REVEIW: AM5 2in1 Lishi pick

- A review of this AM5 2in1 pick which I've found to be a great bit of kit for locksporters and locksmiths alike. I did say it was a 'Lishi-style' pick in the video, since it does not carry the logo, but I now know it to be a genuine Lishi.

Nice video... That is an authentic Lishi pick. That is a silhouette of Mr Li - meaning it's an 'Original Lishi'. The other logo (the word LISHI in a square) are known as 'Genuine Lishi' but are actually a licensing deal UAP Tradelocks made with LISHI years ago.
Cheers. Unfortunately it was after making the video that I watched deviant ollam's informative video explaining just that 🤦🏼
UA-cam no longer allows annotations so I can't correct it. How helpful! 😆🍺
@@Dmaclocksport Yes, UA-cam is staggeringly useless for the largest video hosting platform. I saw afterwards that someone else mentioned it. No biggy though, still a cracking video.
Great review and demo! Thanks for sharing mate and have a fantastic week.
Thanks, and cheers for watching 😁🍺
Perfect timing for this review as I have the AM5 Lishi on my wish list. 🤞
A nice toy to play with for sure 😁👍🏻
Update: I did get the Lishi AM5 from my understanding wife and I can't say enough about it. I've been really struggling with the 1100's and have recently gone to progressive pinning on all of them. Taking out pinstacks 4 and 5 on one, 1 and 2 on another etc... started having some success but it still felt random. Then I got the Lishi and it was a real eye opener. Tension, pick pressure, being able to feel what was set vs overset and binding order. I have to say I believe it's a great training aid and hopefully it gets me thru to the next level. Thanks again and Happy New Year Dmac! 🍻
I have one of the Yale ones only because of how common the Y1 keyway is. As a locksporter as well I don't really have much need for one, but if I did buy another it would be one if those, just because of the number of locks I own it would work with. They are quite fun, thanks for sharing.
Same here mate. Those lovely, positive AL pins make using this pick fun 👍🏻
Nice to know it works in other locks. Never ran across those 2, but good to know!
Great review!! I do think that is a genuine Lishi 😃
I think that company asked if I would do some reviews.
I really forgot to get back to them with some more questions. Well done!!!

Yes, I remember your video. I wasn't keen to review the product they asked me to review initially but this certainly seems to be a great bit of kit 😎👌🏼
@@Dmaclocksport 👍yes fun Lishi 😃🐈⬛🐾⛄️
Sweet!!! I need one of these. For as many as I pick. And for the ones that are terrible 😂. Luckily haven’t come across one I couldn’t open……… yet😜. Good stuff Dmac!
Need or want? 😆
Thanks for watching dude
@@Dmaclocksport 😂. Mostly wants, rarely needs!
I thought the Allen wrench was so you could reverse the tension bar for lefties.
Nice review 👌
I am still sceptical, where these lishis fit into locksport, but they definetly look fun 🤔 Especially if they are presented like this 🤗
At some point i will go and buy one myself, just for fun 🙃
Cheers 🍻
I was of the same mind. They are by no means an essential tool for locksport but, if you have the budget, they are a fun toy to play with 😄👍🏻
That “Chinese looking fellow” is Mr. Li
Thanks, yes indeed. In my ignorance, I'd assumed it wasn't the real deal in the absence of an English worded Lishi logo. Have since done a bit more research including Deviant's excellent lishi video and realised it is a proper lishi and that Mr Li is there staring me in the face 😁👍🏻
