Fun fact, thru-rider Gillian Larson and her horses have completed the entire PCT twice, plus the CDT, Arizona Trail, and Colorado Trail, and others totaling over 10,000 long distance backcountry miles! Proper thru-rides too, within the same year. She's probably as close to an equestrian triple crowner as one can get, since horses aren't allowed on the AT. The logistics of feeding and watering horses through certain sections is an added layer of complexity for sure, and makes it extra impressive that she's mostly been unsupported! She has a website with more info and journals for anyone interested.
Jason your doing a great job narrating. This beats anything on tv and you could do better than all the outdoor adventure hosts on tv. Hopefully someday someone will recognize your awesome work and put you on your on cable shoe😊 totally serious
Hey Jason! Thank the Lord Bigfoot was there to help you across the river. Always good to be out hiking with someone. You all be careful and happy hiking! 🙂
One of my fav stretch on The PCT - hiking the last several miles to Sonora Pass. Aw, what great memories! Thank you, Frozen. Hey, we do the best we can on any given day with whatever skills we're working on. You're doing great! I understood most
Oops!
..
most of the stories you so graciously shared in all the videos thus far. Thank you!
For what it’s worth 29 has been my favorite episode! I finally heard Big Foot get frustrated! Funny, but not funny… the views, storm, snow, trees, trail all seemed to present a raw ominous villain that you two haven’t seen in a 1,000 miles. Way cool Jason! Thank you!!
"I'm just too short for this crap. I'm soaked." We get by with a little help from our friends if the trail. Keep on...keeping on! Sage travels...
"Too much talkin', time to get walkin'." 😄 Maybe for you, but we really like the talkin' part! You ARE doing a great job, you ARE making sense.
Just keep walking 🐻🌲
The PTC is no joke. Beautiful but very dangerous. You and Big Foot be careful out there. ❤
Congrats on 1000 miles.
Congrats on 1000 miles! Seems like you're still doing great telling the story of each day here, even the exhausting and repetitive ones. I don't know how you find the energy to talk to the camera on days like that, but thanks for doing it.
The views are so beautiful, thanks for sharing.
You had a tough couple of days. You push through well and maintain really good humor! Love the videos!! Rock on!!
Some of the streams are so crystal clear its beautiful! This trail seems to push your body a lot more then the AT did.
Thank you for all your hard work on your videos while doing a thru-hike. That has got to be a lot for you. My husband and I love watching your videos together. Hard work for beautiful views, much appreciated!
Thanks for the effort of making these while hiking Frozen!
Beautiful scenery, but hard to imagine having much fun being cold and wet so often. Congrats to you and Bigfoot on 1000 miles, woohoo!!!
You're doing an excellent job, Frozen! Don't change anything!
Love the video! Every scene you showed had an awesome view!
You're doing perfectly fine on narrating. I can understand every video that i've seen from episode 1 to now keep pushing guys and Thunderbuddys 😅 Great job guys 1000 miles 🎉🎉🎉 amazing views amazing videos keep it up
Your videos are great… epic.. so enjoyable
Can I get a woo-woo?
I woo when I feel good on trail. 😂
You’re keeping it real my friend! Tell the truth and it prepares every other hiker for what to expect
Killing it dude!
you almost made it out of the sierra without a storm/ oh well// and hooray for 1000!!
Thank you!
Hey Frozen how's it going out there on that trail from the video it looks like you were doing fantastic keep up the great work and to Bigfoot it looks like he got your ice ax but then again I could be wrong on that one and tell him good job as well You both are doing fantastic work on this trail You really are keep up the great work
Thank you, Frozen, for continuing to keep everyone updated on your great adventure. The footage is wonderful and so is your commentary, so don't worry about us. We're all happy for you. And I love to see you smiling through it all.
You and Bigfoot got this keep going!!!
Congrats 1000m!
I’m doing the JMT soon so have been practicing with the BV500. Ug. The only place to put it is on top and 9 out of 10, I hit my head with it while getting my pack on. Also, as I hike, weight shifts and it literally does or almost falls off. I do not have this down.
Narration is fine…you are doing a fabulous job…those river crossings are wicked! It’s difficult enough to hike these miles, much less create a movie out of it. Always, your safety first!!🥾🥾⛺️😎
You are doing a great job filming and narrating. Most of us couldn't last but a few days hiking that trail. Not to mention trying to document it. God Bless and keep on adventuring. 👍🙂🙏
Great video’s! You might have tried this already, but have you considered carrying your food bag in your pack and strapping the bear canister empty on top? It’s worked for me in the past. I always hate having all that weight on the top of my pack. ✌️
Zero complaints on anything with these videos! Look forward to every one of them. Thanks for taking the time to pull the camera out and putting a video together!
I'm also following Rach and Dan Outdoors. Day 79 is inspiring to see the easier and beautiful trail that lies just ahead for you two. You are getting there!!!
Yes, only hikers can appreciate the pain of putting on wet socks.
Wow what a challenging day again! You are doing a great job, both with the hike and the videos so please don't stress about the vids or narration!! We appreciate all your hard work and the exceptional quality of content you are managing to get out while on trail 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Love the narrative. You tell it like it is. Have not honestly seen or heard the real level of hiking the pct except for you. The water crossings are terrifying. Like Maine in huge hi-water crossings
Fantastic job with the videography and narration. I love the shot of the starry sky. Be safe out there!
Footprints and buttprints
2:15 Frozen wooing Bog Foot? Not a turn I saw coming!😉
Congrats on 1000!
Thanks!
Ty
4'8" here. Would not like the crossings!
Long story short, hahahah. Sobo the only way to go. PCT SOBO August 1st to finish my Triple!
Seeya on the trail..,
Roadrunner
It’s crazy that the first part of your journey you had to plan around access to water, and this part of your journey you have more water than you know what to do with.
BTW how does it taste? I always loved high altitude streams.
Wow that does not look easy.
Enjoying your PCT videos! Followed you on the AT when my son ('Flat Out', Chris from Maine) met up with you on the NH/Maine border. Are you still a fan of DELIRIUM! How do I find dates that match to DAYS?
Do you hang the bear canister?
