Scotty Moore was great for two reasons: his guitar playing defined rock and roll and rockabilly. There were many talented musicians but where Scotty towers above the others is his selflessness which is extremely rare among famous people and celebrities.
D, That Joe Pass Epiphone sounded really good. I'm sure, somewhere in the cosmos, Scotty and Joe are trading licks! Thanks for your videos, they really make learning the parts easy.
I'm learning more about playing this style of guitar, important players and just how cool the scene is from your channel!!Awesome Damian, keep'em coming! The DVD is great-Thanks!!
I have both his Ultimate Rockabilly Guitar and his new Good Rockin' Guitar. I'd say the Ultimate DVD is for intermediate to early advanced players; I think the Good Rockin' DVD could work for a beginner who is comfrotable with tabs and scales. Between the two, Ultimate offers stronger, more in-depth lessons, but Damian is a good teacher no matter.
Good Lord man, you seem to have a wolverine on your face. Does it bite? Either way great lesson as per usual, and R.I.P. Winfield Scott (scotty) Moore III.

"Everyone wanted to be Elvis. I wanted to be Scotty."
- Keith Richards
I briefly met Scottty Moore and his Wife at the Irvine Hootananny. He was a genuinely sweet guy with no inflated ego.
A nice tribute to the great Scotty Moore. Well done Damien.

I don't know why Elvis didn't give Scotty a lot of credit for creating a sound for him
