"Mashiroki Fuji No Ne" Japanese Requiem : Lament for the death of 12 boys

- This tune was based on an American hymn. The lyrics were written in 1910 soon after a tragedy in which 12 students were drowned in the sea near Enoshima island, which is famous for its superb view of Mount Fuji.

It was made into a movie three times with the same title. They all have the same name, and are called "Mashiroki Fuji no Ne" ( =Pure White Fuji Ridge)
