Almost picked one up back at the beginning of 2020. Dude said the car had 6k miles on it, ODO showed 6k miles, Carfax showed well over 100k. You can't trust anyone's word with these vehicles because the ODO follows the gauge cluster, not the car. Needless to say I called the guy out on it and he swore he had no idea.

These cars were a steal for the power they can make, and being available in manual, but they’re starting to come up along with the G8GT.

Love that sound. I have an 06 with an H-pipe and Flowmaster Super 44s. This is the first setup that I've heard that even compares. Nice, deep throaty growl that doesn't pop. Great job! 😎
Running spintech for 12 years now and I still love it. It really helps to hear the cam. But I love an h-pipe sound too. GTO sounds good.

Those Loudmouths sound awesome! I think the ones you guys put on are the resonators which are just glorified straight pipes. Sounds really good!
That what a loudmouth is. These were actually the LM2 the LM1 was even louder as they had no packing material in them like these do.

@@orangejuicyice1448 idk what year you think you’re in but this isnt 2005 the coyote is a monster with just bolt ons and tune it keeps up with cars well over the 500hp range and that’s back in 13’ they kept getting better each generation
Man I tell you there are a lot of haters out there if I want to say that this guy's shop is the best in the United States I have a right to say that and I do get out quite a bit I've seen thousands of shops in my time and I'm relatively Young just because the shop is all high tech and fancy doesn't mean that they're the best in the business for what I see exhaust addicts does a fantastic job at every exhaust they do it all depends on what your preference is

@@harrishustle it’s not a catback system. A well known muffler shop in Houston retro fitted me a set of mufflers onto my GTO because there wasn’t a system made specifically for the GTO and i wanted the atak.

At the end of the day its still a rebadged Holden Monaro from Australia 🇦🇺 unlike the original GTOs from the 1960s that we're real true Pontiacs.

That GTO isn't even a Pontiac, it's a rebadged Holden Monaro from Australia with a Corvette engine unlike the original GTOs that we're real Pontiacs.
@@CJColvin You are correct and no debate about it, but I still would take this Aussie rendition of a Pontiac over an EV or mustang. But even the original GTOs shared a lot of chassis bits from other GM divisions.

@@CJColvin All valid points, especially with respect to the engines. But I have to give a smidge of credit to GM brass for not totally giving up on the brand before cutting it off at the knees. Lord knows this was/is better than the GM econo boxes with extra cladding! I'd sell my wife's left kidney for a 60s GTO, but decided the safer bet was to get a 4th gen TA. 🤷♂️ Yes, it has the corporate LS instead of a Poncho motor, but still makes good noises!
I bet that borla system was so restrictive that he made at least 20hp with the SLP’s.

They make a few less hp, at WOT, on a 1000hp engine. On this making half the hp, not at WOT most of the time, it's not restrictive at all. It's not a Thrush Turbo which is about the worst "performance muffler" you can buy.

@@saltycanadian6190 They were all straight through mufflers and they were very close considering all factors. The older muffler test on the 500-ish hp engine, that was closer to what you'd see on a common street car. The Thrush Turbo made 529hp, and the Cherry Bomb Salute (one of the cheapest Borla copies) made 560hp, and that's a difference you'll feel on the street and it'd be a bigger difference the higher in power you go. That's about a 5% increase from the restrictive Thrush to the straight through Cherry Bomb.
So basically the difference between 2 straight through mufflers like these is negligible in an application like these. The ProXS is made for keeping the sound mild but not being restrictive, he should've gone for the S-type, Atak or XR1 if he wanted a loud Borla.

@@saltycanadian6190 I don't know anything about Audi, except my friend had a B5 A4, 2.8 5spd Quattro and it was a fun car until the steering rack developed a leak and lack of fluid burned it up, so we had to take it apart and replace the entire steering rack and pinion.

You could fit anything on whatever project you have. If a guy can fit a Hellcat engine off in a Mazda Miata or Jay Leno haves an helicopter engine on his motorcycle then you know you can create anything out here😂

That may be a large bore, but that's just not the SOUND of a V8. No way. The true V8 makes a lope and a rumble that's just unmistakable. That's a V6 sound, no doubt. This video may fool a "piker", but not someone who's owned 3 '60's GTO's back in the day. 😉

One comes with shorty headers from the factory and an X pipe, the other has a 2.75” down pipe with restrictive cats everywhere. I have a goat. I love it but the coyotes usually are louder

One of the many reasons Pontiac went down . Should've never of made that GTO. Shit was trash. Just alot of HP
Actually, Pontiac didn't make the GTO. Holden made the Monaro. GM brought it over and rebadged it as the GTO. And the car definitely isn't trash. The interior had all the bells and whistles to give it some luxury, and it was easily modified by simple bolt-on parts to make it go faster. It was the best bang for the buck out there, hands down.
The 04-06 GTO wasn't even a Pontiac, it was a rebadged Holden Monaro from Australia. Had the 04-06 GTOs had retro styling with modern performance then not it would've sold like hotcakes but it would've also saved Pontiac as well.

@@CJColvin Poor marketing by GM. It was never meant to be a flagship car for GM. It was a fill-in while they were waiting for the Camaro to come out. Ford already had the Mustang and Dodge had the Charger. GM was a few years away from releasing the Camaro, so the brought over the Monaro because it had more HP than both Ford and Dodges base models. The downfall was they didn't want to over market it because it was running the same engine as the Corvette. My '06 had 400hp stock.
