I made this today as it is my brother's birthday. The Colour was pinkish. I have added vanilla essence to remove the smell of beetroot. It worked. "Red Velvet cake's specialty is the color which attracts. Then the cream cheese. But the color wasn't red.
another thing it's pink color because I think not enough beets ths other recipes use 5-8 beets 11/4 cups don't quote me or cake is small cause SHE used 2 7x8
Decorating cake with prepared çake(red)...What an idea..nice.....but u can replace sugar with jaggery/ Brown sugar and Maida with wheat flour to have it healthy.....👍😊

so add some red food coloring
