Happy Tanabata 2024!

Japanese is a beautiful language. Shame I know so little of it.
ik full n5
I wish to know more of its story and legends. Animes are great but myths are usually peak fiction
As a child, I went to a Montessori school for a few years. They would occasionally have various projects to help us learn a bit about other cultures. One time, the school's Japanese language teacher taught the class this song. I wasn't a Japanese language student, so I eventually forgot the words, but always remembered the melody. I eventually dug around the internet enough to find it, and I'm glad I did! Remembering that it's about the Tanabata was truly a touching moment, and having the privilege to re-learn it means so much to me!
This is what I’m learning on my viola 😭
I love this song and I listen to it everyday ❤
