You gotta watch Damian. If not for the lessons, then just for the change in attitude. Such positivity really helps in times like these! But damn, his guitar lessons are great too!
Damian, its always a pleasure to see you and to hear you play! You sound fabulous as always (even better) and your vidoe lessons are a blessing and an asset to the guitar community! Thank you so much!
Forever the Happy Warrior of Rockabilly! Coming up thru the ranks learning guitar in the 80s I was pretty familiar with pull offs. Lol damn good thing since its come in handy with rockabilly.
love your stuff Damien.I have little stubby fingers.I really admire your hands. They are built to play guitar.Your talent and love of music along with the perfect hands are a wonderful gift, thanks for sharing.Hope that's not too weird.😬 .
Thank you for this lesson, Damian. Like you say, it's a bit difficult at the outset but I'll stick with it. Thanks also for the inspirational message. Enjoy camping and take care !
It's funny, I was just working on an Eddie Cochran song with these kind of pull offs and I was struggling to get my speed up and I needed some encouragement, and you delivered. Thank you for the lessons and the good will!!! It's inspiring to hear that you struggled with pull offs once when you do them like they're a walk in the park.
Agreed! Thanks Damian, for revealing that you once struggled with this technique and it took a long time to get it down, that gives me hope, cause right now it does feel very foreign to me, since I seem to pick every note when I do leads, so this pull up stuff is new to me but I will continue working on it and see what happens and thank you for your great patient teaching skills and good camera close-ups to see what you doing, not to mention starting slow and easy to really figure out what you’re doing, that is very helpful. 🙏🙏😊
Your enthusiasm and iverly joyful nature absolutely terrified me at first . Besides that i like your lessons Do you own a spring reverb tank? Have you ever made one?
Thanks Damian. I was struggling with the 875 pull off in twenty flight rock. Followed you since the Ollie Vee lesson. I can't thank you enough. You have so many great guitars. Can I ask your opinion of that gretch single cut? I have been looking at the 5220.
bruh: I have followed your goofy, quirky, but always informed, passionate, historically based guitar videos since your great take on George Harrison's early work. I absolutely commend your growth into jazz -- which a number of the best rockabilly players had grounding in via the likes of Charlie Christian, and indeed that jazz sensibility influenced all of Harrison's stages (from "T'ill There Was You" to his post-Beatles "Learning How to Love You," et al.). Your forays into jazz solo guitar, drawing from players ranging from Tal Farlow to that monster virtuoso Joe Pass, shows how you've grown and deepened as a guitarist, a guitar tutor, and artist in your own right. Luv it all, Damian: the quirk, the tutorials, the playing, the jazzbo shout-outs: this be good rockin' tonite!
Pull offs on top two strings pretty easy now, G string bit hit and miss but the thicker three pretty much no chance at performance speed. I'd love to be able to do that Danny Cedrone lick on all six but have had to resort to just sliding my finger!! Any tips or is it just practice practice practice?
@@Damianblf thanks Damian , I really love your videos , I have been playing a lot of the riffs you demonstrate on your videos !.. great stuff , as for the guitar I found out which Gretsch model it was, thank you for getting back to me. I appreciate it. That is one very hard guitar to find because it’s so limited, but I have faith one day that I’ll be able to grab one.By the way you got an amazing collection of guitars 🎸.. thanks again .. Johnny 😊✋🏻
Damian- I’m confused. The chord shape you are showing in the lesson tab isn’t making sense to me. You’re showing the 1st and second strings fretted on 8, and 3rd and 4th strings on 7. But that makes the third string a D# which is flatting the third. Isn’t this making a Cm7? Anyway I can’t make it sound right. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.
Dig the Analog Alien Tee! Their Rumbleseat pedal is awesome for Roots and Rockabilly guitar players alike! Say, Damien. Any plans for another DVD lesson pack in the works?🤞😃
I'm currently working on a Jazz Blues course and also recording a bunch of Backing Tracks for practice that will be available soon. Thanks so much for watching. Cheers :)

Thanks for watching :)
I will give this a try but not sure if I can, well you know, pull it off. 😊
You've got this. Thanks for watching :)
Awesome tips!
Thank you :)
Brutal!
Hot licks for cool cats. I dig your style, sir. Thanks for the tunes.
Thank you for watching :)
This is exactly what I need. My pull-offs need work!
Thanks for watching. Keep on rockin' my friend :)
👍🎸thanks!
Thank you for watching :)
❤️🔥 love it
Thank you :)
It seems to me that the first E and B string pulls on 11 and 10 frets are more like hammer ons and pull offs when you increase your speed.
Your enthusiasm and iverly joyful nature absolutely terrified me at first .
Besides that i like your lessons
Do you own a spring reverb tank?
Have you ever made one?
I do not own a spring reverb tank. Thanks for watching
Nice one
Thank you :)
Thanks Damian. I was struggling with the 875 pull off in twenty flight rock. Followed you since the Ollie Vee lesson. I can't thank you enough.

Thanks for watching the lesson. My G5230 is a solid guitar for the price :)
Damian, Gretsch “Vintage V” necks or “Standard U” ??
Saudações meu caro, Demian!!!
Thank you for watching. Cheers & keep on rockin' :)

Great lesson as always Damian. Do you give either private lesson on zoom, or in person, I live in the area. Thanks again.
Currently due to my schedule I am no longer doing private lessons. Thank you for watching. Much appreciated :)

Damian love your lessons. What pedal for slapback delay do you use? BR from Holland.
I own a Nocturne Mystery Brain BS-301 Tape Echo and a Analog Alien Rumble Seat. I njoy them both. In this video I was using my Mystery Brain. :)
Now that's some secret sauce.
Thank you :)
Thanks Damian! Cool Cat! Whats her name?
I haven't even seen the whole video yet, but I'm seeing and hearing what I think is "the Eddie Cochran lick." 🤔🧐🎸
We used to say "Look, Gene Simmons!" when we stuck out the tongue on that Godzilla like the one on the hearth. Does his fist launch too?
Yes, his fist still shoots out. Thanks for watching the video. Cheers :)

Thank you :)
