    🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
    00:00 📷 Shane reviews the Panasonic 45-150mm f4.0-5.6 lens for Panasonic Lumix cameras.
    02:34 🌄 The lens delivers sharp picture quality, especially in well-lit outdoor conditions.
    05:29 🎥 Zooming while filming can be challenging without a tripod, as it may cause camera shake.
    06:11 💰 Shane got the lens at a great price and finds it useful for travel photography due to its extra zoom capabilities.
    07:12 📸 The lens is a good option for photography but may require extra care for video recording, especially when zooming.

    Your video is one of the videos i watched for recommendation but my project is more for outdoor skating videos and probably gonna make it 4:3. I'm on a budget by the way. If you didn't recommend this camera for that, can i ask you what best budget camera and lenses in your opinion for this ?
    P. S. : if you still recommend this camera, is there any lenses that you recommend, especially for outdoor night shooting?
    Thank you thank you. Your mission is completed by the way, this helped me understand more about this camera if i'm gonna purchase in the future!!

    • @SeezSantos
      @SeezSantos  2 роки тому

      Most cameras including the G7 have the option to record in 4:3 I wouldn’t recommend it since you always want to take advantage of the whole sensor. You can always edit in post for that format.
      For the out door skate content are you looking to capture content like this? The wide fish eye look! ua-cam.com/video/3VtHuJn-MC8/v-deo.html
      If so even if you don’t get the G7 there are plenty of wide Engle fisheye lenses or adapters to achieve this look!
      I’d recommend you get something with innbody stabilization. Would really help you achieve a stabilized look! While at the same time not having to to get a gimbal just yet!.
      The G85 or G95 are budget friendly and have in body stabilization.
      if you do want the wide angle look the lens from Panasonic is what’s going to run you around 800 dollars 😫 the Panasonic fisheye 8mm f3.5 Would be your best bet for both video and photo!
      If your to go with let’s say a used G95 plus the lens your going to want to budget around + or minus 1400
      Thank you for leaving this comment! I’m glad I was able to help you! If you have anymore questions feel free to ask!

      @imuyasiqlib 2 роки тому

      @@SeezSantos you have no idea how great it is to hear this !!! well, it's not necessary for me to get the wide fisheye look but just enough with the ratio of 4:3 for me, it's just my favourite. i'll stick to this camera option thanks to you. i just need to get to know more about this camera in the future. by the way, any mic you recommend about this specific project? since most of my future plane is all about skating.
      once again thank you thank you and thank you!!!!!

    How do you get rid of moire pattern while recording video?

    • @SeezSantos
      @SeezSantos  2 роки тому

      Dang! This is a tough one since the pattern is created due to the lack of the anti- aliasing filter on some camera systems. During recording you could have your subject slightly out of focus to reduce or eliminate the effect. In post production you can add a slight blur to your footage to soften it up! There are some filters you can buy that add softness to your footage that can help reduce the amount if moire that appears in your video while recording!

    • @SeezSantos
      @SeezSantos  2 роки тому +1

      Great question! I personally love the Sigma 17-50 that you see me use on my videos. It has a great focal range as well as being a fast lens. (F2.8) and with the right speed booster can go as low as 2.0. You can find the lens plus a budget speed booster for less then 500. if your looking for a native lens that doesn't require an adapter with an equivalent focal length your going to have to spend way more then 500 dollars.

      Depends. What is your use case and your budget? I have an OMD EM10 III because back then I knew nothing about anything and it was the cheapest new mft camera that shot 4k. Then relatively recently I got the og bmpcc that only shoots 1080p 30fps but can record RAW and ProRes and since Ive watched around 11 youtube turotials, I am suddenly a pro and all about color depth and dynamic range now 😂 My gf on the other hand doesnt need all that dumbass nerdy bs. She is a tattoo artist and has other shit to worry about, so what she needs for her videos is, well, good video but not necessarily 10/12/14/16bit color. She shoots in a controlled environment and exposes for the skin. That is it. The backdrop is supposed to be a dark blur (privacy & visual continuity reasons) so that added dynamic range you have with RAW, ProRes or even LOG footage over regular 8bit w/standard gamma curves is actually kinda redundant in this particular case. 4k is good for post stabilization and re framing. Also needs to be easy to use, relatively small and have a flippy screen. It has all that at around 200 bucks used where I live. So yeah. If what youre looking for is the best 4k 8bit mft camera you could possibly get for 200€ or less, I guess the G7 is it.
      PS: Ray Lamontagne, yay :D

    Great video. Have a Canon Rebel and wanted to use it to shoot time lapses (sunsets, sunrises, etc) but it shuts off after 29 minutes of recording. Do you know if this camera stays on without a time limit. And would you recommend it for something like I’m trying to do. Thanks

    • @SeezSantos
      @SeezSantos  Рік тому

      Your better off using the photo time lapse function vs shooting constant video. Most if not all entry level cameras have the recording limit for certain reasons. The newer g series camera like the g85, g95 or g100 and obviously the GH 4,5 and 6 do not have a recording limit. There is a hack on the USA model to remove the recording limit on the G7 if you are looking at a budget option.

      Depends on your lighting situation! Go pros are good to mount in tight areas you and you can also attach different lenses with the right equipment to produce some really cool looking footage.
      But they produce a lot of noise in your footage if your shooting in low light so that is something to keep in mind.

    • @SeezSantos
      @SeezSantos  2 роки тому

      This a great question ! There are some draw backs to slowing down any frame rate but with 30or 24 you can only do it so much before the playback looks choppy in post. What editing program are you using ?

    • @artsmodelstation9396
      @artsmodelstation9396 2 роки тому

      @@SeezSantos Adobe Pro. I read you can record in FHD, do your slo mo in post then in post upscale it to 4K ? I don’t even know what all that means but supposedly u end up with a 4K slo mo video.

    • @SeezSantos
      @SeezSantos  2 роки тому

      @@artsmodelstation9396take a second and think about what your asking for. If you shoot in 24 or 30fps you only have those frames you can working with. So in premiere there is a thing called optical flow that can artificially slow down your footage but can have mixed results depending on your source footage and what’s going on in that clip. There are some AI tools in the works that I’ve seen but nothing that has hit the post production market yet that will make anything shot super slomotion like.
      So to recap in premiere use optical flow. Upscaling to 4K won’t make a difference since you will only have 24 or 30 fps to work with.

      @@artsmodelstation9396 oh okay so it’s a similar functions that most Zhiyun gimbals should be able to provide. What’s sucks is that atleast with the gimbal I have is it connects to the remote port on the G7 and the only function it provides using the provided cable by Zhyiyun is starting/stoping recording or snaping a picture as well as remote time lapsing. Since the G7 does not have a USB port I don’t see any other cable on the market that can give it more features. You can however control your camera through the LUMIX Wi-Fi app and change the ISO and shutter speed as well as control the focus.
      Again this is not an issue with the gimbal it’s just the limitations with the G7 since there is no USB port.
