Another AMAZING product with niacinamide and transexamic acid as the 3rd and 4th ingredient that ALSO help with acne (because of the azelaic acid) is the Tropicals Faded Serum!! It's also has shea butter, centella, Alpha arbutin, kojic acid, squalane and licorice root in it. It's MUST and has GREATLY helped me with acne, hyperpigmentation, and hydration 😍😍💖💖
One of my favorite antioxidants is green tea. Isntree and Benton have amazing green tea serums. If money is not an issue to you then the amorepacific vintage single extract essence is also another great green tea product. I actually wish Missha would release a green tea essence from their time revolution line. Or even I'm From, instead of that pear lol.
OMG you read my mind about I'm From! I don't understand why they haven't done a green tea line yet! The more novelty pear and fig lines were disappointing to me and get away from the heart of what they do as a brand.
Hey kelly! When I started my skincare journey during the pandemic, you were my holy grail, I went to your channel to find out what I needed for my skin. You were the most educated, or sounded like you knew what you were talking about! I never trusted anyone but you girl. If Kelly don't like it then I won't try it. Your word it bond girl. Love ya.
Yes!! I've been using the paula's choice BHA with cosrx propolis ampoule because it works so well! I also use TO argireline with that toner on occasion and it's great. I'll start using cica with pycnogenol now that's a wonderful idea, thanks Kelly 😊
Enjoyed these pairing recommendations! I was doing my skincare at the same time and took inspiration to use the Paula's Choice BHA and Wishtrend's Polyphenols in Propolis. Gorgeous glow!
@@alessandramilo2868 it does! It's anti-inflammatory and great for calming down breakouts without irritating the skin. I consider it a must have product.
Hi Kelly my current morning combo is the cosrx snail essence, a centella serum and the niod modulating glucosides - layering snail with the centella and the MG contains antioxidants and peptides. This provides a lot of comfort to my very dry, rosacea and eczema prone skin. I believe the MG also contains the pycnogenal within it's INCI list, so maybe that's the magic - who knows? Each of them are hydrating/soothing and my skin appreciates that. I use azelaic acid and a retinoid on alternate evenings, but in the morning I'm more interested in soothing and protecting my skin. I have niacinamide in my moisturisers, which may also be playing a part, as well as green tea and licorice. Best wishes.
Great to know that Picnogenol and Q10 are good with Sunscreen!!!! I’m currently using the Indee Lee Q10 toner. I pray that all over and follow it up with Derma E peptide and collagen serum which contains Picnogenol. So far I like both products.
I mix a few drops of TO pycnogenal into my daily moisturiser before spf, it works great and feels so soothing and moisturising. Sinks in well, I have combo skin. I find a gel type moisturiser works evening better with the pycnogenal 👍
Generally speaking my dry sensitive skin really like panthenol, but it particularly enjoys the combination of panthenol and soothing ingredients.. The Beauty of Joseon Calming Serum, for example, is a fairly new product to me and my skin and it is quite quickly becoming a staple product in my routines
If you don’t have sensitive skin, this combo has worked AMAZING for me : TO vitamin c powder (or in silicone) with TO pycnogenol and TO resveratrol + ferulic acid . This at night or in the morning before sunscreen is amazing. It has helped me clear my acne (of crs i still do get pimples here and there) and made my skin super bright and glowy. Super amazing concoction for fighting free radicals and from sun damage. Sometimes i mix the vitamin c with just one of the two antioxidants to save money/product but when i need a real pick me up, i use all three and within an hour, my red pimples become less red and inflamed! My sunscreen also contains a little bit of vitamin e as well so i think that may also be helping in the antioxidant department
Niacinamide and azelaic acid. I used Cos de Baja Niacinamide Toner and Paul's Choice Azelaic Acid Booster. Now they are included in my Tretinoin prescription.
I'd love to see a this or that for the Cosrx d-panthenol cream vs the new purito 10% panthenol cream. Both are 10% panthenol but the purito one has some other interesting ingredients like niacinamide. I think it would come done to the texture.
Thank you so much, Kelly for your amazing recommendations. I'm inspired to try the Paula's choice Discoloration serum, although my antioxidant+spf morning routine has been quite effective so far (It took me ages to work out what works best seasonally for me - ugghhh Aussie summer is tricky). Night:My beloved (main) ingredient pairs are: retinol + panthenol (ceremide or glycerin or all of these :D). What I've found very effective for my combo skin are Paula's choice retinol + La Roche Posay's B5 balm (or Avene replenishing cream). These duos work like a dream, causing zero irritation. Morning: To protect my anti-aging hard work, I use Niod's survival 0 (+ a thick moisturiser like La Roche Posay's) + Paula's choice tinted moisturiser as the final step in my morning routine. Niod's survival 0 contains Pycnogenol, one of the highly-potent antioxidant ingredients that you mentioned, and a lot more other powerful (I meant effective) non-irritating ingredients. This product claims to protect your skin from blue light, in addition to UV rays.
I got the Wishtrend Propolis serum since you have recommended it so much 😊 I enjoyed all those combos suggested, love your channel. I’m mixing at night Cerave cream and B oil, I was afraid of getting breakouts because I never use thick creams or oils, and when I do I get pimples on my chin and nose, but this combo has really repair my skin barrier which was stinging and my skin is much more moisturized and soft.
Definitely Bonajour Propolis Serum after TO’s Salicylic acid mask I also like to layer Centella Asiatica Ampoule before my Retinal product I like Licorice extract products before Azelaic Acid Once you know what ingredient and plant extract does what it’s so easy to layer
I bought the inkey Q10 I have had it for about a month and I actually really like it I haven't had much luck with that brand but that one is a winner I use it at night to.
OMG thanks so much for dissecting the Cosrx Centella serum. I simply thought it was just one of those fancy serums that contain cica and hence have been underestimating it!!!
There was just something special about this serum that really made it stand out, I think they did an excellent job supporting the cica with pinus bark!
Thank you Kelly for these awesome recommendations 🙌. My go to vitamin C serum presently is the geek and Gorgeous vitamin C serum, it's has really improved my skin greatly 😊
I was waiting for the (moisturiser/oil) combo 😮because u always add couple of drops of ur favourite oil to STRATIA liquid Gold ( I do the same btw thx 2 u)❤️
Haha yeah I thought about adding that one in! But I wanted to focus on more uncommon pairs. Oil and moisturizer has been saving my skin lately with the winter weather!
Great video 👍🏻 I’d love to know if your skin can tolerate the vitamin C derivative Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate like in the The Ordinary’s Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F or Ghost Democracy’s Lightbulb Serum
I tried a sample of the Skinceuticals Phloretin CF from my pharmacist and enjoyed it, but I haven't bought a bottle yet. I was thinking of putting a bottle of resveratrol in my online cart. What are your thoughts on resveratrol?
Kelly , I use the Cica loaded Purito Green level Buffet Serum . I was worried about pairing these in the A.M. together but, I couldn't see my routine without the Old stand by . The smell of Purito Green Level Buffet Serum . They say not to mix the Ordinary cooper Peptide. Why? I ask everywhere. The Purito has no cooper peptide. Can you please go deeper in formulation. WHY cant I use cooper peptides with Pycnogenol. I couldn't find anything on it written . I found vitamin c and other antioxidants.
Girl your doing things on this channel that I've never seen any other skin influencer do. Could you discuss foods or drinks that can help with clear skin? I have heard you should skip dairy. And gut health is key. I heard zinc pills help with acne too. You have to take care of your inside too.
With those particular products you could do the toner first and argireline serum second just based on the old order of cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer. But both are forgiving textures so it won't impact your results either way you do it!
My skin hates, like haaaates, The Inkey List Q10. Anyone have product recommendations for a different brand? Or any ideas of why this one causes stinging and irritation? Thx ❤️
I've been looking at so many hours of skincare youtubers and must say - every video I learn something new from you! Impressed.
If you did a skincare brand based on these combinations I would buy it. Would be a really unique approach

Biobare vit c, niod survival 0, and sunscreen is such a consistently GREAT combo for my skin

That is one of my fave serums! and it pairs with literally everything because its so light weight! Takes the red out of my pimples really quickly too!
I love this topic Kelly! Thank you for sharing your beautiful duos!
really love this kind of content, so helpful! 🙌🙏😍

My favorite combo's are: Tretinion and Peptides, Tranexamic Acid and Propolisis . also Pycnogenol and Azelaic Acid.

kelly, for the first combo would the isntree tw-real bifida ampoule be good?
Yes that has a nice plumping effect on skin too!
What do you think of arbutin combined with niacinamide for brightening melasma?
Pycnogenol orally . 400mg. have you heard the research? OMG!!! I ordered us some.
I am intrigued to try cos de baha tranexamic acid (5% tranexamic +5% niacinamide)
I tried a sample of the Skinceuticals Phloretin CF from my pharmacist and enjoyed it, but I haven't bought a bottle yet. I was thinking of putting a bottle of resveratrol in my online cart. What are your thoughts on resveratrol?

Paula's choice bha is stronger!

mandelic acid 5 skin prep water + cosrx bha blackhead liquid + isntree real mugwort clay mask = powerful purifying but non-irritating combo
azelaic acid + retinal = reversing age for sensitive skin
For the argireline and hyaluronic, in what order? Example: cleanse , hyaluronic toner, argireline? Or argireline goes after cleanse
HA works best on damp skin so I would guess it goes first after cleansing :)
With those particular products you could do the toner first and argireline serum second just based on the old order of cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer. But both are forgiving textures so it won't impact your results either way you do it!
