But, "New Beginnings" legitimately might be one of the worst songs ever written. Throw in the extremely rough first recording of "We Care a Lot," with "Greed," "The Jungle," and "Mark Bowen" which were also horrendous, and it was a really, really bad debut. The music video, directed by Joseph Kahn, is based on Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo, a film dealing with acrophobia. Shooting occurred during 1997 in San Francisco, California. It features the lead singer, Mike Patton dressed in the same outfit as James Stewart's character, trailing a blonde played by Jennifer Jason Leigh, respectively dressed the same as Vertigo 's female lead Madeleine. Many scenes are recreated from the film, such as the opening rooftop sequence, Madeleine's plunge into San Francisco bay, Mike moving up and down a stepladder, the belltower sequence complete with the famous Hitchcock Zoom and the psychedelic dream sequence.

Faith no more, was during the 1990s, one of the few bands to follow an original path within the music market so repetitive and full of opportunistic groups. This music video (Clip) is one of the most fun and full of cultural references. A cheap production, but made with pleasure.
I’ve loved this song practically since it first came out, yet never saw the video until now. Nice take on Hitchcock’s Vertigo and a pleasant surprise to see Jennifer Jason Leigh, sultry and severe in full siren mode as foil to the dashingly handsome detective Mike Patton.
This was my favorite song off that album because of the Sonic the Hedgehog "ring" sound Roddy was using. Never knew they made a video for it until now.
When this came out in 1997 I rushed out to get this cd. Great songs on it! I do not believe it got the credit it deserved during that time period. Pretty deep/intense lyrics on this song and ashes to ashes and this song really flowed well with that time period. Lots of music in mid-late 90's, so it kinda fell through the cracks... But dang, this song still feels fresh and new to me... Like so many other songs from this period... I'm ready to go back
Wow. I remember when this band was new and had like 3 popular songs and one was a cover. I never heard this song before recently. It is a great song that I thought was new when it showed up on my feed. After reading the comments and realizing it is pretty old I am pleasantly surprised and playing it regularly now. I guess now I will have to check out their other songs.
I quite honestly have not heard this song since probably the 90's. I think my brother and I had it recorded on a cassette. But from time to time it pops in my head. The beat and the part "your sorrow, tomorrow." What a trip I ran into this. I couldn't even remember it was Faith No More and Mike.

Faith no more, was during the 1990s, one of the few bands to follow an original path within the music market so repetitive and full of opportunistic groups.
This music video (Clip) is one of the most fun and full of cultural references.
A cheap production, but made with pleasure.
What are you talking about ? The nineties was full of original sounding bands ..lol
@@danabella29 Yes. I made a statement. Not an irony. =)
The Real Thing and Angel Dust best albums ever. Life altering 🕺🏼
I’ve loved this song practically since it first came out, yet never saw the video until now. Nice take on Hitchcock’s Vertigo and a pleasant surprise to see Jennifer Jason Leigh, sultry and severe in full siren mode as foil to the dashingly handsome detective Mike Patton.
this is one of those bands where it is literally required to have the volume cranked to 110 for every song
Saw them live the one and only time on the tour for this album. One of the greatest bands ever. Hope they keep making records. Saw Bungle last month!
This was my favorite song off that album because of the Sonic the Hedgehog "ring" sound Roddy was using. Never knew they made a video for it until now.
Yeah, it's like a hand bell. :-) I love that 90s ROMpler sound, before everything was supersaw and wobble bass.
wow I knew I recognized that sound form somewhere.....
I'm ready to go back
Just what I needed to see. Great band.
Wow. I remember when this band was new and had like 3 popular songs and one was a cover. I never heard this song before recently. It is a great song that I thought was new when it showed up on my feed. After reading the comments and realizing it is pretty old I am pleasantly surprised and playing it regularly now. I guess now I will have to check out their other songs.
this song is amazing, that riff man
I quite honestly have not heard this song since probably the 90's. I think my brother and I had it recorded on a cassette. But from time to time it pops in my head. The beat and the part "your sorrow, tomorrow." What a trip I ran into this. I couldn't even remember it was Faith No More and Mike.
You know when forget about a song or even a band and then your like yes it's like hearing it again for the first time
1:21-1:22 This shot warms my heart. What a beautiful soul. Or conniving little devil. Probably both. Definitely both.
