posted here this masterpiece 4 years ago. But I also lost my mother 18 days ago, the pain and sadness is bad, I completely understand the sadness of Buckethead. Rest in peace, Mom!
I'm 75 years old and Buckethead has given me a new and glorious reason to live on. His music is perfect and brings out every good emotion in me. I could listen to him forever. He's made other guitarists into mincemeat. All I want to do is listen to him. I'd give anything to meet him. Keep up the good work, sweetie. Since I am a mother, I know how proud your mom had to be of you.

There is something different about this guy apart from the technique that makes a huge difference between all the greatest guitarists. There is no doubt that he is a genius and No. 1 in my personal list, but I would also say a great human being despite his complicated personality and weakness (... who does not have one!!!! ....), I think what makes people love him so much, it is also his humbleness, his way of not being a star even if he could afford it. Hope His doing well and taking care of himself.
how do you k n o w all that ? have you ever spent some time with him - hours, even days ? / for almost three decades, starting with my birth, i lived in a country where a strong cult of personality - president - ( who was, b.th.way, elected forever - lifelong ( and he managed to be the comandant of armed forces, too...) ( and a war hero ) and so, since I saw with my own reason how quickly and without being even concious of it, a person starts to believe - and even w a n t s to believe in all the best, and very soon, supernatural qualities of somebody or smth. he put on a n altar.... that s why I immediately get very cautious when i sense even a trace, a beginning of such unhealthy attitude. /. Take care !
Aashman Vyas I love buckethead and have been a huge fan for ages. But you're right, some of the pikes are not very good. Still, there are amazing things like this too.

When my 13 year old son was killed, buckethead kept my head together. Thank u so much! As a guitarist i have so much respect for you!!! And thank u for helping me
so sorry for your loss./ I cannot imagine the pain. I hope you and your family are pulling through. Find strength in Buckethead. I definitely go to him when I am stressed out or anxious and it seems to calm me a lot.
I'm so sorry for your loss, but I'm also very happy when I hear that Buckethead helps you, he helps me too, always. I hope you continue to get along, such paths are never easy and the same. be strong my dear and stay strong forever, god bless you
As a father, fellow guitarist and fellow Buckethead fan, my deepest condolences I am very very sorry for your loss. This comment truly hit me hard and broke me a little bit I am crying this morning reading this. Brother, may all of life’s healing and blessings come to you. I am so sorry. No parent should ever have to feel such pain. I pray that your spirit heals and know that one day you will be reunited with them again. I’m not very religious but I am spiritual and I promise you, I used to be agnostic and very very logic based only. I’ve had a few experiences and heard many stories that have changed that for me. I still hold to logic, but I am relieved to know there really is a spiritual realm and we cannot see the whole picture of the creation. It’s what keeps me going almost days. I want to see my grandparents and the ones I’ve lost along the way again one day. I’m sure we will one day my friend. I don’t know you, but I love you, and I am sending love your way today. At the speed of light, or even better at the speed of Buckethead. God bless
Buckethead isn't a person He's an 'Idea'. imagine almost every kids dream to be a rock star yet BH shuns that concept. he could have easily soldout and would have plowed his way a spot as one of the greatest guitarist of all time (which he is anyway) but instead he prefers to feed the slunks and enjoy the simple things in life. i surely admire his playing but his ethics and humble nature given his divine talent is extremely inspirational. no "behind the music VH1" story here, no "well i was real messed up on coke and blah blah"... this story goes "boy picks up guitar and a bucket o' chicken and becomes a God"
Mr.Crab ,just to let you know , i will copy your comment ,print it and keep it in my wallet ,so everytime somebody ask me ''what is up with this buckethead guy'' I can shove it in their face for being dissrespectful , and I couldn't have said it better myself ;) ,cheers
Ender003, If you believe in God, there is only one, and he is the supreme being, and master of the universe. A god on the other hand, is someone like Buckethead, who is supreme at what he does.
I just lost my Dad today. It was only natural that I play this album to help me work some emotions out. Do yourself a favor and hug your parents, tell them how much they mean to you, and take time out of your day to spend some quality time with them and have some real fun with them.
Thank you for the condolences. I am better these days. Still hurting, and was diagnosed with anxiety dissorder because of how shaken I was by his loss. But, I'm working through everything very slowly. One day at a time. I forgot I made this comment on this video... I'm glad I did! Thanks for checking on me :)
Kay Kumpf - I actually think about this quite frequently. Running around with my head cutoff with work/life that sometimes I forget how short life is. Most of us are climbing in a panic state, trying to figure out where we belong or who we even are, that we forget to pay attention to the most important aspect of life. FAMILY. Mom and Dad, Brothers and Sisters. After all the bullshit we go through and all the friends we meet, family will always be there. Thank you for reminding me to cherish the moments I have with my family while we're all still here and healthy. To be honest, tripping on psilocybin always makes me want to go home and hug my Mom and Dad for everything they've done for me and all they've sacrificed. I can't wait to be a parent someday.
A year has passed. I hope life is going forward for you. There are many, many beautiful Buckethead songs for all music tastes. Listen to them and it will make you feel (a little bit) better.
Beautifuly said. One jeleous individual once said Buckethead's music is repetitive. I must agree, he repeatedly gives all his energy and talent so we can all enjoy. ✌
@@RR-qw6gu agreed.. Its his signature sound.. It isnt anymore or any less repetitive than any other guitar player... Its just the best sounds the instrument has to offer.. Over and over in different ways... I feel like all good music.. You either love it or hate it... Anyone unbiased would easily agree buckethead is the greatest whose ever played.
I only just discovered Buckethead yesterday, and I've only discovered this today. 8th of May 2024, and i seriously can't get enough of this. What a talented guitar player, what a day.
You said it! Amen! I went to a Satriani concert. Supremely talented yet I was not moved. Was curious to see other "fast" guitarists. Saw Buckethead doing Nottingham Lace live. Blew me away!! So melodically wonderful and powerful! As fate would have it, he came through Orlando a few months later! Just saw him for the second time a couple weeks ago! Played "It's a small world" and "When you wish upon a star," for our benefit and the fact that he loves Disneyland:)
Dear Buckethead, I feel your humor I feel your sadness I feel your intensity I feel your satire You are a true artist All the layers and textures I can see the paintings in my mind Your tentacles are notes of power You are a product of all music has to prosper The complexity of your mind!! The perfect blend of rhythms and melodys I understand it all I respect all the masters and innovators of wood and wire But you are the GOAT
Patience is a lost art. I think it's safe to say that Buckethead is a musical prodigy/genius and that Hold Me Forever is more like a fully realized symphony than merely great Rock and Roll. The way it builds tension throughout, and that it has recurring themes, gives the impression of being created by a classical composer. If Rock and Roll is your religion, Buckethead is a GOD. His mom must have been really special, to have this dedicated to her.
I’ve been listening to Buckethead every day for seven years now. He changed my life. He is my hero. He means the world to me. Words cannot describe how much I love him and his work.
what's wild is I'm sure part of why he does what he does is to show appreciation for fans like you and me. hes able to share his art with many who find inspiration from it. any artist will tell you that's an incredibly satisfying to know people are inspired by your work. I'll never forget his performance when he came to Houston. He handed out little toys and rubber chickens to the crowd. Hes incredible. His last song he played was Nottingham Lace. I'll never forget him either bro.
That’s cool. I knew of him but I didn’t really listen to his music. I just started listening to him about a month ago and I’m totally blown away. Amazing talent
@@hab9609 Hes an example of when you stay true to your art and passion. Not selling out and not trying to placate the popular/mainstream entertainment business. He did fill in for Slash, years ago, when guns and roses were touring a while back. Axel apparently disliked him wearing that KFC bucket on his head, told him to stop wearing it effectively. Buckethead said no way Jose and the rest is history. Hes made over 250+ albums (pikes) and makes all sorts of experimental guitar arrangements. Hes one of the goats not so much for guitar skill, but for his vast array of influential music hes created over the 20+ years.
My wife had the best description of him when I showed her the video I recorded at the Exit/In when I went to see him here in Nashville... When he did his Toy Exchange, she watched how he interacted with us in the audience and said "He's a boy, like a little boy" and I said "Yep, you got it!" and thats what sets him apart...He approaches life from the perspective of a Man/Child... His reality is our fantasy
I got a toy from him at his concert. I have it up on my wall with the ticket and wristband. Best show of my life, he truly loves the fans. I sat in line for HOURS to be first in line and he knows it so he gives back, even just little things but its my most prized possession. :)
Tom N Absolutely right :) That'a also why his drawings look so childish: it's like the idea of the link between the poet and the child expressed by Blake in "The Lamb" :)
5ol1dsn4ke I'm not really sure what you are saying here. BH is The Child is The Man....for someone of Buckethead's creativity, musicianship, feeling, this is how one would approach life... Have the creativity of a child but knowing the importance of an adult. No insult intended, I assure you, 5ol1dsn4ke
Tom N I saw him the last 3 times he played at the Exit/In. The second time was with That 1 Guy. I gave Buckethead a dvd of the original Carnival of Souls and he gave me a mask. He's one of a kind.
Can you hear that? That's the sound of real love. He evokes all the pain of loss, the unknowing, the flooding memories, the dream, the confusion, the understanding, and through it all the consistent heartbeat that still says: _I will never give up._ And that's just what he does, *he continues on brighter than ever.* I didn't know Nancy, but I know I'd be so proud if he were my son, and no doubt she is. I am.. inspired. Thank you Brian, thank you Nancy, and thank you Mom. ^-^
You wanna hear a song that really evoke the pain of loss and death? Listen to Maggot Brain by Funkadelic. It's regarded my MANY as one of the greatest solos ever written. On ANY instrument. The 100% true backstory is that Eddie asked George Clinton how he wanted him to play the song and George said "play it like somebody just told you your momma died". And Eddie put together that masterpiece you hear on Maggot Brain. It's incredible. Rest in Peace, Eddie Hazel 🙏❤️🎸🍄
Buckethead is a persona that is attached to a person that can shred the hell out of a guitar! The music and the persona defy conventional boundaries of the music industry while the music lifts and touches your spirit. Making it truly special and unique! Buckethead Rocks and rules a guitar.
The first time I heard this masterpiece I was driving home and I was about ten minutes in. I got home and sat in the garage for another 20 min and listened all the way through. Tears in my eyes. I kept thinking of my late father but I wasn’t sure why. When I read it was dedicated to his mother it all made sense. Music is so incredibly powerful and healing. Thank you Buckethead. Your music has guided me through the darkest chapters of my life and I am eternally grateful.
The year after his parents died (within a year's gap they both passed), he released 118 albums. Yes, 118 albums. He went full mad. I wish he has help in case he needs it. I know I wouldn't be able to survive that kind of a blow.
I'd love to climb Mt Everest and play that Pike on a GIANT stereo system for the whole world to hear!!! It's too awesome to even explain with words....
+Krabman I will go to Mt Kilimanjaro and face my massive sound system towards yours and synchronize it with yours and someone should be on every major elevation point on earth doing the same. The world would crumble then melt into singularity.
It's crazy how even after all these years this is the one that sticks out the most. To me, this is Buckethead's magnum opus. This the best and most important thing he's ever done, and he did it for his mom. Buckethead is such an incredible human
everybody's saying "oh this is his best work" or "this pike is the best" or "his best album is" and it's like.. I don't think this man has a bad album. He's consistently magnificent everywhere, and all the time.
Some people dislike the experimentation on a lot of the pikes.. I think they all hold their own story. Quality over Quantity, but this is ridiculous. I find enjoyment on every single album. Such skill.
Its like he knows he's going to lose her and he's giving his everything for her and cant finish it all in time. It struck something for me truly insane for no words
Lost a Best friend to suicide this year, but have found peace in bucketheads music and is inspiring me to write a piece of music to remember her. Bucketheads community is so nice too!
Is because concepts like good/evil are controversial what with everybody having their own life experiences contributing to their position... But beauty? Beauty is universal.
Update, the song is coming along pretty nicely. Working on the solo a little more and need to find a decent way to record it. Not on the level of Sir Bucket but trying my hardest! Love you all, Alex!
Hey all, update is here. Currently in and out of hospital due to cancer. I have a rough recording of the song on my phone and in my head. It’s basically complete I just need a little more time to heal and find someone to record it with. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all the bucketheads x
"'No one calls me Brian except my mother." via Blabbermouth and according to Ozzy. What a beautiful tribute by Bucket and so many beautiful positive comments in here.
Maybe you'll finish his Discography by your death! Actually that would be something to put on your bucketlist... Listen to entire discography of Buckethead.. Better get to it.. :D
To be honest, I was expecting something sombre with this Pike, the likes of 'For Mom' or 'Watching The Boats With My Dad', but Big B has really given his mum a beautiful farewell with this one, and hats(or buckets!) off to him for writing such an emotional yet inspirational piece to celebrate the life of his mother. Until you're reunited with your parents again, Brian, keep blessing this world with the gift that is your music. Buckethead forever...
I consider myself to be a pretty big buckethead fan, so it's crazy to think that there is still a whole ocean of buckethead I haven't even listened to before. So much gold everywhere :D
Tell me about it :D I've been listening to him for 6 years and I don't think I've even heard half his stuff yet. BH comes second to none in originality, I don't think I've ever seen him get accused of plagiarizing :P
He releases an album so frequently it's hard to keep up, but I've listened to every solo album. The beauty is: I have an entire lifetime of Buckethead to listen to. Over and over and over and over... Never gets old. Still haven't listened to all the collaborated albums. Got some work to do. Those chickens raised him well.
Teach them the way.... I am smiling.... I wanted to teach. This is probably along the lines of what I would do also. Be sure to post today's lesson and current Pike being listened to for the kiddies! You're an awesome teacher.
It's coming up on 2 years since my mom died. When I listen to this I can almost feel what he felt when composing this. The constantly racing mind... The fear. The anger. The sadness. Tranquility and complete chaos moment by moment. Everything coming in wave after wave, never showing sign of slowing. Thank you Buckethead for sharing this with us. Thank you for giving me catharsis.
There have been a few so called guitar GODS and I've studied quite a few in my 60 plus years but bucket head sits on the throne with very few others in the same room.
That solo at 9:55 blows me away every time hear it. I can just feel the pain and emotion that he felt when he wrote it. Lost my mom October 5, 2022 to Leukemia. This pike has helped in some strange way. Buckethead truly knows how to speak through his music
Lost my mum in 2019. Been listening to this song ever since then, every few days. It takes me on a rollercoaster ride. The good times, the bad times. The smiles whenever I did something nice. The pride she used to feel when I won a medal or an award for anything, and then, the yelling when I didn't do my homework on time or when I was on the phone for too long. The advice that i so badly need in my life now but have nobody to turn to. When nothing else makes sense in my life, this music makes me want to continue living. I wish I could express my thoughts in words the way you can express via a guitar. Thank you Buckethead for sharing your music with us. Thank you Nancy Carroll for giving us Buckethead.
The tracks on this CD are: 1. "N" 2. "Y" 3. "C" 4. "4" 5. "ev" 6. "er" This guy truly is a genius. I am so happy that I am alive at this time so I can listen to his great music over and over again.
To me, this is Buckethead's masterpiece, I mean, he doesn't just created a nice half and hour song, he made every single second epic and worth listening. It's like every note he plays is loaded with tons of emotions and feeling. Love this man.
There are no words to describe this awareness of playing the guitar, the harmonic fields he uses, only he transports us to a dimension never seen before. I'm 69 years old and I only listen to Buchethead. God give him many more years to live.
I actually saw buckethead when he was with guns and at the time thought he was just some weirdo... I just discovered his real music, I watched/heard the interview with his therapist and am so humbled at my poor and judgmental attitude I had. What he can’t express with words he does through guitar so masterfully 🎸
This man is a genius. Great to see so many positive comments. I'm 70 years old and still cry when thinking of my mom. When I think of being beat 3 or 4 times a day aways makes me cry. Play good stuff- Play Buckethead.
so beautiful. I love my parents I am grateful for having them in my life everyday my dad is fighting cancer always love mom and dad. life is beautiful bucket head thank you for such beautiful music
For reals...who are the 279 soulless zombies who, in what could only be described, as state of complete & utter madness & total loss of sanity actually give a thumbs down to this Pike? Are freakin' kidding me?!?! You notice the Pike doesn't actually end, it just fades away, as if BH had more, even desperately so, to say to his mom....
And by the shear luck and the ABSOLUTELY fantastic staff at house of blues Houston, buckethead signed my guitar the other night... I feel super lucky and incredibly indebted to them. Thank you and thank you buckethead!!! Made me one super happy guy. I left out one thing. Buckethead, you are simply the best guitarist I've ever heard and I've heard many live. You also seem like a truly genuine nice guy and that show was unreal!!! Thanks man if u ever read this!!
Holy shit. That's all I can say when I hear something like this. It's so earnest, so sincere and so emotional. An utterly moving tribute to someone you know he loved very much. You can feel it. He makes the guitar say more than words ever possibly could.
Possibly THE best, most amazing guitarist, and this may be THE most amazing song I have ever heard in 64 years of living. Wow. I like to pull up a list of dozens of his performances, put it on auto-play, plug my laptop into my surround sound system and just turn him loose for the entire day. I would love to know this guy. This is Genuine Alien Genius. What a tribute to his Mom.
I am 66yrs old been into Buckethead for about ten yrs now. Fortunate to see him twice in Houston. I have seen many a outstanding guitarist in my life but when I leave a Buckethead concert I think I've just seen the greatest guitarist in the world.
I have to agree , I'm 66 also , saw all the great guitarists from the 60's to the present , I've seen BH twice , I'm just blown away , no one else compares
Grant SIRBALLBAG Im really quite fine with Buckethead living under the radar and im sure he'd have it that way too. Pretty much every guitarist worth their salt knows about him and has mad respect for him. Aside from that the reason the garbage music nowadays is so popular is because theres so many stupid people. There is a very different cut of people who would attend a Buckethead concert compared to a Lil Yachty concert (If that heap of ass even performs live), and personally id much rather be around the Buckethead crowd.
Zoran Lozanoski Totally agreed, one of the best ways to prove for those who say that buckethead is just a shredder without emotion, that he is an lake of feelings. This piece is pure emotion from 00:00 to 28:36, you can feel it in every note !
Fingerstyle Matt somebody said buckethead has no emotion? are they fuckin deaf?? that's like saying the ocean has no depth..of course it does! some people KILL me! whos music has emotion? niki manaj?
Funny thing is I don’t see this song as a lament, but rather expresses those happy memories Buckethead had with his mother. Through this song I can picture Nancy Carroll as a loving, cheerful and energetic woman. May she rest in peace.
The fact that this pike is dedicated to his late mum tells me that this is the kinda playing that Nancy loved, and for that reason alone i fucking love this album
@@myriahjasmine1341 BH put out a crap ton of albums in a short period of time called his pikes - each numbered so you get an idea of where they fall in the series. This #65 is one of his best!
@@christinawalker8383 i just recently discovered buckethead and im obsessed... Something about his writing style, its not like the rest. I hear beautiful stories in his music. It like gives me feelings of loss and gain at the same time. Like bittersweet..sad yet inspiring, epic, ballot/melodic and hard at the same time. I really have never heard such beautiful guitar and straight touching and emotional writing style in my life. Hes AMAZING!!!
@@myriahjasmine1341 I totally agree! It becomes part of your soul - that's the best way I've found to describe it. I don't understand people who don't get it. It's just beautiful! You HAVE to see him in concert if you can!
This is def one of my favorites but there are so many, check out spirit winds, another great one, diamond in the rough or the space between the clouds, the list goes on and on, so amazing
Robert Harnish oh yes! :) I know! ...there are so many...pikes and albums so wonderful!!... Its hard to keep track on his music because he is a machine that never stpos creating music is really unbelievable!!!.,, and I love everything he makes! ...but this pike has a very special and profound meaning to me ....that's why is my favorite! :)
This song is probably of the very best for a musical ear, especially as the technique is filled with a vibrant and soulful sound that is unmatched by most guitarists, Buckethead is of the best songwriters/ instrumentalists.......
it looks amazing. but imo, im not a tattoo-person, but i think it'd look better if it's like on the arm itself from the down side. or a bit upwards. or on the shoulder muscle.
Back in 1987 I went to a backyard party (maybe 50 or so guests) in Chino Calif to hear a band called the Deli Creeps with Brian Carroll on guitar (later called buckethead) he was 18 at the time and already insanely talented , I knew I was seeing someone who would become one of the greats of all time , already wearing that same jason mask back then , but no KFC bucket yet , what a show.
There have been great prolific composers before Bucket (Mozart, for example), and there will be more afterwards, but such people don't turn up very often.
Too many kids grow up rebelling against their parents, I get it, it's part of life to be self determining, I didn't really appreciate my parents until I had my own son and thank God I was able to give back to them and let them know before it was too late. Moms and Dad's aren't perfect either but would run into any danger to help their kids.
Literally Bucket's best album ever. No other piece of music has ever given me goosebumps so big as part 22:04-22:16. Dont even remember the amount of times I've gotten emotional over that part, it's just perfect.
Lost my Mom year ago today, wasn't yet acquainted with BH at the time. I damn sure made it a point to listen to it tonight tho. Love you mom. Been 3 yrs now since mom passed, I think about her most days. Listening to this is so uplifting despite the loss.
This is definitely Buckethead’s best song, his ultimate masterpiece. One of the most beautiful musical pieces I’ve ever heard. If anyone wants to know what Buckethead’s music is like, don’t show him 5 fast songs and 5 slow songs. Just show him THIS😍.
I once had this idea of a guitar song building up to an intense flow of lick after lick, just building up until it exploded into an ever more intense burst of energy that just keeps on exploding and going on and on and on. Then I heard this one and realized Buckethead did it. Wasn't a shame really - he did it so much better than I ever could have.
I posted here this masterpiece 4 years ago. But I also lost my mother 18 days ago, the pain and sadness is bad, I completely understand the sadness of Buckethead. Rest in peace, Mom!

Sorry to hear, but hang in there, bucket-buddy... Just put up the volume on this one and let it all out... Merry XMas!

God bless
what the fuck

This is honestly some of the greatest music I've ever listened to.
I just lost my Dad today. It was only natural that I play this album to help me work some emotions out. Do yourself a favor and hug your parents, tell them how much they mean to you, and take time out of your day to spend some quality time with them and have some real fun with them.
Im very sorry to hear about your loss. Just checking, hows it going? Lots of love and strength from Germany :)
Hope you feeling better by now.
He couldn't stop playing even at the end of the song. Its like he doesn't want to let go of her mother. That what we called true love. 😥😥
Imagine him weeping behind the mask when doing the solo...

Only a few in the world were lucky to run into buckethead's music in our lives...
Played "It's a small world" and "When you wish upon a star,"
for our benefit and the fact that he loves Disneyland:)
Buckethead is a Genre. When some asks me what type of music do I listen to, my answer is, Buckethead
Thats the point , Berlin Steve loves Buckethead ❤❤❤
Dear Buckethead,
I feel your humor
I feel your sadness
I feel your intensity
I feel your satire
You are a true artist
All the layers and textures
I can see the paintings in my mind
Your tentacles are notes of power
You are a product of all music has to prosper
The complexity of your mind!!
The perfect blend of rhythms and melodys
I understand it all
I respect all the masters and innovators of wood and wire
But you are the GOAT

I would retire after this song😆. There's nothing left over to reach musically. He has reached the holy grail of a composition. Thanks dear BucketGod!
I’m hearing ya! It’s pretty fkn unbelievable eh!
I think he has essentially not topped the cacophonous grooves which he laid down in this song.
This song really rewards you for being patient and listening to the whole thing
I know right?
@markus warner this song never ceases to amaze me
So true
Patience is a lost art. I think it's safe to say that Buckethead is a musical prodigy/genius and that Hold Me Forever is more like a fully realized symphony than merely great Rock and Roll. The way it builds tension throughout, and that it has recurring themes, gives the impression of being created by a classical composer. If Rock and Roll is your religion, Buckethead is a GOD. His mom must have been really special, to have this dedicated to her.
Coming back two years later it astounds me how much there is in just this song.
@@robosing225 Oh that guy is extremely skillful.
You are a leyend to have this kind of music taste.
Carl H So cool that you have had the honor of seeing BH 3x! I hope we will once again experience the genius that is Buckethead here in Nashville!

I am 66yrs old been into Buckethead for about ten yrs now. Fortunate to see him twice in Houston. I have seen many a outstanding guitarist in my life but when I leave a Buckethead concert I think I've just seen the greatest guitarist in the world.
Am new to buckethead so I have a lot of catching up to do but so far this song is my #2 and Aunt Suzie #1 and will be played at my funeral. 😎
I have to agree , I'm 66 also , saw all the great guitarists from the 60's to the present , I've seen BH twice , I'm just blown away , no one else compares
As a 23 year old buckethead is the cure to this sickness that is called music in the charts how is buckethead not idolised like kiss
This album is truly a masterpice, something indescribable about it and i posted here, i hope to be the world's most listened !
Thank you
Buckethead is God
DIO Z
I am from Macedonia, Kicevo town.
Zoran Lozanoski Totally agreed, one of the best ways to prove for those who say that buckethead is just a shredder without emotion, that he is an lake of feelings. This piece is pure emotion from 00:00 to 28:36, you can feel it in every note !
Fingerstyle Matt Totally, I've heard this for first time today and it makes me cry right now
Fingerstyle Matt somebody said buckethead has no emotion? are they fuckin deaf?? that's like saying the ocean has no depth..of course it does! some people KILL me! whos music has emotion? niki manaj?
The number of awesome riffs on this track would be enough to build 3 or 4 sucessful albums of a rock/metal band.
Funny thing is I don’t see this song as a lament, but rather expresses those happy memories Buckethead had with his mother. Through this song I can picture Nancy Carroll as a loving, cheerful and energetic woman. May she rest in peace.
The song is a journey man
The fact that this pike is dedicated to his late mum tells me that this is the kinda playing that Nancy loved, and for that reason alone i fucking love this album
Hi, whats pike mean? I keep seeing that.
@@myriahjasmine1341 BH put out a crap ton of albums in a short period of time called his pikes - each numbered so you get an idea of where they fall in the series. This #65 is one of his best!
@@christinawalker8383 hey thanks so much.
You HAVE to see him in concert if you can!
this IS DEFENITLY MY FAVORITE PIKE!!! ...the emotions on this pike are behond words!! ....amazing!!
I agree there is definitely some soul from the heart put in this album.
Robert Harnish Is there an album called space between the clouds? Cause I can't find it. Listening to Spirit Winds as I write and I'm already hooked!
You are correct.
Listening to the song and read "In memory of my mom Nancy York Carroll" made me cry, thanks Nancy for your beautiful contribution to the world.
this dude is unreal man. truly, it's brought tears to my eyes.
Loh Pro I agree - absolutely phenomenal playing. Is he actually of this earth.......
Take him a gift to the next show. Walk right up there
Absolutely I don't blame you
This song is probably of the very best for a musical ear, especially as the technique is filled with a vibrant and soulful sound that is unmatched by most guitarists, Buckethead is of the best songwriters/ instrumentalists.......
I have a tattoo of Buckethead on my hand and so many people ask who he is, I just say the greatest guitarist in the world today!!
I would slap them with that hand
FEEL THE POWER OF THE BUCKET!!!
In history, who could be better? No one I have heard and I am an old guy who loves guitar.
Fucking dope
it looks amazing. but imo, im not a tattoo-person, but i think it'd look better if it's like on the arm itself from the down side. or a bit upwards. or on the shoulder muscle.
You can quite literally hear his mom in this. This is the most amazing trib I've ever heard. ❤
wow, i was thinking the same thing .
@@normanhowe4938 i think i hear a back track of his mom speaking.
What a great woman she must have been, giving us the gift of joy through music. Thank you Mrs. Carroll
WOW!
So Brian was born around 1969. Wow!
You lucky SOAB!
@@DanzigFan-vq3zf 1964.
Michael Myers mask, but who cares what mask it is
One thing I love about Buckethead is that even his solo parts are so damn rythmic
A true underrated genius
Everyone asks "Why does Buckethead never speak?"
He does. THIS is how he speaks to us. Guitar is his language.
He speaks through herbert / head puppet
Facts
Whats beautiful is the language of music is universal and regardless of what language anyone speaks they can understand this song
Adding vocals to music was a mistake anyways!
Be silent and the earth will hear. Be loud and be ignored.😅
I cried hearing this. Beautiful
People like Brian are born once a millenium, I cherish this shit
he could be so popular if he wanted to, wonder if he has any regrets
@@aqua47flawless43 Probably not, he's in the spot where he prefers to be. No paparazzi, nobody trying to unmask him.
I don't think there'll ever be another one like Buckethead in the history of the human race gonna be honest. He's truly one of a kind
There have been great prolific composers before Bucket (Mozart, for example), and there will be more afterwards, but such people don't turn up very often.
What do u mean he could be popular if he wanted to?
He is very popular for his audience..
Your music cured my depression 10 years ago. Thank you Brian Buckethead Caroll !
