Up here in the north area, dealers don,t sell retractable anymore as they were getting too many complaints and angry costumers.. here we get feet of snow and ice under very deep sub zero cold for months.. we are not only getting snow, but it is a mix of snow and ice and slush turning into thick ice covered with layers of snow and ice.. in matter of days from December through out march.. so retractable is really not good here. Hard roll up are easier than retractable but still a pain..as you need to atleast remove the ice and snow for them to roll.
Yes you’re right! It’s hard in your situation with a retractable cover! A hard folding tonneau cover is the best option for winter conditions! I’m gonna do a list with this type of covers on this channel!
@@dougp8890snow is heavy when it accumulates on things. Too much snow can collapse roofs on buildings. Also freezing and thawing causes expansion and contraction. Winter sucks!

Hi there, and thank you for watching! Basically, that covers that are waterproof, also they are dustproof! For example look at this two items from our list: amzn.to/3O7vzFp and amzn.to/3LXkNQc
@@bestgadgets90 none of the covers you mention are waterproof. Most are only water resistant. Retraxx and BAK covers leak like sieves. Not a single cover you have in this video will guarantee they are waterproof. I have been looking for 4 years for retractable that is and it doesn’t exist.
@@jeffkimble8857 they're all pretty water-resistant. NOTHING is waterproof, do you should just stop your 4 year long search. If you need 100% waterproof, buy a van or a hard cover (which are terrible).
@@jeffkimble8857I’ve had a syneticusa retractable cover for over 2 years now and it doesn’t leak at all and I live in Oregon it rains all the freaking time. I spent quality extra time installing it making sure all my seals were perfect. Also the cover slates haven’t leaked yet either. So far it’s been great for 899$
Yes, you're right, sometimes it can be difficult to handle with ice-covered! But not all the time. Also, you can try a roll-up tonneau truck bed cover. We have a video of that! Link here: ua-cam.com/video/mjnIRsk79wk/v-deo.html

You rank the Gator Recoil #1, but based on my research you are showing footage of the Gatortrax MX which is more than 2x the cost of the Gator Recoil.

What problems does winter cause on retractable covers?

Does the Number 5 match with Tundra 2022? Thank you.
They say it matches with my 2010 Tundra.. don’t think it does on your 22

Hey Did you purchase Pace Edwards ?
I’m looking into cover Truxedo hard roll up, Retrax, Gator retrac. Haven’t made purchase as yet
I have the remote control tonnue cover for my 2023 titan xd pro4x

Come on, how bad is your voice that a robot is a viable option?
Where can I buy the brackets for a Sierra carbon pro bed
Why not buy bed cover/hard cap for those kind of money
Limits what you can do with the bed. Can’t drive with a cap up. Cant use a gooseneck or 5th wheel. Can’t load items taller than the cap raises….
Unfortunately, none of these will work when the top of these are covered in ice.
