My friends make fun of me be cause I go out with 15 to 20 rods, one never knows what you will encounter while heading out, on the way to your fishing grounds, or while you are fishing, anchored in place. Before I leave my anchorage, I always drop a Cobia Jig and do a few casts. Cobia like to hide under your boat without being seen. Caught five giant Cobia last year, by doing just that ...

I have caught 200 lb of mahi in Puerto Rico on a full moon and it was 11am. 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ I guess I’m lucky
Been there as well. Go fishing when u can go fishing. So many variables. I love full moons as the ocean seems to void of boats on Saturdays. Lots of tricks to full moon fishing.

I literally just got back from fishing trip today was a full moon and we caught over 70 mahi mahi one after the other. They hit from 8am till 1pm
What power rod and what size real do you use for big mahi
A big spinning rig is good for casting,25lb test. A 4/0 casting reel and rod would be good for trolling(Mahi, Tuna, sailfish). I prefer clear mono.60lb.
