Truly beautiful country. Your lens protector did its job. Enjoying your vlog. Thank you.
Beautiful scenery, and you have such a great attitude! I look forward to your videos every day. They are a joy to watch. Keep on keepin' on!
Those passes are making you an expert at snow & ice. Good job 🐻🌲
Hey, thank you! Just when I thought it couldn’t get any more beautiful you send us even more incredible shots!! Keep going buddy, keep going!!!
Possible tip on the knees, stretch out the Quads during the day. I can imagine them getting pretty tight and stronger. Can be pulling on the distal attachments (in the knees). Great journey so far! Keep it up.
Wow! This is some of the prettiest terrain thus far in my opinion. So beautiful! So many parts of the video look like you are walking in a painting ( Bob Ross)! Enjoy the happy trees 😊 I have enjoyed following your journey and also all the messages you get written on your packages! That's the sweetest! Family support is wonderful! Prayers for safety as you continue hiking and have a blast!!! Oh and Hi Bigfoot!!! I like him he seems like a pretty good guy!!! Take care!!!
That snow traversing is gnarly!
Love your videos! Keep em coming.
Hey man, just dropped in to thank you for the vids (you reminded us in the last 1 it ain’t easy).
I was Dx’d with autoimmune diseases over 40 years ago and you’re 1 of my inspirations!
Rooting for you along with your fam & other fans every step of the way 🌄
Enjoying the ride.
Splendid journey!
Some of the shots are just so beautiful. I especially like the one with the deer and the lake.
Looks like they stocked every flavor of StarKist Tuna and Knorr Rice/Pasta packs available.
Thanks for the resupply footage @KMN. They seem pretty well stocked. Makes sending by UPS or Fed Ex pointless. BTW, where's the crack on the lens? I looked for it and honestly couldn't find it. As for Ursacks, I love them. I have the Almitey model with the velcro top closure. The velcro closure seems stout enough to resist critters trying to burrow through the top. My only knock is that their usable volume is limited. I repackaged my food for a five day trip and was all I can do to get my provisions in. Had to leave my first day's lunch and dinner out and there was no room for snacks. Love following you guys; you guys are kicking ass. Keep it up!
I think it would be so much easier not to send boxes ahead too but I still might because food is so much cheaper where I’m from in the Midwest. So the only point might be to save some money.
I had to laugh when you first said you were at Sonora pass, especially since I know the most difficult part would be descending to the pass. That's notoriously one of the worst snow sections of the PCT. It's nice there is now a shuttle in and out of KMN. I spent a lot of time hitching a ride to and from it when I went through in 2018. Thanks for another great video.
also that the Pass is the road going east west/ hikers are up in the mountains well above the Pass. us auto tourists depend on the Pass opening to get over the Sierra from west to east
Hang up the axe time to watch for smoke n fires . River crossing , mesquite, hope you have a net , time for 24 hr challenge go hiker legs. 🎉
i know the milage is huge but i cant get over how quick thruhikers are getting through trailrunners. my brasher hiking boots have been resoled once and are on their 12th year of use.
What a day! Beautiful!!! Great lesson!
Brought back memories of my hikes..”three points of contact” is really important! Yer doing great. It was always such a relief to ditch that darn canister!! I never had any mice problems after Kennedy north using the hang method and bags.
Thanks for the detailed footage at the pit stops!
Yogi spotted on pinchnot pass.
Try Instant Coffee with those “Instant Breakfasts”. Ooooooo. Banging. Especially if you can grab Starbucks Dark Roast Instant 🤤
Yea been doing breakfast essentials and tasters choice coffee together.
Yer gonna look like a grizzly when you finish. Hair/beard is growing so fast! lol
you need a trim.. ya beards tuning into sa asquatch :) loving these vids man thankyou
Beautiful! Thank you! Hike on☮️
Ik heb dezelfde ursack en het is heel stijf en moeilijk om in te pakken. Dus ik heb mijn eten tijdens de dag in een dunne plastic odor barrier bag en dan in de avond doe ik die in de ursack. Ask Bigfoot to translate lol
Sign on front porch at Kennedy Meadows, “PCT Hikers, please take your stanky arse out back.” 🤣
Can I get a beer first?
For real 🤣
having done a lot of shorter hikes along the PCT/JMT etc// yeah, you really can smell them before you can see them hahaha// BRUTAL was meeting a Big Group of young workers from some program, they had been out working on trails for 5 weeks. Can't thank them enough for their work but WOW the smell coming from them. Really Bad.
@@potatothorn worst I ever smelled was picking up a PCT hiker who had cowboy camped on a golf course and got woken up by getting wet from the morning sprinklers. Nothing smells worse than a wet thru-hiker. He knew he reeked too, asking us to put all the windows down before getting into the car.
@@andymytys hahaha that's hilarious
It's the views for me!
kinda funny Sonora Pass is actually on the road going east-west /the PCT is up in the mtns above it// awesome job getting through the high Sierra, i imagine hiking is much easier now // i'm catching up on a few at once so ill just say here AWesome videos thanks for taking us with you
Hoping your knee issues don't persist. Safe travels!
Hey have really been enjoying your videos. Just wanted you to know bear cans are still required through the desolation wilderness to Donner Pass/truckee. Until 2022 everyone ditched their cans but I’m not sure why you got rid of your can? They passed this rule in 22’? I know you said you would hang your food but if you look at all the past years comments on FarOut the bear activity is very high in the desolation wilderness and they know how to get your food out of the trees. Hopefully you guys don’t get stopped by a ranger. Enjoy NorCal. It’s very beautiful and difficult at the same time. Lots of blowdowns last year. Anyways enjoy slowly not having snow in the next few weeks. Cheers Marmalade PCT 23’
See we read bear cannister, local hang, or ursack. Either way we are well past there anyway. Clearer rules should be posted at trailheads.
Touchdown - looks nice and cold !
It's so beautiful out there wow ❤the snow is no doubt exhausting tho
Thank you!
Nice video. That bear hang looked too close to the tree. Hope it worked out!
Go!
WOw, its just so bueitiful!!!
Let me know when you get to Stevens pass. I can give you a ride to Leavenworth and help you out with town stuff Ricochet
Beautiful scenery, thanks for sharing!
15:28 epic view. I slowed down as you panned across the cold case. Are there ever diet drinks or Gatorade zero … options with no sugar?
Yes you can get whatever you want usually.
Thanks!
Thank you!
PCT is beauty on steroids. The zebra snow too too awesome! You are seriously going to miss that beauty. You appear to be losing weight very efficiently. You are looking very “svelt”.
You and Roadrunner are hiking same miles, u both r showing same area's in your upload footage
We great job making it in, and more importantly OUT of the Sierras. 🏔️
About how many miles did the topos have on them before you ditched them?
Hey wait theses still yogi n boo boo , hey ranger Smith , hes wain for your pinic nap sack , hang em high says yogi n boo boo. Try some yoga 🧘♂️
Lunch on me.
Thanks dude!
