- The Locksmithstoolbox.com has now got these. C4 keyway or LW5 Now we can pick and decode the bitting on all the vintage Lockwood locks in our collections and make keys for them.
This tool also suits Abus or any locks with the C4/LW5 keyway.
This is a first look and feel of picking a lock with a Lishi Pick
With delicate picking with subtle feedback. This is going to be a lot of fun learning how to pick and decode locks with this tool.

Awesome 👏👏👏👏
A bit of a learning curve with these 😀
Tapered pins are the hardest to get the feel for. Spools will give you more feedback. Tension is very important. Sometimes a bit more and sometimes less.
Will take a bit of getting used to it.
Lockwoods are not east like some of the others.
Let me know how you are coming with it!!😀 I have some tips and tricks after using mine for quite a while now.
Very happy for you!!! 🐈🐾🐈⬛🐾🇬🇧🍻🐕🦺👍👍👍👍👍
Thank for your help. It felt so different. I try and pick the Locktons first, they have standard pins and from memory that are all standards. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. I'm so excited to have this. I want to become really good at picking with it. Makes a difference not having to hold a pick to pick with. A lot easier on my hands, Pats for Slinky
@@PocketWomen good place to start!!!
How ever I can help will be happy to!!!
Happy picking!!!

@@chriscapune7873 Perhaps if you could do a video with what you have learn't about decoding and picking with the LW5 and lishis in general, that would be helpful. A bit of do's and don'ts as well. Thanks heaps Chris.
@@PocketWomen just posting a Lishi pick of the Lockton. Should be up in about 10 minutes 😅
@@chriscapune7873 Excellent that you mate, this is so exciting! I've got a Lishi
So happy you have a new toy. Really like the case it comes in.
Thanks mate, It's going to be a steep learning curve for sure, cheers
Woooo Hooooooo....
Congrats on getting hold of the LW5 Lishi. It has to be said that they are a thing of beauty. Looking forward to seeing it in use.
They are a great design. Really looking forward to using this. Thanks for watching and commenting, cheers
Those lishis are great pieces of kit!
They are so different than picking with a pick. The feedback is different but I am liking knowing where I am in a lock and am starting to feel when a pin is set just not getting tension right at the moment. Sure is a big learning curve. Thanks for watching and commenting, cheers
ya i got a couple lishi and not at all the same as picking so far iv only gotten a master lock open with mine and yes i love how much easier they are on my hands! i wish you good luck with yours they are pretty neat!
Dana you really do need to start making content! Had no idea you had some Lishi. Which ones do you have and do you know about the new SC20 lishi, that lishi is the master key bitting for quite a few SC1 etc keys so instead of needing four or five SC lishi you just need the on. They don't sell them here yet.
@@PocketWomen ok i should of said a few i think but any ways M1/M2 ,sc4,kw5,and am5 but like i said i have not had much luck yet but iv only had then about a month and have not had to much time to work with them. oh that sc20 sounds awesome
CLKsupplies did a video on the release of the SC20 recently, worth checking that video out, cheers
@@PocketWomen do you know what one!? iv looked over a few of them and am not seeing lishi listed in title but iv got a couple saved i think it might be in
@@PocketWomen the best tools video and it kind of explained it and seems really cool and then i priced one and maybe some day but i got my four lishi for about the price of just one of those hopefully the price will drop and then ill take another look at it!
What a great tool I have the AM5 it’s a learning curve I posted my first go with it I was fumbling about it just feels so different but a fun toll to learn 👍🏻
Feels so different for sure. I guess the AM5 is for the American 1100 or for that type of keyway or does it do Master Locks as well. Thanks for watching this video. Have a fun week ahead, cheers
@@PocketWomen yes for the 1100 keyway also some master and federals I believe
So happy you finally got yourself a Lishi, hope you enjoy it PW! have fun ! :)
Thanks mate. Very happy to finally get hold of one. This is going to open up a whole new world to may vintage Lockwoods. Have a good week, cheers
Cheers matey
Welcome to 'LISHIE" ville sis
Take your time, with it,can tell you my first time playing with it was frustrating
Be patient and feel each pin,it will take a bit of time
Stay well and Happy New Year
Thanks Matey appreciate the advice. I will take my time, patience , practice and perseverance, Have a good week ahead, cheers
Awesome pw. You will be having some fun with it. I'll send you those spacers soon to test for me. I'm about to release my review of it tonight or tomorrow.
Very cool thank you. It feels so different picking with this. It's going to be a steep learning curve. Have a great week mate
Very nice! I haven’t been able to convince myself to get any sort of Lishi decoder yet.
I have so many vintage Lockwood padlocks that I just don't want to put a pick in or that I can't pick. This will give me the opportunity to make keys for them all. A Locksmith buying this would have it paid for in the first lockout they did. So it was always a difficult choice to buy one as a locksporter. I waited a year for these to become available to lockporters and I only jumped and got one now because they were on special. A lot of the other lishi I have watched come down in price but this lishi wasn't going to be sold at the thirty dollar affordable mark. Thanks for watching and commenting, cheers
What an interesting little tool. Mur-Lock 68 has just done a great video using the Lishie.
Anyway, you are going to have a lot of fun with that. All the very best to you and yours 👍 👍 👍 🍻
I saw that video from Mur-lock68 very cool seeing how methodical you can now be with picking and decoding. It's going to be a big learning curve learning this tool but I am looking forward to being able to decode and make keys for my many vintage Lockwood padlocks and locks. Thanks for checking this video out, Starrylock will be doing a shout for you today, cheers
@@PocketWomen Oh WOW that's fabulous, thank you so much for that.
I really like the way Mur-Lock68 picks and presents his videos, he's talented.
@@BeercanBushcraft Mur-Lock is extremely talented, and shows what it really is like to pick a lock without looking at the key bitting or without practicing the picking. This is what it would be like picking in the wild. Plus there are camera shy locks to overcome! Also that the reality of blind picking is that you will break a pick every now and again.
@@PocketWomen he is, massively :-)
Hi 👋 👋 👋 👋
Thanks for checking this video out, cheers
Lock Picking Lawyer uses these a lot, when he isn't showing how to bypass trashcan locks.
Seems to tap rather than press the picking part.
Thanks for that observation. Good to see you again, A Happy New Year and all the best to your family and friends, cheers
I have the AM5
Is that the one for American locks like the 1100 Thanks for watching and commenting, cheers
My interest in Lishi 2 in 1s had really wained but you and DALP have me looking at them again. Interesting noises in the background by the way! Maybe a bird?
Yes birds it was just after dawn that I filmed this and the neighbourhood was waking up. I have a lot of vintage Lockwood padlocks and 201 cylinders that i just can't pick or don't want to risk wrecking by picking the standard way. This lishi will mean that I don't have to impression them I can decode them and make a key. Thanks for watching and commenting, cheers
@@PocketWomen 🤣 I can't say how many times I finished a project of filmed something in the am after a long night. I'm guessing that's what happened here rather then you being an early bird yourself. So much easier to work when everyone else is sleeping. 😴💤
Exactly!. I try and do my filming during the day, especially if it is on a project, but with something like this I will do the filming usually just after cat breaky time five thirty am and then grab some sleep if I can. Becoming my wifes carer has changed things a bit so I usually will film when I am not needed or when she is asleep. Living with insomnia helps!
