I purchased three pair of SUPERBLAST when they came out man let me tell you it save my legs/knees/ ankles /feet /back and look incredible and I still to this day never will purchase another pair of walking/running shoes for the rest of my life from 237lbs to 189lbs hands down for the record the best walking/running shoe of the decade !!!
Superblast is absolutely amazing shoe. Can't wait for v2.

I saw running warehouse interviewing someone from ASICS about this shoe, and the ASICS rep said the magic speed 4 is still mainly ff blast plus with a drop-in of ff turbo. So, it sounded to me like maybe there’s a puck of turbo in there but most of the midsole is ff blast plus.
Yes, I saw that and I wasn't clear if it was a puck or a full layer of FF Turbo. Definitely, seems like it's mostly FF Blast+.
@@kuriosites yeah believe in the run’s review confirms it’s just a small piece of turbo in the forefoot.
Scratching the Magic Speed 4 off my list of possible purchases. Good work guys with getting the facts on the midsole.

I think the Magic 4 is Superblast with a plate. I was dreaming a few months ago what the Superblast with a plate might feel like… Magic 4.
It’s not.
Wake up and have a cup coffee. The Magic Speed 4 only has a small puck of PEBA, not a full a bed.
Regarding the edge+ comparison with the magic speed 4, would you say the 2 would complement each other in a rotation?
Sizing - Is the Magic Speed 4 same sizing as the Edge Plus? (Superblast and Novablast I went half a size down but Metaspeed Edge plus and Sky plus TTS).
Thanks for the last 2 or three comments on the Magic Speed. It's great when you comment on lateral bias and medial bias, too for that matter. I need a neutral shoe that stops lateral movement and more volume is appreciated. And the price seals it. I always thought that the first Magic Speed had the best forefoot rocker.

for me the superblast is always iffy in rainy conditions how is the magic speed in wet conditions?
Does ASICS intentionally not make enough shoes? The Super Blast while “available” is only available in 3-4 sizes (I know it’s coming out with a new model in July, but who knows if that will fit me as well as the current model) and the Metaspeed Edge Paris is currently only available in a 3.5 and 4… makes me want to start using other brands, simply because I know I can actually buy them when needed.
My understanding is that Asics was completely overwhelmed by demand. They sell out within minutes all over the globe.
Is superblast ok for short runs with a mild calf sprain?

Does it support foot with High Arch for AMS4?
Plate flexibly - I have the Edge Plus but I just can't run slow in it so I end up hurting my Achilles Tendon and low calf muscle because the plate is so stiff. Is there more flexibility in the plate of the Magic Speed 4?

Based on what I've read the Magic Speed 4 is the shoe for you. They still only want to go fast like the Magic Speed 3 but more stack and a bit more comfortfor the longer run. It's between the Boston 12 & Adios Pro 3 but as a trainer. The Magic Speed 3 for me was like a 5k distance the Magic Speed 4 is like 10k to Half Marathon distance at pace.

I’m on my 3rd pair of Superblast (so clearly like it) and STILL struggle to find the groves for about a mile in every run! I’m a forefoot striker, with a pretty clean stride, yet found the forefoot transition “clunky”. Hopefully Magic 4 is better for a super trainer.

Can you update with the SB2?
I thought the superblast was the perfect shoe for me for awhile especially at 215lbs but i found at slower paces not so much. Still love it, fit could be a little better and it's awesome at most paces. But for me the Hoka Skyward x despite its weight is the best I've tried yet for racking up all the slower miles. I like both perhaps because they're not too plush high cushion stacks and something soft usually doesn't work so well for a bigger guy like me. That's something I've come to learn after watching all the shoetubers over the years.

would you recommend AMS4 for track workout? or better take the takumi sen series?
Great question. Personally I’d rather take the Takumi sen as it is lighter and far more nimble for track

Do you recommend buy Paris edge or the magic speed 4?
Depends on who you are! You save $80 with the speed 4, get more stack height and a shoe that better handles training and workout paces. The edge plus is better for those who want a pure racer, but honestly the edge Paris is so much better you might as well get that if you want a racer
I tried the Superblast this spring after reading so many positive reviews and could not make it work with my mechanics. It was just too clunky. The best pace for me was up tempo but I have much better shoes for workouts so back they went.

The Superblast is a decent shoe but far from the best. I put 200 miles on a pair and sold them. I didn’t notice that much of a difference from the Novablast 3. Certainly not enough to justify the price tag.
I mean it's completely different shoe from Novablast. And you ran 200 miles on them and still managed to sell them. So there's that.
@@andrewh7599 the only big difference is the FF Turbo and that foam is firm and not very bouncy. The FF Turbo+ in the Edge/Sky Paris is light years better. If they put that in the Superblast 2 then I’ll revisit.
BITR says the Speed 4 is comparable to the Boston 12 which as far as distance would make sense as I don't find its a great shoes past half marathon distance.

I dont understand the magic speed series, going from interesting to stifff to exciting to confusing. So much difference in the series. Magic speed 4 with this much stack and plate makes it so similar to other super trainer. Magic speed 3 was such a great 5/10k shoe. I just think it was such a great shoe. I have asics s4 and i believe it is so similar to magic speed 4 just less stack. But s4 has a layer of turbo and i think magic speed 4 is small section of turbo, if i am not correct. Plus s4 has motion wrap! S4 for can handle HM/10k. Superblast, i think it is great shoe but is totally different to magic speed series. I dont find superblast outsole durability as good as magic speed series. Curious to know where superblast2 will sit considering how much changes for magic speed 4.
Superblast is king - I can't wait for ASICS to mess up the formula as they ALWAYS do with their *improved fit

Superblast has not been a good long run shoe for me. I'm pretty light and I don't put a lot of power down on my foot strike so I think I'm not compressing the foam enough to get over the forefoot. Too bad because it's a comfortable, well built shoe.
How much do you weigh / height?

I don’t understand why people what these two shoes compared. Superblast is a do it all shoe. The magic speed is not. Totally different price points.
I always hear how stable the Superblast is. This is not my experience.
Can you still buy Superblasts??
ASICS are the best shoes, I never sustained any injuries ever since I started using ASICS running shoes over a year ago ❤
