I've had this machine for three years and it's brilliant....touch wood! It's called SAGE in the UK. Great video. You must descale and keep it regularly cleaned, changing the filters every so often..
nice vid, but what are the settings for the dose? how did u got 16g??, I fixed the screw on its lowest point, even tried different basket (14g) but never got lower than 18g. and for the froth settings, what is the froth level on the vid? bc on the comments u said 3 and then u said 7 :)
I just came here after my 532572309582st fail in latte art. I have the exact same machine, but my milk always becomes super foamy and useless. What kind of milk did you have? Degrees in the machine? Foam-level in the settings? :D Greetings from Sweden!
Hello! Haha, yeah, the type of milk definitely has a big affect on the texture.I just use whole milk for mine. Unfortunately, I'm currently on a trip away from home so I can't see what the milk temp is set to exactly but I believe it's 157'f or so and the foam-level is, I believe, 7. When you say super foamy, is it like bigger bubbles/foam?
@@MrExitStrategy Hi and thank you so much for answering. :) Yeah it is superfoamy on top and watery underneath. Half cup won’t blend with the coffee and stays on top like a snow man. 😄 The rest dissapears in the coffee.
Too little milk would cause this as the tip of the wand would be close to the surface making big bubbles. Make sure is at or just below the bottom of the spout form. This is little less than half jug. Put your jug in the fridge and lower your froth to 4 or 5.
@@haunthunterify Thank you! I will try that. About the wand too close to the surface, i have also tried the manually foaming. Then i can dip the wand to the bottom (lol). No difference there though. But i am quite sure that i generally suck at latte art.
I've read somewhere online that people are saying after owning this machine for 3 years it dies just after warranty expires is this true and how can we avoid this damage?
@@americanprincess851 Correct, I perform weekly cleaning and maintenance on mine and still works as good as the day I got it. I've had mine now for 3 years!
Do you get the feeling your only a manual extension to the very automated process? Does that "grind" your ego a little bit? I'm really Interested in this machine or the non touch version because it's little more analog visually 😝. I would like it because it makes really good barista like coffee if dailed in correctly apparently, is very convenient and clean too! Plus my wife doesn't want to learn all steps for using a "regular" semi-automatic machine like a rocket etc. My home barista buddies are all like.. "naah, it's no fun, the machine does all the tricky work, no hobby, no learning curve etc." I see it that I haven't much time to fuss around and it makes very good competitive coffee without a mess... And I drink mainly milk composition coffees.. No espresso...
I do haha and I think it was their intention: make it mostly automated and let the human do the only things that machines don't typically do well and let them have a little bit of fun doing latte art/etc so they can feel like they have achieved something other than just pressing a button and getting a boring cup of coffee :)
Very nice, although I did not have the funds for the Oracle, I did however go with the Barista Touch. I have to learn how to dial in beans and figure out which work best. Help a newbie out y'all. What is the ideal setting for the absolute best silky milk for latte art? I'm using the factory settings and do not have an understanding of how and why to set accordingly. Using Horizon milk (Love it) but milk froth to bubbly like it has too much air. Help
I almost went with the Barista Touch too, but decided to go with the Oracle Touch instead. As for the milk, I've found the temp around 155 and level 4 to be the right texture for me on the Oracle Touch (I use Costco Organic Whole Milk). I think you'll have to play around with it a little bit; I'd try to decrease the milk "texture" level to help with the bubbly texture.
One more question... Did you get the grams down to 16-18 with the allen key method? Or can you set the grind amount in the touch variant? As far as I've seen, you have take out the integrated grind leveler an "lower" it. True? P. S. Thanks for cool straight forward vid!! Nice!
I haven't changed the actual setting on the grinder itself, I believe it's set at 6, but I did just get a new bag of beans and have dialed it in at 25 (on the UI)
This is the one I got: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00W9329M8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Though it's a bit pricey, I love the machine and use it every day! I'm sure you'll love it.

that looks great and makes me want this more!
it's a great machine. Highly recommended

Whats the temp you used for the milk???
I think I have it set at 145'F

I usually set it at level 3 and always use whole milk

I certainly hope not! haha. I have only had it for a few months, but I guess we will see!
I heard that if you do the proper maintenance on this machine that it should last for years.

What did you do with the unused milk?
Didn't have much left at all, so I just threw it away

Just got this and I noticed it - like yours - makes a loud vibrating/buzzing type noise when extracting. Is this normal?
It does vibrate a bit and certainly makes quite a bit of noise, but I'm not sure about buzzing noise though...
You should warm your portafilter before brewing
I agree!
What type of camera did you use for filming ( the one that could be seen on a tripod) ?
it's the DJI Osmo Pocket

That is true. I did adjust the tamping fan. You can't adjust the amount through the UI, gotta take out the tamping fan connector to adjust the height
What size have you grind it ? I tried 3 is too strong

What grind setting do you have it at?
It varies between the types of beans, but currently I have it set at 31. You'll want to dial it in to your specific beans though
More latte art vids! I just got this bad boy. My milk is set to 140F froth: 3. Getting better at latte art day by day. Made my first heart today lol
Nice!! Would love to see it! I haven't improved much since as I've been travelling/away for the past few months.
Nice video
Nice machine but who has time to measure and do all that extra stuff 😮
Only the first few times when you get new beans. Once it's set, it stays pretty consistent ;)
You’re drinking hot milk buddy...that’s not a latte
Not enough coffee
