Those little locking pieces are essentially what I used on some solar panels too. They work extremely well. The look of the rack installed without the tent is pretty dang cool. Looks nicer than a camper.
I hope you guys had a Merry Christmas. We’re just getting back from 9 days in Florida. That rack system looks pretty sweet. Looking forward to seeing the tent and awning
Hey Brian (Dean here... PPCLaser). That thing looks pretty cool. I'll be anxious to see how this hoist works out and if it's more of a pain to try to hoist it off than its worth. I'm sure you've got it all figured out though! Before you get it all put together, you should ship me a few parts of this thing and other parts that you'd like personalized. I have a new laser (I have 3 industrial lasers now) that can do metal etching/engraving now. I could etch your logo, website or youtube channel, etc into the sides of the brackets. That would be cool! Then your info would just be there on all your videos! I wish this would let me attach some photos. I'll email you a few photos of some cool stuff I've been working on.
This is close to what I thought he was originally going to do. I thought he was going to put the tent on top of the cap which would make a lot of sense because now you still have a lot more dry storage space in your truck bed. Weight wise I get it . Look forward to see what he eventually ends up with.
From South Africa Morning Brian...first, compliments of the season to you and your family. May 2024 be gentle to you, and here's to many safe adventures and lots of fish. I'm not so lucky 2 days before my annual adventure I has a sudden medical condition that involves pipes pushed through unmentionable places for at least 3 weeks... no pity party, it is what it is Hope this approach's gonna pan out... and just to put a flea in your netherworld, is your truck 4x4 ? 😂 Here's to seeing you off-road adventuring, if not now, when you next upgrade 😂😂
Looks like a beefy rack! Can’t wait to see the full setup 👍 You may want to add lock washers to the fasteners without locknuts should help them from backing out over time.
Looks great looking forward to seeing the finished product with rooftop tent. Great video as always and I guess congrats probably the the wife on the new Explorer
Now you need to head down to Padre Island National Seashore. I was going to do a rooftop on the explorer ST but the panoramic roof can't hold more than 150lbs. Love the new setup. That is high quality for sure.
That’s an awesome bed rack. Love the look of it and the way it is braced. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the build! Hope you and the family had a wonderful Christmas!
This is awesome I must admit I hated the trailer idea. That ruins off road capability if you're looking at rough terrain to get to a more remote camping site. I was happy to see Mike get your topper shell and put it to good use.
subscribed! Any way you can tell me the exact length of the silver t-track mounting rails on the bottom of that tent? I'm trying to see if it will fit on my truck rack. Thanks. looking forward to the install on your truck.
Oh I forgot to mention. I follow you but this video didn’t pop up like normal. I just happened to find it scrolling through UA-cam! Wonder why! Just letting you know incase other followers don’t see it.
@@BrianWatersOutdoors yes the bell is on. Not complaining. Not sure why I didn’t get the last notification. I will have to keep a check on things. Just don’t want to miss a video
Did that on my Silverado. Yakima overhaul rack and a 23 zero 72 inch rtt. It’s solid and have plenty of t rails to mount whatever.
👍🏻👍🏻

I like that no drill rack. Drilling holes in thebedrails is not my thing.
Thanks for showcasing the rack.
👍🏻👍🏻
All you need now is some KC lights.:). Looks really good though - I really like that.
lol. Don’t tempt me
Heyy Brian hope you had a wonderful Christmas, waiting to see the finish stay blessed

You should look into the Inflated Truck topper.
I’ve seen those. Crazy expensive though
That’s pretty cool man, can’t wait to that thing setup!!!
😎👍🏻👍🏻🍺🍺
Thanks my man👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks👍🏻 the tracks are right around 5’10”
thank you sir!@@BrianWatersOutdoors
Brian, get you some allen bit sockets!
lol. I have a ton. Just too lazy to walk the 15ft into my shop to grab them…
Enjoyed The Video 👍
Thanks👍🏻
Will there be an issue with the bed rug getting wet when it rains?
Should not be. The BedRug is essentially plastic fibers that look like carpet.
What went wrong with your trailer system?
Did you do a dual battery setup in your truck?
No, just a single setup
Looks Great ...:)
