    Thanks for reminding us that skincare doesn't have to be complicated or over the top. That's an important lesson to anyone following skincare UA-camrs. What I mean to say is that we often see UA-camrs trying out lots of different and appealing products and the instinc is to rush and buy everything. This can be counterproductive to the skin itself and to our wallet, as well as creating fomo. So I appreciate your message in this video! And I like the expression "edited choices" 😊💖

    Cosrx snail essence followed by snail cream makes great buffer before tretinoin.Very moisturizing and protective.I don't feel dryness and skin tightness in the morning.Few times a week toner with PHA Works great for avoiding tret irritation

    I love comparing our routines! I am getting my face lasered in a few days and had to stop all my actives for a week prior so no tret, SA wash or azaleic acid. I was so scared that my acne would go insane but my skin is looking way better than when I use those products. I am totally shocked. I have been using the Im From Rice Toner, Misha Mugwort Essence, CosRx Snail Mucin Essence and the Numbuzin no.3 serum (2 in the am and 2 in the pm). That combo has given me glowing skin and now I don't even feel the need to add the others back in.

    Kelly could you think about how to incorporate copper peptides into an already established routine ? I know you can use it with retinol now but they still say not to use with “strong antioxidants” and I’m not sure what counts as “strong” as a lot of my toners/serums have at least 1.
    Thanks for the vid Kelly ❤❤

    • @KellyDriscoll
      @KellyDriscoll  Рік тому +3

      I think a strong antioxidant would be like vitamin c or retinol, most of the antioxidants in toners and serums wouldn't be considered "strong." But honestly, all these "rules" about copper peptides have gotten a little out of hand, we've been using it successfully for decades without all the complicated advice.

    Hi Kelly we went from barely Spring to full on Summer at the beginning of June here in the UK - no time for skin to acclimate at all. I was struggling a little as my heavy creams were no longer sinking in well and I have to opt for lighter weight layers at this time of year. My skin is still very dry in the Summer (rosacea and eczema prone), but not as dry as in the colder months. What does increase though is dehydration - no matter how many fluids I consume orally. A new favourite that has really helped is the Jin jung sung soothing moisture essence which I bought to try. It's quite glycerine heavy and has really quenched the dehydration I was feeling. Paired with a couple of layers of Round lab dokdo toner, a layer of Tia'm vita B5 toner and then this on top is my base layer morning and night. I've been using serums as my treatment step too - the Kate Somerville Delikate has been a favourite for a few months paired with the BofJ glow deep serum in the morning. Moisturisers I've played around with a little depending on the weather and of course a really good base layer of ultrasun as my spf. Best wishes.

    Since trying out tons of Korean creams and moisturizers, I just cannot seem to use American moisturizers anymore. It’s the strangest thing. I find they don’t have that slip that most Korean ones do and it’s missing the oil/water balance that I’ve come to love. I also notice products I used to love (US ones) pill a lot on my skin which I guess I never noticed before?❤

    Hello Kelly,
    This is a Perfect routine for me since I’m pregnant with baby #4 and I have three small children at home.
    I noticed I’m waking up with my face feeling tight. I’m using hydrating toners, moisturizer and oil at night. I can’t use Tret while pregnant. What can I do to add hydration to my skin? I already finish a huge bottle of Stratia liquid gold so I need to repurchase.
    Best regards

      It might be the air conditioning making the air dry where you sleep. Try adding in a sleeping mask on top of your moisturizer to help seal everything in even more. A humidifier for your bedroom could also be an option to consider!

    Is it necessary to wait 10-20 minutes after applying sunscreen before putting makeup? Because I go straight from skincare to suncreen to makeup without any wait time. I don't have the time to wait when I have to get out by 6AM!

    • @KellyDriscoll
      @KellyDriscoll  Рік тому +2

      It's best to give sunscreen some time to dry before you work on top of it. Use your best judgement, it could be only 5 minutes. Try to do something else in that time like brush your teeth, get dressed, make lunch/breakfast/coffee etc. You can still maximize your time and allow SPF to dry.

    Hello Kelly,
    I was hoping if you have any suggestions for me. I have extremely sensitive, dry eczema prone skin and my face skin has been really dry and itchy lately to the point where it peels. I have tried multiple products such as urea but for me it burns when I apply it. I recently added the cosrx cica toner and the rnw ceramide serum in my routine after watching your vids and my skin felt a little better but a few days later I woke up to really dry, tight flakey skin. Is it a reaction to the products?
    I’m hoping I can fix my skin without steroids but I’m not sure what products to buy especially because I bought a lot already. 🥹
    If anyone has any tips or suggestions on products please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it ❤️

I'd start there before resorting to steroids. These are some product ideas if you need some recommendations ua-cam.com/video/F3jNx1D6aas/v-deo.html
