Just hit 600 miles on my first pair of superblast. I have been rotating in my new pair over the last month to get past that 50 mile break in period i experienced with the first pair. Honestly have to say even after 600 miles the shoe looks great, still feels pretty good and is still an easy pick for anything less than 6 miles. But after that i can feel the lack of pop compared to my new pair. Still my favorite shoe of all time all the way up to 20 + mile runs. Worth every penny.
Agree. I put 400 miles on my first pair of SB, have about 150 on my second pair…3rd pair is waiting in the wings but might sell them on eBay and get the SB2 when they come out. Still use my first pair of SB for social gatherings and wearing out and about.
Damn you! I read the article about the Neo Vista on your website, and I'm a huge fan of the SC Trainer! My current pair has over 300 km, and I have a fresh pair on backup. Now I want the Neo Vista too!
Love that Mizuno is getting back in the game
Been using them in my shoe rotation since 2010. They are the king in durability when putting in the miles
They've been in the game w/ the Wavesky series.
Sb series = mainstream
Neo vista = wildcard
Both excellent super trainers ❤
Mizuno is so underrated. To me they’re like Japanese New Balance as far as quality
Since we expect the Superblast 2 to be a bit softer with the updated FF Turbo +, comparing that to the Neo Vista will be very interesting. I should add: longtime lover of the Superblast and already have the Neo Vista on pre-order. :)
Having worn Superblast 1&2 side by side briefly (v1 with 360 miles and v2 brand new so stiffness and softness were hard to gauge) I can’t say I noticed a massive difference compliance-wise in the second version. Better (softer) upper, filled-in outsole grooves (no rock catching), and just slightly more responsive midsole seem to be the changes but nothing big
@@loganthralls Good to hear the upper is better and hopefully somewhat better traction on the wet pavement. SB couldn't have been improved much to me!
@@loganthralls how does it compare to the NB4 in terms of softness in midsole? Also, does closing those outsole gaps affect the trampoline sensation? I really enjoy that in the NB4 so much so I use it as my gym/life style shoe in addition to daily training ofc.
I wore Neo Vista in a demo run yesterday. Neo Vista is a super soft shoe and without the plate it would be too mush. Plate is essential for responsiveness. Even if SuperBlast 2 is a tad softer, I don't think there will be that sense of softness. Neo Vista might be too soft for some.
@@TolunayOrkun Agree! I have put about 40 miles on my Neo Vista's already and on dirt roads, they seem too soft but on the roads, they are just right to me...
Great review, thank you! Have ordered the Neo Vistas
Because of your review, I think I am buying the Mizuno Neo Vista.
Over 400 miles on my pair of Superblast. I'm blown away by its longevity (and I'm not light). I've loved it as my LR and tempo run shoe. I have the Neo Vista on pre-order. I won't be mad if I re-up with Superblast (v1 or 2) alongside the Neo Vista for my combo meal
560 miles on my Superblast, still going.
@@RUN-SC good to hear I might squeeze out another 100+ miles!
Exactly the same here. 400 and Neo Vista here soon. Still the OG Prime X shoes (3 pairs) are going to far outlast the Sb for sure. 350-400 on all 3 pairs and they look and feel like I just got them...
My SB has 400 miles on it and still loving them! My Neo Vista will be in the first week of June. Excited to add these in with my OG Prime X for my fall marathons blocks that just started.
I’m all about the bounce, so I’m planning to get the Neo Vista at my local specialty running shoe store when it’s available
Thanks Doc.
Have both, Mizuno Neo Vista my new favorite ❤👍🏻✌🏼
The Neo Vista will ship June 1, the SB…. Who knows… seems like Mizuno helped make my decision for me, based off of availability.
Superblast 2 is released in the US on July 1st plenty of confirmed leaks.
@@Fozzee.1970good to know, I have the V1 and love it, love it so much I want a second pair ha. So I guess I’ll have to wait for the two and hope they don’t mess it up!
@@Fozzee.1970 already in the hands of reviewers
SB may release in July but availability is a completely different story. ASICS can't seem keep common sizes in stock...EVER. And, colorways are meh mostly. I'll still buy SB 2 if I can but Neo Vista will be here soon
Cannot wait to get a pair of the Neo Vistas! The Superblast is a great shoe, but to me it doesn't hold a candle to the Prime X Strung 1, which is the best shoe I've ever worn.
I’m on my second pair of Superblast what an incredible shoe!
I wonder why shoe manufacturer cut out the foam where our foot lands... SC trainer and elite used this design and many reviewer says when the foam deteriorate at the midfoot, the problem starts where they feel the plate directly. New balance has moved away from this design in their latest version.
I wish I could still find the SC Trainer V1 ...
Will purchase another pair of SB but it is out of the market for months and it seems they don’t want to restock them again :😢
i love my superblast and preordered the vista. Now I will say the only gripe 200 miles in with my superblast is that the upper has stretched out a bit from the first 100 miles making me have to double knot to keep the laces from undoing themselves. has happened on previous asics shoes too just really weird
Neo Vista sounds great but I'm going to hold out for Superblast 2.
Wife’s gonna freak and not in a good way, but I’m getting both SB v2 and neo vista 😉
hahahaha
look forward to the update SB2 vs neo vista next month
starting to feel like its a rumor of july 1st launch, zero news directly or even from any online reviewers yet. Lets see after memorial day wknd if they are ready to start the advertise campaign.
plus the first 2 colorway are ugly, but that wont matter to Asics sales at all. SOLD OUT.
Well, waiting for the European release. That is going to be my first Mizuno.
I already have 3 pairs of Superblast 😁
Do you have any comments on pace? At around 8:30-9 min/mile, will I be able to advantage of the stiffer Superblast or would it be better to have a softer shoe?
Loving my Superblast but the Neo Vista is really intriguing! How does the Neo Vista compare to the Hoka Skyward X & Cielo X1??
Matt, it looks like you recovered from the Mizuno news that the Neo Vista was EVA. And the EVA should have a long lifespan. I'd that right?
I recently got the SC 1 and it feels stiff and the fit is not great. Is the mizuno more of a rolling feeling like saucony?
Can you include in your reviews and comparisons if a shoe is good for or which shoe is better for Hallux Limitus / Hallux Rigidus?
Thanks
How is neo VISTA bounce compare Hoka Cielo X1, currently I'm using Cielo X1 as my super trainer.
iam a beginner heavy walker {107kg} + runner, already bought brooks adrenaline 22 glycerin 21 i feel they are less cushioned, should i buy vista or super blast , i want more cushioned shoes 🤔
Vista or try some saucing gel nimbus
Give me all the bounce!!!
sorry, no. not helpful at all in keeping me from buying more shoes 🤣. I retired the SC trainer v1 after 500k (foam died) and going strong in the SB after 600k, love(ed) both as long run shoes, seems like I need to get the Neo and then wait to see if SB2 is better than the one, but if I can find a SB 1 on discount I will quickdraw my wallet.
Hope Isabella will be fit soon, but then she should get a mic and comment on the customer experience for stroller pushing!
Quick question, neo Vista vs SC elite v4 which one is bouncier just walking and which one is more stable in slow run?
Matt if I am pronate on my heel inwardly and neuropathy hurts in my toes only which one is a better shoe? Thanks
Wonder why the Superblast is so expensive in the US. Hype?🤔
They are expensive + sold out everywhere in the world.
220 Euro here in Europe.
From a company POV: If people buy them so much that there is no stock - why decrease the price?
Superblast doesn’t come in a size 14 so my decision was made for me
Neo Vista 2 reminds me about Puma Liberate Nitro v1. Of course Liberate Nitro is a low stack shoe but I see some similarities (including the silhouette).
Hm neo vista sound fun 🤩
it seems like Neo vista is the better option of the two for people who have plantar fasciitis ... right?
I would think that the stiffness of the Superblast would be more helpful for you and prevent aggravation of the PF, but we need the Docs of Running to add the final word.
@@andrewh7599 Nah brother, stiff shoes tend to flare up my PF, thats why I run in Novablast 4, they are really a blessing for my PF, cause minimal post-run pain
Is there some sort of consulting you provide somewhere? Guessing UA-cam comments aren’t the best for this
What's better for a mild calf strain?
Rest
I will happily pick rocks out of the bottom of my SuperBlast soles. The one shoe to rule them all.
Wow…. video quality has dropped,
No Isabella??!1?
😂
We couldn’t tell if these were two related or unrelated thoughts 😅
@@DoctorsofRunning related, a very sarcastic comment! Great content as always! I was going to wait for the NB Balos for my next supertrainer but the Neo vista looks pretty compelling!
She’ll be back. Just a little sick and grumpy right now. -Matt
