I left a comment about eight months ago to say how much I enjoyed this vid, I watched it again today and It's still awesome, it's got even better, keep rockin' Damian.
Glad you liked the lesson and my poster. I've loved Minor Threat ever since since I bought "Out Of Step" on cassette back in the mid 80s. I'm big fan of Fugazi too. Keep on rockin' DAMIAN :)
Damian Bacci!! I bought your first rockabilly instructional video years ago and its help me become a better player over the years.. Thanks for the lessons. You're a great teacher
Questo maestro mi ha trasmesso la passione per questo genere musicale....volevo ringraziarti per tutto quello che pubblichi ed anche per la tua bravura....grande Damian.....🙏🙏🙏
I have Damian's DVD, and it is a fabulous teaching/learning tool! You will get more out of it if you are an intermediate or better player, but it is a must have for good rockabilly riffs.
Thank you Lindsay for the kind words. :) My Jump Blues DVD will be available soon. I know there are a lot of people out there who are waiting for it and it seems like the release date seems to keep getting pushed back farther and farther, but it should definitely be available this summer, hopefully sooner. I'm really excited about it. I think you'll really dig it. :) Cheers DAMIAN :)
Thanks for the rockabilly riff man that was so awesome and so quick and easy to learn , your an awesome guitar teacher thank you so very much , I wanna buy your DVD !!! Thank you
Hi Damian! I´ve watched your lessons since I´ve tried to play(rockabilly) guitar. In an older video you´ve shown a lick, that it´s a little similar to this one but you´ve chanched it for this lesson so we can hear and see how much power is in this kind of licks. For me, this one is one of the all time best rockabilly signature licks and if you are the creator of this lick you can be very proud that you are so blessed which your talent. And if anybody else is the creator, I think nobody could play it better than you.All the best, B.! This is so rockabilly, (it makes me sick :)!!!
Hi damian, i would like to know a little about your guitars that you play in your lessons & why you bought them. & why you chose them for each lesson. Thanks
Thank you for the comment. I'll have to make a video sometime on my gear & guitars. I usually pick a guitar that I feel fits best with the lesson. Keep on Rockin' DAMIAN
@@Damianblf hi damian, thanks for replying. The reason why i asked is being an ametuer recreational player it is realy important to rely on a orofessional muscisian to help guide us. Like you, our money comes hard! I would like your opinion on equipment to help guide your students ( me included) to making smart choices. Thank you very much responding to a complex question. Don day.
cool riffs as always man!a shoutout if you want todo a lesson of eddie cochrans 'scratchin',daryl higham does a good cover!would be appreciated as i cant figure it out!haha.cheers man!
That's a good question. Many years ago I broke my pinky riding BMX and it has never fully healed correctly and as I get older it's been getting more and more bothersome especially after playing guitar for hours a day like I do. So when I can I try not to use it and opt for other fingers if I can. But you should use whichever finger you feel most comfortable with. Glad you dug the lesson Cheers DAMIAN :)
Hi, can you recommend a cheap archtop maybe a used archtop dealer of some sort would like to get in to swing type guitar thanks for your great work here
Hi Andy Washburn & Ibanez make some nice affordable jazz guitars. Also Gretsch guitars just came out with the Streamliner line of guitars that are budget priced. Sometimes you can find good deals on Ebay. I've bought a few guitars on Ebay at decent prices and have been very happy with them. Good luck DAMIAN :)
Hi Rob I'm playing a X-175 Manhattan. I'm planning on doing a Q&A video soon and I'll definitely be talking about my gear and guitars. Keep on rockin' DAMIAN :)
Thanks for the reply and advice! Love your vids man. BTW do you know Zeke Turner? He solos on Hank Williams' Move It On Over...I really like that style. Hope you could talk about that as well. Cheers, and keep rockabillyin' )
What scale is Damien playing in? If it's the A minor pentatonic which has the notes A, C, D, F, G, then why is he including a C# (9th fret, 1st string)?
Hi Tony. I was played a mixture of the A minor blues & the A major blues pentatonic scale. The A major blues scale contains a C#. Thanks for watching the lesson. :)
i keep coming back to these older licks, they really rock
Awesome. Thanks Paul :)

10 points for the minor threat poster !!!
Hey Damian please make a video teaching rockabilly rebel (matchbox) with solos, chords & tabs.
Half the video is a commercial for his DVD. ....other than that.....it's a good video.
Hey Damian thanks for a great lesson. i was wondering, that's a pretty good stretch from the 5th to the 9th fret, why do't you use your pincky?

Is it a recently made or a vintage one ?
Nice guitar man! How would you compare it to a Gretsch Electromatic? Can't decide which one to get. Cheers
Gretsch Electromatic's are fantastic guitars. I've played many of them and I've always thought they were a great value for the money! :)
