Dang brother...look at you “one man show getting it done” that’s awesome man! Great catch, you got that down too a science 👍 keep up the great work and Tight lines!
you have a great set up .. i had a boat like that once ,, the seat back would flip forward and you could sit facing backwards and you could watch your spread . i learned how to fish from a boat in that thing
we just went offshore last weekend here in texas and caught about 10 mahi about the same size as the one you caught. limited out on red snapper as well. how deep is that water you were in?
Bro, I've always loved fishing the pink and white feather lures for mahi and blackfins. So simple and so effective. Awesome info in this video bro!! Well done!!
I seen a new video up by you and it said Mahi in the title.....well I’m all in! I’ll look into some of those skirts you won, never hurts to have them for the next trip down there. Nice fish and super solo gaff job too. Best of luck on your upcoming surgery Wayne, heal quickly 👍
Way to go great Video and great appreciation for the life. I'm usually a solo artist trolling too 25 Roballo out of Sebastian inlet I live on the water there.
@@CProFishingWithWayne Yeah it's a redone older one with teak and new motors . If your interested in going out some day up here I'm down. Maybe you can do a video of the inlet. Logan
Sweet setup, I troll a ton of rods out of my small boat as well, don't need a giant boat and a ton of rods and gear to land some nice fish. Glad to support another great channel...posted some new vids up myself
Nice little Mahi, cool when you do that thing all by yourself. Whenever on the Island Aruba, let me know I'll take you fishing in the Caribbean waters.
How far do you usually go offshore, and whats the furthest you would be comfortable with? Im thinking of getting a 18” CC for Nearshore trolling. Keep in mind here in PR we have 500ft @ 1.5 miles offshore
Hi Francois I appreciate you watching. My boat is 19 feet and I have been 15 miles out in 500 feet. You should be fine as long as you don’t push it in bad conditions
I enjoyed the film. I would appreciate your advice. My boat 14' open with 15hp engine. I've just started trolling, should I put my lures (2daisychain) on and above my wake or back further deeper? I fish for travelly and barracuda. Sea conditions good I may get to Maui country.
I appreciate you watching the video. You want them behind the wake far enough so they aren’t obscured by the bubbles. Experiment at different distances. I would fish one after the first wake, one after the second, and a long line back 150’. I hope that helps
Dude I'd do anything to have a boat this size and fish that many rods.at the moment I got a 16' key largo with a 50hp force merc and a bimini top. half the year I can't even get outside the inlet at port Everglades cause it's too ruff.summertime this year hopefully is gonna be MY TIME.
Great video man! And so cool to see some new techniques! I’ve been flyfishing rivers but need to get into some big water here soon. Look forward to checking out more so I can keep learning from ya 😉
Awesome. You just showed me I can do this in my boat. I have a 22ft CC. Yamaha 200. Holds 75 gallons. What speed do you troll at for Mahi or Tuna? Stripers I troll between 3-5 mph... lately catching them at the higher end...4-5 mph...I'm out of Manasquan inlet NJ... Thank you. Be safe.
Hey thanks Keith I appreciate it. I troll on average 7-8 knots but it’s more about getting your baits swimming properly. Current, wind, weather, and bait type all play a factor. Stripers would definitely be a slower troll. Tight lines!!
This video was awhile ago but I still have the TLD 25’s on Ocean Master standup trolling rods. Caught the fish in this video on a TLD 15. I will put a TLD 50 in the spread now with the largest bait in the shotgun. Also I use my Talica for diving plugs.
Great solo trip! Super stoked to see you “back in action” my man!! Great video as usual. Hoping the Mahi will be down here In Key Largo soon! Thanks for showing us how you do it. - Capt. D
CPro Fishing With Wayne: My bad, I thought you were on the other side of that already. Hope all goes well and you are back in action shortly afterwards. - Capt. D
I usually troll 5 -8 knots depending on current, wind, and types of baits. It’s really about getting your baits to swim correctly. This was about 9 miles out in 180 feet
St Lucie inlet? That's my place, I have an 18 foot CC and never go out more than 150 feet as that's my limit on time and gas capacity due to refurbishing too small a tank. Nice video, I also never fish alone as the guys I take bring all the gear, works well for me. Be blessed. Kevin
Thank you very much. I zig zag the reef and ledge lines, or alongside a rip or weed line. Typically with the current. Against a strong current in a smaller boat is difficult.
Hello Coffe Music I’ve been fishing for 35 years. Biggest I’ve ever caught was a 400 plus pound Bull Shark. I greatly appreciate you checking out my channel
I fish a 19 CC SeaPro alone, put as many as six rods out and troll them by myself, make all my rigs, lures, rig all my ballyhoo.Lot of fun and a Chinese firedrill at times as well.
That’s awesome!!! I’m sticking with five for now but could definitely do six. Chinese fire drill is a very true statement. Thanks for watching. Tight lines
I was pulling all six rods once and came across a school of bait that had birds on it,well the birds saw my baits and grabbed a couple and tried to fly off with them,I put boat in idle to pull the lines it the two that birds screwed up,well the other baits dropped down and boom, all of them got hit at once by dolphin in about ten pound class, that was a firedrill for sure
CPro Fishing On a more serious note, the bag wasn’t the only reason I subbed. I also appreciate the insight, and tips you give. I’ve never caught a Mahi Mahi and I’ve been watching so many videos looking for tips and advice. Thanks 🙌🏽
My gosh brother what a sunrise! it's why i love getting out early to fish! Thanks for the trolling tips. How many rods are you allowed to have out at once?
You can put out as many as your boat will allow. Having outriggers allows you spread the lines further and add more Rods. The big sportfishers troll 8 to 12 lines
I take my 16 key largo out ft.lauderdale catching dolphin all the time.all the big boat rich dudes look at me like I'm crazy.my little boat still gets the job done just as good if not better than some of the idiots with too much money and time on their hands.
I fish out of Stuart but there really isn’t one area better than the other. It all depends on the migration. I have to go 8 miles off for the deep ledge where in Lauderdale it’s only a few miles. Focus more on depth, structure, ledges, current edges, and bird action. Where I live we catch them from 55 feet to over 1000 feet deep. It all depends on the time of year, weather patterns and all I mentioned above.
Had to go back and watch some of your classic videos about my favorite fish!!!!!
Thanks Buck!! Did you ever send me your mailing address for the giveaway?

Totally agree
I've trolled 6 rods on my 20 foot boat using outriggers. Worked out better than when we trolled 4 when I didn't have outriggers.
I agree. If I had outriggers I would troll 6
what is the name of the umbrella
just an umbrella rig. You can add any type of teasers to it. I now use holographic fish strip teasers. You can get them at Bass Pro

Your very welcome! Im doing great! Thanks for asking! Happy to hear you are feeling better and back out on the water! Have a great week and take care!
I know each boat is different depending on the prop wash/wake, but how far back are your baits roughly? I think I heard the shotgun is about 20'.
The shotgun is the long line. The flat line is the short line which should be in the clean water right behind the wash. 20-30 feet.
How long is your boat I got a 15 foot
19 but measures 18.5
Ok

News flash. Boat isn’t that small.
Trolling on an 18.5 foot boat in the Gulfstream is smaller than 98% of the boats out there on a daily basis. Hence, trolling in a small boat.
